Fridge is in working order
Fridge works well. Great size for family of 4. Keeps fruits, vegetables, food and liquids cool. No leaks. Shelves easy to clean. Overall, no complaints from my side. It's everything I expect from a good decent fridge and freezer combined.

Love our Westinghouse!
We purchased this fridge when our last one died on Australia Day. This was over ten years ago now, and it’s still going strong!
Temperature is adjustable and controllable, and keeps all food nice and fresh. Vegetables stay fresh for a long period of time in the crisper.
Shelves are super easy to clean and remove/move around.

Great fridge
I had to replace my previous Westinghouse due to an issue with the compressor, it was 10 years old which is apparently the life of a modern fridge. I looked around and found that I was back with the Westinghouse. I like the way the new model has adjustable shelves on the door, gives great flexibility and you can use the space well. The vegetable crisper is still one of the best on the market as it doesn't lose space with chunky sides that we saw on other fridges.
It is a simple fridge, no bells and whistles but does exactly what it's supposed to and looks great too. Happy customer.

Quiet fridge that looks great
Temperature control is easy to operate and the unit maintains the set temp. Our main conce was the noise from fridges. This one is quiet, no gurgling noises or noisy compressor operation. Easy to clean with glass shelves that simply wipe clean with a damp cloth. Lots of storage spaces in door. The ice cube maker in the freezer is a delight to use.

Westinghouse Fridge
I have found the temperature to be good over the summer period. I especially like the fruit and veggie compartment as well as the dairy as food seems to stay fresher longer.
I find it a little noisy, but in saying that I think it is only when it is defrosting.
Very easy to clean, I just use a damp cloth, and spills are quickly absorbed.

fridge only cools at highest setting
I purchased the WTB 5400SA three days ago. It's noisy whereas I never heard my last fridge that was a different brand. The sides of the fridge are hot to the touch and making the contents of my built in pantry alongside the fridge hot. The freezer door seals do not have much suction and open too easily. My biggest concern is that I have to choose the coolest setting in the fridge to maintain a good temperature for my food. The crisper makes my fruit/veges wet with condensation even when at lowest humidity. I regret making this purchase.

Recently purchased, Value for Money - WTS
Purchased just 2 days ago (to replace my Beloved Beautiful but non functional Smeg ) works like a dream so far, big interior, actually LOVE the bright light in the Refrigerator, can see into the freezer without light just fine because is at eye level, Freezer is huge, we emptied our 4 drawer Westinghouse freezer contents into it and it all fit no problems, Sound seems fine can’t hear it going during the night, the Sides feel hot to touch which concerns me as we live in the Tropics and do not need any other heat added into the mix ., ma...Read more
y settle down, Doors self closing after a fashion, a little hard to pull open for me .. but I Love that fact as is further protection that the seals will cope in the Tropics . Thanks Westinghouse Good Brand Good Product, our Freezer is Westinghouse and has been a Dream . Happy Customer ..Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

How do I reduce temperature in refrigerator
2 answers
Hi John, I'm not a refrigerator mechanic just someone who bought a dodgy product from Westinghouse and listed the complaint above when I didn't get satisfaction. Obviously you've played with the thermostat dials and now if your fridge is reasonably new contact the shop where you bought it. If it is outside the 1 year warranty tell them that ACCC (think that's the right body)state that a purchaser can expect the product to perform within the reasonable life of the product. I can't remember whether it's 5, 7, or 10 years for a fridge but you want the shop or Westinghouse to fix it now. All the best but Westinghouse are as slippery as a wet eel when it comes to excuses.
Great response thank you but as they say we think we have a lemon. There are no thermostats dials I can find to adjust. Thats the main issue. Thanks again. John

how do i increase cols for refrigerator
Lisaasked
I have just bought a 540L WTB5404SA Westinghouse 1 week ago and now I have a flashing light on the interface. The flashing light is next to colder. I have tried to turn the fridge off to re-set the settings but that didn't work. The interface seems to have locked I can't press anything. I have to wait for over a week for a service due to not being able to be at home because of work. Any suggestions on why the light is flashing? Very disappointed considering the fridge is only 1 week old

I mam sorry that you have this problem, Lisa..but cannot help you, not being technically skilled...no consolation to you but I have not experienced anything similar,,,Hope everything goes well, regards,
Hi Lisa, So sorry to hear of this fault. I'm no tech and bear in mind it is still under warranty.
You say that you have turned the fridge off and on. Like all things now it's all electronic, so on the rh side are the settings.
tap the bottom one until it returns to the first light, then if the light is still flashing tap it again to see if it goes out.
This is setting the fridge colder as lights go upwards. If it still has a flashing light then try the on off again, but this time pull the plug out of the wall socket for say about half an hour and open the fridge door for a few seconds to drain what energy is left in the unit. Then put the plug back in and turn the fridge on, wait for a few mins then open the door and see if the light still flashes if not then it has reset itself. If it still flashes then it's ring the tech number and report it pronto.
REMEMBER this is only a guide and reminding you that the fridge is still under warranty.
Plus maybe go back to the store you bought from, I'm sure that they will only be to glad to help you.
Lastly if you could reply back here when all is fixed stating the remedy, that way others will be aware of what the trouble was.
Hope that this helps you with your problem.
Sorry Lisa, I never have this issue? can't give you tips. Good luck!!
