Great value for the price
Quiet fridge, very easy to clean. Like the alarm as it reminds everyone to keep the fridge door closed. Cools very evenly, haven't had anything frosted or frozen in the fridge section. Crisper is great size and keeps everything fresh. Lots of room in the door section. I like that I can store tall items in fridge, takes 3 litre milk easy. The freezer is good size for everyday use but not if you want to buy in bulk. I like that the fridge and freezer have 2 different settings. The freezer stays chilled even after adding new items to it.

It's ok, but that door........!
This replaced the previous model which lasted for ten years. It seems a bit quieter which is good. Electronic controls are ok. Door open alarm is good & required because the door needs a good shove to close. Otherwise it springs back. Then the beeping starts! No light in freezer but good lighting in fridge part. Seems to cool evenly unlike last model which froze things near the bottom. Very thin skin & easy to dent.

Fits in most Kitchens
This fridge fits most kitchens and caters for our family of five...was a bit pushed on Chrissy day. When its quiet at night I do notice its a little noisy but cannot notice it during the day. A good value, basic and reliable fridge. Stainless steel was an extra $100 dollars so I went with the white which looks great in my white kitchen.

Good for the money
This fridge is obviously not the most premium on the market, but for the price you pay it gets the job done. Plenty of ways you can rearrange the internal shelving to optimise space and plenty of on-door storage too. My only downsides are that the temperature controls for the fridge and freezer are both analogue (expected for the price though) and that the factory ice cube tray-thing that comes in the freezer takes up a LOT of room, you will want to remove it. Overall I would definitely consider if you're in the market for a budget friendly fridge.

Good but noisy
Super good, have it as outdoor freezer in the padio and got a few splashes here and there but over all its going tough. Bought it due to the fact that i have no more space in my small house and can't have a bigger freezer/fridge so i had to take a risk and put it in my backyard padio, the freezer is very good and cold, i had a blackout for about 13 hours frozen items didn't exactly stay frozen but sure stayed cold, I bought the freezer 5 years ago and still going tough, Just had to replace the water for better cooling after it got so dirty, this freezer is very simple to clean and empty out, the freezer is EXTREMELY quiet and standing directly next to the freezer is not to loud but sure is noticeable

Cutting corners but not to bad
After 10 years of the reliable Westinghouse fridge going strong its time was up. We did the research and come up Westinghouse still the best in the price range and size we wanted. We had no concerns due to the other fridge serving us well. Being from a country town neither of the 2 appliance shops had this model in stock for us to look at making it challenging. Once home we noted the quality of the interior compartments have declined they feel and look flimsy and the vegetable draw is not as deep as the last fridge and does not hold a lot for a...Read more
fridge of this size, The shelves runners are not grooved all the way along the slide in making it a hazard when pulling the shelf out to clean, all items on the shelf need to be removed. The biggest concern for us is there is no light now if the freezer!!! Why do they design these without a light? Both our past Westinghouse fridges have had this feature one just takes it for granted there is a light in a freezer. On asking the store which we purchased they said most fridges don't now... Most frustrating not having this ease of looking into ones freezer... Another cut back is the wine/bottle steel shelf that used to be supplied with the fridge this is no longer on offer. The good points are it is slightly bigger and the freezer which holds more. The fridge is very quite when running the light in the fridge is bright and makes it easy to see in. Overall the fridge is fine, it is noticeable the cost cutting measure manufactures are making now to save money.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Perfect for a growing family
I have recently went and bought a refrigerators and when I looked at this Westinghouse model it looked the perfect size that may be needed for a growing family the top freezer section has it's own thermometer for your different foods and is very roomy, the fridge itself has crisper draws and door space is variable to accommodate different size bottles, the glass shelves are strong and easy to clean, this whole refrigerator would be an excellent buy. I looked into the good guys and Electrical wholesalers that delivery was included but bargain for the price you want to pay, not what they want I Did. Westinghouse is a very good Brand.

Probably the best refrigerator we have ever bought.
Our refrigerator was purchased from the Good Guys. It runs perfectly and It maintains perfect temperature in all compartments, particularly the vegetable keeper which has been a problem for us in other fridges (freezing veges). It is barely perceptible to hear. The ice maker/storage unit is so simple and well planned that I think all fridges should have one..

Perfect for our work Kitchen
Very roomy & quite. The glass shelves are strong and as it's a work fridge holds 18 x 2lt bottles of milk with ease.
The glass shelves are easy to clean. Width is perfect for large catering platters. This fridge is opened over 100 times a day and temperaure is always maintained.
The freezer section is also roomy. With so many staff members wanting to sotre frozen food there is plenty of room to accomodate.

Basic, but does the job
I have only had this fridge a week and have found it a bit noisy, but generally good value for money in comparison with others.
It has loads of room in both fridge and freezer compartments and has awesome LED lighting in the fridge compartment, but no lighting in the freezer.

So far perfect
This fridge so far has given no trouble since purchased.
Other gripes by users is trivial as one has to move along with technology being part of manufacturing in today's world. The door setting has probably come about from stopping young children from getting in and having the door close on them. The crisper to me is a 2 hand job like most fridges are.The fridge temperature took some working out but one needs to remember that it has to go back to zero and start again to lower it. if it is too cold.
I set mine up with a cold thermo so as to ...Read more

Excellent fridge - no complaints whatsoever
This is an excellent fridge - efficient and keeps food as fresh as possible. A fantastic upgrade and the best fridge we have ever owned - lots of space for a family of two and our food is in the best condition we have ever had. Freezer space is generous and the ice maker is a good asset.

Make Sure You Check The Bottom Crisper Tray!
We are reasonably happy with our fridge - the crisper tray at the bottom is extremely hard to push in & out. I don't think it's faulty it's just that we never pulled the tray in & out before buying. Maybe it performs differently when fully loaded, I'm not sure. It also had no light in the freezer section. It isn't common to have a light in the freezer but our last one did so we got used to having one :(

Big Family Refrigerator
In April 2017, I required a new refrigerator. We are a family and needed something big that had enough internal space and freezer space. This is the model that I chose. I am very happy with it. There is lots of space internally and the shelves are deep. There is a bottom section for fresh fruit and vegetables and you can move the divider. There is a side compartment in the fridge that can be locked (for medicine) and also a separate section for cheese and smallgoods and nuts. The freezer is quite roomy too so all in all this is a great re...Read more
frigerator (single door) for a family. The only drawback is that the refrigerator and freezer doors dont close easily. You need to slam them shut or they will remain open. You need to get used to this. There is an alarm noise that goes off if the doors remain open too long, so you will be warned and overall I would recommend it.Similar opinion? Still going strong
My Westinghouse fridges have lasted me for years with minimal services or breakdowns. This one is no different, lasting a kitchen refurb then a interstate move.
Quiet, cheap to run and no stains even with the occasional beetroot spills.
Seals are still in good order and hinges still in tact even after the occasional child swing.

How do I reduce temperature in refrigerator
2 answers
Hi John, I'm not a refrigerator mechanic just someone who bought a dodgy product from Westinghouse and listed the complaint above when I didn't get satisfaction. Obviously you've played with the thermostat dials and now if your fridge is reasonably new contact the shop where you bought it. If it is outside the 1 year warranty tell them that ACCC (think that's the right body)state that a purchaser can expect the product to perform within the reasonable life of the product. I can't remember whether it's 5, 7, or 10 years for a fridge but you want the shop or Westinghouse to fix it now. All the best but Westinghouse are as slippery as a wet eel when it comes to excuses.
Great response thank you but as they say we think we have a lemon. There are no thermostats dials I can find to adjust. Thats the main issue. Thanks again. John
