Just bought this Westinghouse dishwasher and
it says it was made in Turkey. Had a Miele previously and the inlet from the Westinghouse wont screw on to the tap? Anyone else had this problem? Guess I will have to call in the plumber.

As mentioned in my review of my Westinghouse WSF6606W on 21 September: it is made in Turkey, "as are at least some of the Bosch models and presumably other brands if not manufactured in China, Mexico, or wherever".
Mine fitted onto the same (standard) tap as my replaced 14-year-old dishwasher.
Given the standardization of the likes of hose outlets on dishwashers and washingmachines, I doubt whether your old Miele would be any different, but can't say so with any certainty.
Suggestion: Try unscrewing a garden hose connector from your garden tap and see if it fits onto the dishwasher tap in your kitchen. If it fits, then the Westinghouse hose connector should fit as well. Because the "Aquastop" burst hose protection valve at the tap end of the dishwasher hose makes it a bit awkward to screw it onto the tap, have you accidentally cross-threaded the plastic hose connector on the metal thread of the kitchen tap? If the garden hose connector fits ok, then that is probably what has happened.
Good luck.
...Greg
Found out the tap had a collar on it that had to be removed. Westinghouse now fits.

Where are the thermostats located on a wsf6608w DW. The water will not heat (F8) fault but the element is reading good ohms so must be the thermostat or a controler relay?

i have F5 error code coming up on my machine what does this mean?
2 answers
F5 is a water supply problem. Check the tap is on or if there is an inlet filter after the tap that is blocked.
Hi Vanessa, Did you get this sorted? I have the same prob, wouldn't start a cycle, then i repositioned the inlet hose and it worked again for about 3 washes, but then again F5, plenty of pressure. Rang Electrolux, they suggested I contact the service centre.

Trouble Closing Door
My dishwasher is a couple of months old. When it's loaded ready for a wash, I often have trouble closing the door. I can't see where there's anything sticking out and often try stacking things in different places with NO success and then I eventually seem to get it right. The problem is that I can't identify why it won't close in the first place and I can't figure out what has changed to allow the door to close. Sometimes it's taking me up to a dozen times to sort it out!!! Does anyone else have this problem and have they figured out what's causing it, please???

ELECTROLUX ..Westinghouse
Hi jjp
Shannan from Electrolux here.
We are sorry to hear you are experiencing problems with your Westinghouse dishwasher.
If you wish to discuss this further please feel free to contact me at [email protected] attention Shannan.
Thanks,
Shannan
Thanks for contacting me Shannon. The problem is intermittent. Last night I had it happen again and I couldn't see any problem. After 3 attempts (without altering any of the dishes etc) I got it to close. I've tried pushing in the top shelf support arms - sometimes it seems to do it but sometimes not. I really have no idea why it is happening. I'd appreciate any help you could give. Many thanks, Jenny
I get this occasionally, but always turns out the top shelf isn't 100% right. Try taking the shelves out altogether and see how it goes. If all good, then maybe try the top shelf on the other height.

Hi i have same trouble as Rob F1 is on and cant seem to get it to go cleaned out the machine still nothing please any help?

Did you got this fixed?
Our machine is not quite level and so the door does not line up exactly with the opening. We just push the door on the side to close it easily. We haven't yet bothered to level it. Maybe you have a similar but more serious level issue.

Can I disconnect the heating elements and just have the dishwasher use the hot water......my reason is ...the dishwasher is on a houseboat and we run our power with an inverter or generator...but once it gets to drying dishes the power fails.
Our previous dishwasher was a dishlex and the electrician disconnected the heating element and it worked fine for 16 years.

Hi Minyaka . You could try to remove the wiring to the heater element (the grey box). Though my guess is it may throw an error message about a fault with the heater element then - probably F6 (faulty heater sensor)

How to fix a F9 fault on my Westinghouse dishwasher?

It was actually an F8 fault. We purchased the heating element thingo ourselves from a dishwasher spare parts place and installed it. (hubby is handy, luckily).
Hi my dishwasher has done the same thing do you remember where you purchased the element from?
And how hard was it to install?
