A great shopping centre
This is a great shopping centre with something for everyone. The Hoyts cinemas are great. A fantastic food court with so much to chose from. There are many specialty stores some you can get a bargain. Coles and Woolies are there and a great KMart. It is also wheelchair friendly.
I am impressed with Westfield Burwood.

card itself is average/useful, Westfield assistance woeful
I got 5* $100 cards as a reward from work, otherwise the $500 would've been wasted. I haven't had any issues, except for the fact that I have three cards left, totaling a value of around $80 - $9, $13 and $65. Westfield will /do not amalgamate these values all to one card, meaning unless the retailer is willing to break down their bill to accommodate the smaller amounts, I'm stuck with them. Not good customer service / experience at all Westfield.
I also notice Westfield have not replied to any of the reviews on this site - that in itself screams arrogance and apathy on their part.

I year then it expires - Not happy
I received a gift voucher from a family member and couldn't use it all because I was gravely ill for over 12 months - it expired in that time and think that is so wrong - why 12 months and not 24 months like everyone else - I guess I am out $150.

Awesome Shopping Mall!
It’s our first time at Westfield Warringah Mall in a very long long time.
It’s been transformed and offers some very awesome shops! The outdoor and indoor feel really ads to the shopping experience.
There’s a lot of parking space and plenty of food to try.
There’s also a few play areas for the little kids so if they get a bit bored there’s somewhere you can take them for a break.
My wife spent atleast 6 hours today just checking out all the stores and she truly spoilt herself.
The toilets are kept clean so that’s another thumbs up since my youngest has a problem with going to smelly toilets.
Overall a beautiful shopping experience! The kids even said they want to come back which they never say to other shopping malls.

Gift Card Activation Fee!
I purchased a $100 Westfield Gift Card earlier today and while I know it is only $2.95, I was totally disgusted with a so-called ‘Activation Fee’. With all of the Gift Cards that we have purchased over the years, I cannot recall ever having to pay a Gift Card ‘Activation Fee’. What a rort and a gouge!
Yes, I have purchased one Westfield Gift Card today; however, I can guarantee I won’t buy another!

Westfield Chatswood
I find Westfield Chatswood and excellent place to shop for just about everything.
It has the best variety of shops and has free parking after 6pm which make Thursday night shopping outstanding.

Stinking thieves
Got a Westfield gift card and forgot about it. It expired and I got a replacement card to be used within 2 months. Misplaced it and a month later found it but there is nothing they can do but keep my money and laugh. Do not buy their cards.

Why rip off your customers for parking and shopping in Geelong?
Agreed to go shopping today and had a big spend, new suit, shoes. A book ans other bits n bobs including some personal banking, oh, had lunch too, all inside the W plaza. Left after 5 hrs and 10 min.....$18.00 parking!!
Where on earth did they pull this fee from? I mean its Geelong not central melbourne or sydney. Most retailers give discounts to customers spending in their centres, nope not even after parting with$940.00 today.
Wont do it again.

Thieves
A friend had requested a Westfield gift card so to appease them I bought it. I'm not a fan of gift cards to begin withand this is yet another reason why.
Not only do these have a 12% surcharge per card which is absolutely ridiculous, but when ordering online they charge another $6 for postage. $6 postage for a little card. All up, it cost me over $60 for a $50 gift card that has a 12 month expiry date.
Corporations love the fact that people think cash is a "lazy" gift. Cash is a gift card that can be used anywhere and gift card is just guaranteed money for the companys.
If you are thinking of getting a Westfield gift card as a gift, do both of you a favour and just give them the money.

Know your company know your products!!!!
Today I chose to use my gift cards outside of Westfield Shopping Centre. I went to Dan Murphy's, Big W & Woolworths...each and EVERY one I was told it was not possible! Well I DID and it worked...your staff inductions must be a joke or you have hired the wrong people...apalling service, attitude and staff knowledge. .. get it together and hire a decent trainer...30 years in customer service and I am available !!!!!!

Gift Card rort
In an honest oversight, I didn't use my $500 gift card in time - I politely and honestly explained my situation to Westfield and asked for a 1 month extension, only to receive an automated careless response "CLAIM DENIED"
"We have assessed your request, and in this instance it has unfortunately been declined.
Westfield Gift Cards can be used in over 8,000 retailers across all our shopping centres, and as such there is a reasonable expectation that they can be used within 12 months of issue."
I had asked for my claim to be escalated only to receive another automated response and have not heard anything from anyone in 3 weeks.
Basically, they have blatantly taken advantage of my oversight and stolen my gift money.

Bunch of thieves
My husband was given 2 x $100 Westfield XS gift cards for Christmas December 2016. He is generally slow to use his gift cards and I just found these in a drawer. Well, in the smallest writing they could possibly manage, on the back of the gift card, it states that they are only valid for 12 months. My in laws paid good money for these gift cards and Westfield has decided to steal their $200 dollars. I don’t know anywhere in the world that can steal your money if you don’t use it within a short period of time. 12 months is not long when you have 3 children under 5 and barely get the chance to go anywhere let alone Westfield. This is outrageous, stealing pensioners money, shame on you Westfield, you are dead to me.

Penalty for Staff to come to work
Westfield!... value the Retail Staff who help keep your Center functioning and eliminate the Corporate Greed to penalize those who earn the least....$1300 per year parking ...is totally unfair...Forced On the roof cars are subjected to weather extremes, blazing heat, torrential rain and gale force winds...and yet, Westfield Staff are exempt ?:-(

Kirala sushi train
Newly opened, tried a couple of times. Food is average. Service needs to improve. However, one thing I can’t stand is one of the sushi chef seemed like having a runny nose last time I went, he was making sushi in front of customers and keep sniffing his nose, maybe he should wear a mask? It’s quite off putting thinking he might dripped on the sushi

A $50 Westfield gift card costs $55.95. Other gift cards don’t have this charge. Will never purchase this card again. Like everyone else says. Stung once never again. I will now avoid all other gift cards as well.

Westfield Southland
The paid parking issue is not going away. I have a relative who works there and sales staff are being harassed by customers telling them to hurry up and serve them as they are on a time clock. It is no fault of the sales staff and they should not be treated this way. Also, free parking after 6pm, what a joke. If you arrive at 4pm and believe that you are okay for 3 hours free parking, as you will be there after 6pm, forget it. You will be charged when you leave at 9pm. You have to physically enter the car park after 6pm to get it free until 9pm...Read more
. So no difference to the first 3 hours free. The car park is now horrible to get around and to narrow as they have squashed more spaces in. Where are the trolley bays...gone...there are now more trolleys left in the car parks. It is not a pleasant shopping experience anymore, as customers are rushing around so they do not have to pay to park their car. Amazing how they removed all posts regarding the paid parking on their Facebook page. Has to be the warmest shopping centre I have been into, even in summer. Custom has dropped off....what did they expect. April 5th 2018 Update: Car park awful I am lucky to go to Westfield Southland once a month now. Ever since the paid parking came into effect, the carpark is horrible to get around, the parks are crammed together and they changed the lay out. The centre itself is old and worn down with a lot of retailers gone and changing. It is not enjoyable anymore to go there. As I am unable to write a negative review on Facebook anymore, as they block all those, I will post it here. Not that they care or respond. Loss of custom also does not bother them. Very poor.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Westfield Gift Card is sucks!
Westfield charges you $5.95 surcharge with every gift card you purchased. Even though you only buy a $50 gift card! I was charged 3x $5.95 for buying $250 gift card. I would give a “0”star if there is one! This is sucks!!! Would never buy their card again and will spread the words not to buy it!

Ridiculous Charges
I have just discovered that buying a $50 Westfield gift card through Woolworths means I have been slugged a $5.95 admin fee for the privilege. After scrutinising the card I can see now that this fee was stated on the front of the card but in very small writing. That is an 11.9% charge - that is just ridiculous. I will certainly never buy one again.
