Perfect and compact.
We have had our babyq for nearly two years. We take it everywhere with us, perfect for camping trips, bbq by the beach or at the park. Our food comes out perfect every time, even big roasts. Easy to clean and use and the carry bag makes it easy to travel with. It’s great for the two of us or even for a small family.

Beware: Plastic frames melt
I have owned 2 of these Webers now (one familyQ and one BabyQ), they are a good BBQ other than the dangerous fault of the steel frame melting the plastic stands when roasting. This has happened to me twice now, yesterday being the latest incident. Its a bad fault for an expensive BBQ so they need to built with a steel stand. Contacted company and hoping for a full refund on both BBQ's...but won't hold my breath.

Hi WB, thanks for your feedback, looks like I'll have to clean the BBQ after every use to be safe.
Both fires occurred when roasting with a trivet, as per weber videos. My theory is that the trivet ... Read more
reflects heat back downwards in the base of the BBQ which causes the frame to melt into the nylon. My BBQ is in the open northern sun also, and both meltdowns occurred on hot days, this may be a contributing factor so I think your engineers might want to test future BBQ designs in high heat conditions (we live in Australia after all).Similar opinion? Absolutely useless and overpriced.
The Baby Q is good for a lot of things - great even cooking as a BBQ. But for Pizza - using the overpriced accessory - it is absolutely useless - not hot enough and stews it to death.

Hi Chris, thanks for your review, and we're sorry to hear you're not happy with your pizza stone accessory!

trivet as well as the stone? We'd like to help you get the best from your barbecue, so we need to know how you were using it :)Preheated for 20mins. The second pizza went in about 40mins after the bbq was first turned on and still took forever to cook. Yes used the foil tray with trivet over and stone on top.

Was the stone in the barbecue when you were pre-heating? and what setting was the barbecue on while you were cooking the pizza?

Weber baby q 1200 series. Came with no side tables to sit food on. 60 bucks thanks very much. Decided to roast a chook on the weekend thought I,d get a rotisserie. 160 bucks thank you very much. Assembled and read the instructions. Seems I need a convection tray to roast meat above. The only reason you need this is for rotisserie cooking. Did not come in the packaging. What a rip off! Made my own with an alfoil tray. Now I,m up for a hot plate to cook bacon and eggs while travelling because that didnt,t come with the little gem either. Weber re...Read more

Be careful if you buy a trolley with it and pull it around while hot. The Weber will pull straight off its mounting points.Purchased in September 2021.

Best BBQ. Nothing beats a Weber!
I have had this Baby Q for about 5 years now. I upgraded from a 4 burner to this. At the time I thought it was a downgrade due to the size of the BBQ but this thing is awesome! It is easy to clean, cooks well and things just taste better.
I also bought the half plate as it comes only with a full grill and really the only issue with the size for me is the family bbq where a pile of onion is on one side of the plate which is a bit hard. But realisically the size is perfect. It is small enough to cook and concentrate on the times and how well eve...Read more
rything is cooking. I will eventually buy the bigger Weber FamilyQ on the frame.... but until then, this has served me for about 5 years without a drama and I expect it to continue for at least another 5.Purchased in January 2021 at Barbeques Galore.

Great BBQ
Fantastic BBQ that cooks everything well. We were pleasantly surprised at the wonderful flavour the meat has after being cooked on the Weber. We use this BBQ all the time to cook everything.

Great BBQ AND customer service
It's a fantastic BBQ, I use it all the time; everything from steak, to roasts and pizza - everything has come out great. I love it and have no regrets in buying my Weber Baby Q at all.
And also it should be said that Weber customer service is just as good as the BBQ - I lost the hinge pins to the lid whilst moving, I emailed customer service on the weekend enquiring where to go to replace them, I had a response by Monday morning with replacement pins being sent out under warranty. And i received the new hinge pin set on Tuesday sent via express post, that's great customer service!!
I can honestly say get a Weber and you won't be disappointed!

Best BBQ ever
Our weber cooks everything, cakes, roast vegetables, Rib roasts, pizza's, all without much effort at all. When in our RV the Q is all we need. Wind will slow the cooking time down but it's no difference to any other gas flame unit. Can even do scrambled eggs on the Q. Love it.

Perfect for a small family
We are a small family (mum, dad & toddler) so we don’t need a big BBQ. This one is perfect! It cooks steaks absolutely perfectly, salmon is also a favourite when cooked on our baby Weber Q and my toddlers favourite is chicken skewers (he won’t eat them any other way unless they’re cooked on the BBQ). The BBQ is easy to clean, it takes approx 2 mins to give it a nice wipe down. It comes with a fat catching tray so it makes cleaning much easier. It’s also small enough to store away, we don’t leave ours outside although occasionally it is left out...Read more
side and it has no effect on the BBQ. It truly is an amazing BBQ for cooking delicious foods at home. We also have the additional pizza tray - and all I can say is oh my god. It’s a wood fired pizza without a wood fire!Purchased in March 2021 at Barbeques Galore for $349.00.

I have had this bbq for over a year now and I love it. Friday nigh essential if you are having a bbq or a family gathering. food like steak, sauseges, prawns, kebabs you name it is cooked evenly and precisely. its easy to clean using a steel brush, water and some wipes. the bbq copes amazingly in any weather condition thanks to the lid and the fact that you can move it.

Get little unit
I have had my Weber Baby Q for about 5 years now and I love it.
This unit is the perfect size and does way more than you expect from something this size. It is big enough to cool a pork roast, brisket or burgers for 10 people but still small enough to take camping for a weekend. I also like that it doesn’t take up much space on our deck leaving more room for us to entertain and enjoy the space.
Because it is nice and small I find it very easy to keep clean. This is also largely due to the quality of the product as our unit now sits outside...Read more
, uncovered, in direct exposure to sun wind and rain, about 50m from the ocean. In these conditions I was expecting the elements to take a major toll on the unit, but, after 3 years in the same spot, it is still standing strong. The unit holds heat beautifully and gives a pretty even distribution across the grill with only a few hot spots. Temperature control is quite good however it does run on the hotter side so “low and slow” can be more challenging. One downside is that there is no zone control with this size and that can be a pest however it isn’t very often that I’m hoping to cool things at different temperatures on my barbecue and I haven’t felt the loss of not having staging space as you’d find on big complicated units.Purchased in August 2021 at Barbeques Galore.

Great little BBQ
I have had this BBQ for 13 years, and use it at least 5 times a week. I cook all my steaks, sausages, chops and chicken on it, rather than getting my stove dirty. It is easy to clean and wipe down. I have also cooked fish and roasts on it, always am happy with the results. It copes reasonably well with wind, and as I have it on my verandah is under cover.

Best Ever After Sales Service
While this is in relation to my 3 year old weber baby q, the review is on the after sales service. To put it simply absolutely first class! Had a problem with a broken burner bracket so rang weber for assistance, the lady I spoke to was extremely knowledgeable with the product, and when I gave her the serial number she informed me it was under warranty (a very generous 5 years) and that she would dispatch a replacement for me. Two days later it arrived - could not be happier with the product or service.

lt unless exposed to extremely high heat (like when there is a fire), and they do not catch fire for no reason. Most common causes of fires are user error (using incorrect setup, wrong setting, etc) or because they were not cleaned prior to a fatty cook. On the rare occasion that there was a factory fault with the barbecue, we would, of course, assist with replacing any parts that were faulty. If it's happened to you twice with two different barbecues, I would say that there may be a problem with the way you're setting up your barbecue to cook certain foods, which is something we can help you with if you contact our customer service team.
