Two year lifespan
Our Westinghouse Bottom Mount Fridge was working really well for us until it stopped cooling in the fridge section a month outside the 2 year warranty. The service company recommended by the Company could not fix the problem after call out fees, labour and parts.
Purchased in December 2021 at Joyce Mayne Physical store for $1,099.00.

Bought in an emergency and been going gang-busters ever since!
We had a fridge break-down a few days before moving to Victoria and bought this fridge-freezer as the best option available at short notice. It went through 2 moves [ NSW to Vic. and temporary accommodation then into the permanent home] within 6mths. It never blinked. I fail to understand some of the negative comments about the handles, and a few other things.
At the time of buying I didn't think it was quite what I would have liked, but it had the name and the price was good - and we had to have one! I have been extremely pleased with how it f...Read more

Much noisier than I expected
The first fridge delivered was extremely noisy. It was so noisy that it would wake you up at night when the fan & compressor started. We contacted Westinghouse and they sent a technician out who said that after a week it should be less noisy. He arranged for a replacement. We were told that the replacement fridge would decrease in noise over a day or two. It been about a week and while quieter than the first fridge its still much noisier than our old fridge. Apart from the noise its works well.

Perfect, quiet
Temperature is great I have set on average the coolest temperature is very cool. Love the size and design of the vegetable chill draw and the ice tray is great. Door seals very well however can be a little hard to open immediately after closing. We purchased this fridge as it is quieter than our previous fridge,

Love it
The perfect fridge for us. Freezer compartment on the bottom definitely provides more room than the alternative. We have owned this fridge for 3 months now and have noticed our power bill drop significantly. Very economical to run. Extremely easy to clean with a damp wipe. Haven’t heard it make any noise so quietness a definite bonus. Very happy with purchase for our small family

Great Fridge
Love my new bottom mount fridge.Plenty of room, adjustable shelves and the freezers drawers are roomy and so much
easier to find things than in a top mount.
Large crisper with moveable separator.
Keeps everything lovely and cool and is a very quiet fridge.Ice making is so easy.
Easy to clean and looks good.

Very pleased
I love the flexibility. Drawers and shelves can be arranged easily and many ways to suit one's needs. It is easy to clean, quiet, and efficient. Loads of space.
My only complaint..well, not really a complaint, is the crisper. You can set the humidity for veg or fruit. Sounds great but being a single drawer with a sliding divider, it has an expectation that one or the other will be in it. Rather useless to most as I believe most families store both on the crisper.

Great Fridge
We purchased this last year in our move to our own place, and I've been very happy with it.
Of course new, and under warranty. The freezer has a good climate control, and it is easy to clean.
Most fridges are, but this one is also pretty to look at too. I wouldn't be happy without this lovely fridge.
It doesn't make loud noises, at night when trying to sleep...and simply works efficiently.

Good quality
Bought this fridge as it was highly recommended to me. I've had it for 7 years as its as good as new, never needed anything replaced or fixed. Temperature is consistent. Quiet fridge. Easy to take the fruit bins out to clean and glass like shelves are easy to remove to wipe down. Exterior is also easy to wipe down and clean.

Pretty good, few snarls
This is pretty good fridge/freezer combo. It runs quite smoothly and quietly, though it can be a little loud when the motor turns over in the dead of night but I sleep upstairs so can't hear it unless I'm actually in the kitchen.
I only have 2 gripes: 1) It haven't been able to switch the doors so they open on the other side but I can work around that. 2) anything that touches the bottom of the veg crisper freezes. I have lost so many lettuces. I have the fridge on the lowest setting so I don't even know why.
Other than that it's easy to clean, frost free (apart from the veg drawer), and the outside still looks good even through 2 moves. Well done, Mr Fridge.

Spacious fridge
We bought this fridge around 5 months ago, and are very happy with it so far. It is spacious, keeps an even temperature, and is easy to clean. We like having the freezer at the bottom, as this makes the fridge shelves easier to access.
The freezer section is OK, but we find the drawers a bit restrictive. It would be good if the freezer could also be used without the drawers, as this could make it easier to store some large items.
Also, the drawers for both the freezer and the veggie compartment tend to hit the inside of the fridge door on th...Read more

Excellent
Love the freezer on the bottom as I don't have to bend over to reach the fruit and veg. It self defrosts and is easy to clean. Our freezer has two drawers which makes it easy to find what you're looking for. It's reliable, quiet and the temperature is maintained well. We've had it for about three years and are very happy with it.

Great fridge
My old Westinghouse 520L finally stopped after 18 or so years, I did not have any problems with it over all of the time I had it.
I was therefore forced to buy a new fridge and I decided to buy another Westinghouse fridge of about the same size.
I really liked the Westinghouse 530L's fridge portion at the top and freezer at the bottom, unlike the old one.
This new Westinghouse 530L is really great and the upside feature is much easier to live with.
I have an older Westinghouse 420L beside the new one but it is of a conventional type, freeze...Read more

Great Product
We had for a few years now and have not had any trouble as you would expect. its refreshing when a product lasts more than three to five years ( as it should) but it seems things are not built to last. Would definitely buy Westinghouse again, wouldn't look at the others.

Don't underestimate how important easy-to-clean design is!
I thought the Fisher & Paykel looked better quality inside but we could get a larger Westinghouse for the same price and I'm so glad we did. It's so well designed, works perfectly (the quick chill function is great!), and has turned out to be great quality.
Sometimes it's not til you get things home and start using them that you realise the important things, like cleaning! This design is so good, the glass shelves are really solid yet easy to slide in & out & wipe clean under the tap & the front panel even unclips the crisper drawer so it's so...Read more

Fridge on top is great! The rest, not so much....
Within a couple of months, the temp controls started acting up.
Fixer sent out & fixed.
Later, the controls weren't as before (took two taps to alter the settings instead of only one) They sent a "fixer" who said it was okay. I hope so, because Master's is gone.
Seems to freeze-burn the veg drawer.
I hate a door that must be entirely open to get to a freezer drawer-- all of the cold gets out. Sub-zero, as a company, managed to get the fridge into drawers-- why can't the rest do it??

Fantastic fridge, easy to access contents.
Love this fridge, quiet and roomy. Bright interior light, shelves easy to access, easy cleaning. Bottom freezer has drawers that slide out smoothly, with good access. The only small complaint is that the large door is tight to open, and will stay slightly open, will not self close, but after a few minutes there is a chime sound, warning that the door has been left open. Overall this is a good fridge, purchased at a competitive price.

Great fridge!
After doing months of research both on-line and in shops, we decided that the Westinghouse 530 litre "upside down" fridge was the nicest choice. Six months later, I'm pleased to say that that decision hasn't changed. There were other fridges with lots of fancy (and, when we though about it) unnecessary features, but the Westinghouse was a good, simple (as in, less to go wrong) design. It is clean and simple in outer design and very straightforward and practical in the way the interior is laid out.
Our original decision to replace our old fri...Read more

Affordable fridge.
Large room for storage. Separate levels & drawers make it easy to store different food. Large freeze room. Stable temperature to keep food fresh. Nice white color. Price is good. Just energy saving is not idea. Door has storage drawers too, which makes the fridge more room. All in all, it's a nice fridge.

Great Fridge! Really spacious
Very easy to clean up spills and lots of room in drawers for fruit and cheese. Doors have lots of room for bottles of all sizes espcially large milk bottles and champagne bottles. Great fridge for families as it has space for everything. Love the white blends in well with my kitchen.

How do I get the wheels down so that I can roll it out? I smell mold coming out of the back and I can't budge the thing to get it out of the space.
1 answer
Remove everything inside the refrigerator temporarily to lessen the weight. Then adjust the wheels, etc.
