Hi we have a Weber family Q for over 10 years. It doesn’t have a thermometer but I’d like to cook a roast of beef in it. Where should I have the gauge set please?
Eugene G.asked
Bought Q3100 model and when installing noticed no temperature gauge. Extremely surprised that for the price paid there was none.
Question - Can I replace the lid for the one that does have it and pay the difference? Temperature is absolutely everything in bbq and I would have not purchased it if I knew that it came without it.
P.S. My brother has the same model for many years and it came with the thermostat included. Brilliant bbq and that is why i invested into one, but mine is without thermostat is making it obsolete.

Sorry I'm unsure....just give an approved Weber retailer a call and ask
Weber state on there website they dont sell conversation kits for the saftey of there customers. It will also void any warranty on it.
Weber Barbecues A.Weber
Hi Colin, thanks for your question. We can organise conversions for your barbecue. This is organised through our head office as (depending on the conversion) there needs to be a technician involved as well as the parts. Can you please contact our head office on 1300 301 290 to organise this.
Josh, thanks for jumping in on this conversation. That's not true; we do sell parts to customers. As mentioned above, depending on the type of conversion will depend on whether a technician or gas fitter is required, so there is a process to go through before we can send out parts.
The statement you're referring to applies to US barbecues- in Australia and NZ, it's a different process and we do allow conversions. Hope that helps clear that up!

Hi I would like to buy a family Weber but I need to be able to sit it on my outdoor kitchen bench. Can you buy them without the cart like the 2000 and the baby? Or is there a way I can use it without the cart?

Hi there, we have a Weber Q3200 we are wanting to put a new lid on it. Does the latest lid (with only Q label) on the top fit ok? Also can we just swap the thermometer straight over?? Cheers :)
1 answer
Weber Barbecues A.Weber
Hi Naomi, thanks for your question. If you have a Q320 (older model), then the new Q3200 lids will fit as the cookboxes are the same size.
The thermometers are different shapes, so you'll need a new one to fit the new lid. If you want to purchase one, please contact us on 1300 301 290 and we can organise the order over the phone through our head office.

My igniter is loose and hanging down on Spirit ii. Where should it be mounted or attached too
1 answer
Weber Barbecues A.Weber
Hi Jeff, if you look at this page here, it shows a breakdown of your barbecue (it's the same for a 2 or 3 burner Spirit) https://www.weber.com/AU/en/help/schematics/browse/44012224
If you look at number 24, that's the igniter kit model. That should sit in a little bracket on the inside of number 25, the right-hand side of the leg frame.
if you've got any further questions, please let me know.

Our Weber Q won't light despite replacing the battery. What else should we do?
2 answers
Weber Barbecues A.Weber
Hi Jenny, if you've replaced the battery and checked that there is no corrosion inside the battery chamber, then the button is most likely the culprit and will need replacing. If you contact us on 1300 301 290 and have your serial number handy, we can get a replacement out to you :)
Many thanks. We have received a replacement. Great service.

I just bought a second hand Webber q and the flame Is above the grill and black soot I have tried another regulator From my other Webber q and nothing changed
1 answer
Weber Barbecues A.Weber
Hi Jade, thanks for your query. It could be a couple things, but the first I would check is that you're using the correct gas type, as our Q's can run on Natural Gas or LPG.
You can see on the back of the Q frame or under the side tables a white sticker- this has the serial number on it, as well as the gas type. For example, if it has NG, and you're using bottles, then that is why your flames are burning like that.
If you want to send through some images along with your serial number to [email protected] and we can take a look at this for you :) thanks Jade.

Hello which side is the hot plate to go on. I have the mid sized Weber Q
1 answer
Weber Barbecues A.Weber
Hi Angela, it can go on either, but we typically recommend it goes on the opposite side to the igniter so there is enough airflow to ignite the barbecue :)

Hello, with the Family Q i can see the black and grey lid options online- whats the difference? is one better than the other?
1 answer
Weber Barbecues A.Weber
Hi there, there is no difference in the size/shape/weight of the Q or the performance; it's purely down to aesthetic preference on what colour want. The colour is a premium option available in Weber Specialist Dealers, Weber Stores and online.

Can I convert model number K62050324 to natural gas please.
1 answer
Weber Barbecues A.Weber
Hi Julie, I'm sure you can! Can you please call us on 1300 301 290 and we can organise the necessary parts & technician for your conversion. We will need the serial number to do this, and the number you've provided isn't the correct number- it will have 2 letters and 6-7 numbers, and will be on a white sticker on the frame that has the Weber logo on it. Thanks!

we have bought a breakfast plate for our weber family q but are finding it impossible to cook fried eggs on it as no matter what we do the eggs stick or cook to hard. What are we doing wrong?
2 answers
The best solution will be to turn the gas knob to the fully "off" position. Then get a frypan and lightly coat the surface with oil. Then, while the Weber is still "off" turn on your stovetop and cook the eggs on that.
The Weber Q is either too cool or too hot to cook things like eggs successfully. Also, after a few months your hotplate will keep falling in as one of the other 1 star reviewers has noted.
Sorry.
Weber Barbecues A.Weber
Hi there, if you're finding that your eggs are sticking, try placing a dob of butter on the hotplate before cracking the egg. Ensure you're cooking over medium heat. You might find this helpful here: https://www.weber.com/AU/en/recipes/pork/aussie-breakfast/weber-189124.html

I am keen for a built in Weber.
Is the Q3600 the only option?
Also why is the Q3600 significantly more expensive than the Family Q models.
Does this relate to durability, size, materials....?
Lou
1 answer
Weber Barbecues A.Weber
Hi Lou, thanks for your query. In terms of built-in barbecues, we also have a Summit range here: https://www.weber.com/AU/en/barbecues/premium-gas-range/summit-series/summit-e460-ng-built-in/7261024.html?cgid=221#start=1
The difference in price relates to the stainless steel housing, as well as the re-designed burner system, to fit the built-in specifications. If you need any more information on these barbecues, please let us know.
