Great BBQ; shame about the side trays.
We have two Webers, a Baby Q and a Q2000. As barbecues, they are great. We especially like our steaks done on the smaller one. Both have the fold in plastic side trays and all four trays are virtually useless. They struggle to hold a plate of food to cook or that has cooked, containers of oil or most other items a barbecue chef requires. Looks like a business opportunity for someone who can create a worthwhile direct replacement.

Amazing
This is an amazing bbq, portable and high quality. Much recommended. Got rid of big bbq to completely replace with this for my family. Easy to clean and what i love the most about it is the cooking time is exact unlike the jumback i previously had.

Poor and chipped out coating // Harmful for health - funny consumer supports
my Weber bbq bowl coating chipped out after two years which is serious risk for family health. I asked for replacement but surprisingly they want to send the bowl and I should replace it myself:) :)
Weber is thinking all their customers have gas fitting certificates :) to replace the burner ///////

Great easy portable barbecue
This barbecue is so easy to clean, I love the direct drip tray and ability to replace it with ease. What I hated about other barbecues was the cleaning!! I love the fold-up ability of this barbecue and transportation. So convenient for small flat in Sydney cbd

I love this BBQ
It's small - doesn't take up much room on the veranda. It's portable - we can take it camping and 4x4ing. It cooks food quite evenly across the grill - despite it's comparatively small size it cooks a lot of food because you can use more of it.
The only 'warning' about this product is that if you've never had one of these before you are going to have to learn to BBQ all over again. I've always used the four burner style units with the uneven heat distribution you spend a lot of time shifting food around to make sure they are all evenly cooke...Read more
d. However, with the Webber Q you put the food on and close the lid until it’s ready to turn, then you turn the food and close the lid until you take them off. None of this shifting food around. In the beginning it’s hard to break the habit of constantly attending to the food but once you get used to it it’s so much better.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great gas BBQ
Having used Weber kettles for a while, I decided to purchase something a bit more portable for camping, and this is the perfect size, having a larger family, needed something a bit bigger than the baby Q, but was still portable. It cooks extremely well, and being a Weber, you get the best customer support, there are no real downsides other than it is a bit bigger than the baby Q, so takes up more room, and is also a bit heavier to lug around, but if this doesn't bother you, then this is the perfect portable lpg BBQ for you.

Excellent product
I never BBQ normally but since buying this Weber q last year I do every week. I got the pizza stone which is so much better than making pizza in the oven. Apart from that I just do normal sausages, steak and breakfast. All works so well. I use it on an ikea appalaro cabinet not the Weber stand.

Parts
Regulator went out ? Part no longer available. Replacement part that is available cost almost $50.00 . One can buy most regulators for under $20.00 almost anywhere ! Have kept unit in very clean condition and hate to through it away . But not worth a third the cost of a new BBQ . Last Weber I will buy.

I could not be happier
I recently purchased a near new Q 2000, After all the hype i ( not a great cook ) can say that this is years ahead of my old BBQ, easy to clean and the difference in the food is unbelievable. My only regret is nor buying one years ago and the side tables will not support any weight,

Best Customer Service we have ever experienced...
Our hose seemed to have a leak and we rang Weber direct... they organised for us to collect a replacement Weber and for ours to be repaired so that our BBQ could go ahead as scheduled...(as it turned out we had just lost the "O" ring...) They didn't ask where or when we had bought it or require any proof of purchase, they were just interested in making sure we could enjoy our Weber... Fabulous service, the best we have ever encountered... couldn't recommend their product amd service enough!!!

Cooked twice so far
After giving my 28 year old bbq to family, I purchased a Jumbuck 4 burner hotplate bbq fron Buns, what a total piece of crap. Anyway regretted given my old one away.
Got a refund from Buns. and went on the hunt for a new bbq.
Went to Char broil, Broil king and all others.
Was just about to buy a Broil King and the sales dude suggested I have a look at Weber Q.
So I started the research all over again.
Xmas just gone my sister had just got a W Q.
So we had a hangi down and i also gave the W Q a go witn a Size 32 chicken and 3 pieces of p...Read more

Excellent customer service!
I have a Weber Q & the grill broke in half. I called the Weber 1300 number & got a lovely man & they are going to replace it for me. This is a great bbq & great customer service. It is well worth the initial outlay. It’s also good for making pizzas in

Brilliant after sales service - THE gold standard indeed!
I bought my first Weber Q about 7 years ago and have quite literally thrashed it: I no longer cook in the kitchen oven, do it all on my Weber Q, and if wet, on the baby Q that I bought for just this purpose a couple of years ago.
Leave all the cooking smells (esp the likes of fish and cooking oil) outside rather than in the house. Super easy to keep clean and maintain. But the best point of all is the incredible after-sales service Weber provides...amazingly friendly, helpful and generous beyond expectation. My Weber Q 2200 had a bit of paint ...Read more

Can't praise this enough
This bbq is great for the wife and I. Smallish, portable and not too heavy. Build quality is very good. It gets hot quickly, so far I've only cooked chicken thighs, burgers and sausages on it but it was great. After buying the cookbook I'm excited to try the wide variety of things you can cook on one of these. Cleaning is a breeze with most of the fat dripping into the foil drip tray. Would highly recommend this product. Just wish it had a built in thermometer like the Ziggy I was contemplating purchasing before I bought this.

Poor experience even before the cooking began!
Purchased this unit on the weekend and excitedly assembled it in readiness to showcase visiting family with a bbq dinner...but the pins that hold the lid on were missing from the box. That put an end to that plan! Surely paying a premium price for a so-called premium product, one could expect a better experience. But there's more! I contacted the Weber support desk and all I got was an "ok we'll send you the missing bits in the mail". No information when they will arrive and no offer of compensation for the failure and inconvenience, even when i hinted that might be the right thing to do..Would I buy another Weber product or recommend them?

Perfect BBQ
Excellent little BBQ. You do not need anything bigger. Particularly well sized for our apartment and mobile - I occasionally take down to the park or our holiday home. Can cook for 10 people no problem. I am disappointed that the quality of the lid is a lighter metal than my previous Weber. Also my new one does not have a tempature gauge on the lid which I really miss. Still does a great job.

Great portable solution.
Bought this as a portable Bbq that I could easily bring with me when camping in a camping trailer and it hasn't let me down. I love the Weber name and company. It is easily cleaned and built very well. Because of my impression from this BBQ I broke down and bought a brand new Weber Genesis S-330 for my home. I absolutely love them both.
October 18th 2018 Update: Awesome Grill
Awesome grill. Uses a miniscule amount of propane to get the grill insanely hot. Sears wonderfully. I use it at home, at the camp site, tailgating, family functions. I've cooked bacon and eggs on it (with pan). Steak. Toasted bread. Chicken. Mushrooms. Peppers. The enameled grill grates are super easy to clean too.

Great BBQ
Great bbq for a small family.
We had one of the traditional 4 burner bbq's that not only took up space but was way too big for our needs.
The Weber Q is a compact little unit that cooks like a treat.
We also bought the pizza kit and the results are amazing.
The hardest thing is getting your head around the fact that this bbq is designed to be used with the lid down. This takes a bit of getting used to but once you do the results are amazing.
And a tip for the first few times you use it is to follow the instructions for the different foods you are cooking as we have found that will give you the best results.

Great small grill
The product itself is nice. It's a good small grill that can be used on a table top or with the appropriate Weber stand. This is a single burner grill. The burner is a large oval shape that gives decent coverage. The grill heats up quickly. I much prefer a stainless steel grate, but this cast iron is good. I haven't had any trouble yet with any chipping/peeling of whatever coating is on it. I hope that remains true for a long time.

Can the accessories for the Weber Q2000 also be used with the Weber Q200 ?? For example, the stand/trolley and cover.

My Weber Q comes with the half griddle/grill plate. Can l roast on this using the convection tray & trivet or do l need a full grill plate?

Hi Anne, best results come from using both grill pieces & convection tray/trivet, not a hotplate/grill combo. Thanks!

Hi, we have a four year old baby Q and when I cook damper, roast or biscuits they always burn the bottom and not cook inside
I have a convection tray and a trivet and have tried both half and quarter moon settings

Hi Kim, are you putting the convection tray down first, then trivet? Or trivet, then convection tray?
And how long are you pre-heating before cooking?
