Multiple issues - not happy with this fridge
I bought this fridge a few years ago and now I’m having multiple issues. My crisper freezes the vegetables despite efforts at changing temperatures and settings etc. The far bigger issue though is the fridge is making a loud buzzing sound intermittently throughout the day and night, it seems to be getting louder and there must be a fault with the fridge. This is so disappointing, total waste of money!

Old dog can learn new tricks
An ancient writer credited with the adage, You can't teach an old dog new tricks, seems to have got it wrong!
That's how I feel after settling in with our brand new Westinghouse refrigerator and freezer.
For the first time, we opted for a 'bottom freezer' design - and that meant changing a lifelong habit of reaching for the top door handle to access the freezer.
Many times during the first few weeks I found myself opening the wrong door - not a serious error, of course, but a little annoying.
Another wise old owl from the past, who suggeste...Read more
d old habits die hard, was pretty accurate because they do eventually 'die', and I am now enjoying the easy access to the top fridge compartment with the less-used freezer being relegated to the bottom. It makes good design sense to have the fridge sections smack back right in front of you, without any need to stoop or squat and peer into the shelves, or rummage through the vege bin. The drinks and milk shelves on the door inside are now right beside me. I expect the ease of access to translate to a saving in energy as the door is open for shorter periods. This would hold true for the freezer, which has three drawers and a handy ice-maker. The drawers not only allow some necessary organisation of the contents but protect them from exposure to the ambient air when the door is open. Every parent and grandparent knows how toddlers love to have some ice cubes. Now we can let a three-year-old feel just oh so grown up to get his own ice :), withpout any panic to get the door closed in a nano-second. But let's get back to the top-of-fridge, and mind, issues ... The Westinghouse WBB3700WA is a marvellously narrow 60cm wide but still has a 370-litre spec.

Rubbish...either everything in the crisper freezes, or you turn the temp up and everything is warm
I bought this fridge as it was the only one that could be taken up our stairs. The first one we bought (not a Westinghouse) was too big. Foolish me for not doing my due diligence. It is terrible. All the vegetable and fruit freeze in the crisper. I can't believe they could make rubbish like this today. I have taken the crisper out and put other stuff down the bottom, where my milk etc can now be frozen instead. The rest of the fridge however, is not very cold, Basically its a lemon that should never have been allowed to be sold.

Crisper freezes fruits and vegetables
Brand new fridge started freezing fruit and vegetables in the crisper after 2 days. Have contacted Electrolux a number of times and have had two visits from a technician to no avail. I am fed up with throwing out food and having to repeatedly call to get the issue resolved. I requested a replacement and was told another technician will visit to give "a second opinion". I have two small kids and minimal storage in my fridge to stock their food without it being spoiled.
Highly unsatisfactory. I do not recommend this model and find the after service poor.

I am really angry about this. She couldn't care less about the inconvenience this has caused me. As a customer issued a faulty product, all she could talk about were your rights as a company to send multiple technicians out to assess the fridge (obviously hoping I would give up complaining) irrespective of how this affects me. I am supposed to have a third visit from a technician today but have found out I am sixth on the list of the day's call-outs and he is only at the first call now (10:30 am). It is clearly not a matter of priority. And I had to phone up to find this out – I was not extended the courtesy of being phoned this morning with an update.Similar opinion? I do not seem to have the same problem but a bit noisy than my previous WB430. There is a big difference in quality between Aussie and Thai made.
