A Great Family Fridge
This is a good size family fridge. The freezer and fridge areas are quite generous and a good size for a family. The crisper is a good size and does it's job perfectly.
The SS finish is excellent and easy to wipe clean and quite pleasant on the eyes, not to bright a shiny. The glass shelving in this fridge is easy to clean and is a lot better than our old fridge that had wire shelving where things would fall rough and over.
It is easy to set controls that suit you, it is quiet running and there is a door open alarm to remind you that someone has left the door open.
Wry happy with purchase.

Great fridge
I had to replace my previous Westinghouse due to an issue with the compressor, it was 10 years old which is apparently the life of a modern fridge. I looked around and found that I was back with the Westinghouse. I like the way the new model has adjustable shelves on the door, gives great flexibility and you can use the space well. The vegetable crisper is still one of the best on the market as it doesn't lose space with chunky sides that we saw on other fridges.
It is a simple fridge, no bells and whistles but does exactly what it's supposed to and looks great too. Happy customer.

Stylish & Functional
This is my second Westinghouse. I am just as happy with this one. Quiet motor, keeps food a good temp. Plenty of options to set up internal shelves and door. I use the slide out meat compartment for an additional fruit & vegie storage. On the freezer, I removed the ice cube tray though it seemed like a waste of space.
I keep a lot of food in the freezer and put it to the test - It passes with flying colours.

Like it and hate it
Good fridge as in keeping temp and the running cost. However the set out of the shelving and plastic compartments makes the fridge size smaller, the right side door lockable compartment is silly as it doesn't open right up and would easily be broken if used daily. The meat compartment tray is a waste of a shelf and is also flimsy

Excellent product
Purchased from Harvey Norman at around $150 less than other retailers and then got a $150 rebate from Westinghouse as well, so net delivered promptly price was around $744.Very quiet, keeps its set temp and food in freezer does not get too cold. Glass shelves easy to clean and hold minor spills. Plenty of convenient trays and compartments. Minor item is ice trays do not empty easily into tray, you have to thaw them a little first. But that is pretty common to most ice trays in fridges in our experience - only our large W'house with ice maker in other house does not do that!

Westinghouse of Lemons
After installation it was immediately known the next day this Westinghouse fridge model was a lemon... 14 hours later the Freezer compartment did not freeze water into ice cubes, frozen goods thawed, fridge compartment temperature was insufficient to keep Milk cold.
Rang the retailer JB-Hi Fi who advised us to call Westinghouse who were apologetic and swift to send an emergency service man within 24 hours to assess this refrigerator.
Upon inspection it was concluded the whole fridge was faulty when the freezer section doesn’t work. It wa...Read more
s not considered repairable. A replacement was sent to us within 8 days, FREE of charge. An excellent service although what does one do in the meanwhile without refrigeration? Fortunately our old (2003) Westinghouse fridge was kept and sufficed the waiting period. Amid all this inconvenience I feel Westinghouse did their best, but rate this model WTB4600 2 stars – Bad and further would not recommend its purchase. Please note this model has been replaced by the newer Westinghouse WTB4604SA / WTB5404SA model. The Fridge itself has 3 thin glass shelves that allow 4 levels of storage. Adjusting shelf height to accommodate groceries can be a challenge as there are fewer grooves to choose from. Fridge door alarm sounds after 2 minutes if kept open and is not self closing. Even though our replacement fridge operates; its temperature needs to be set above default settings for contents to be adequately cold, safe from spoiling.Similar opinion? good all round
We collected our new Westinghouse fridge from harvey norman after seeing them reduced online by $124 off the catalogue price,
The fridge is a good size for a small family, the glass shelfs are different from the usual wire shelfs, you have to be more careful when cleaning them and the whole modern fridge has more shelving compartments etc, so it took a little longer than usual to give it it's pre-use clean,
The fridge is well laid out with the salad drawer and a handy cheese, butter drawer, it's spacious, the cool air is entered by a fan and ...Read more

Quiet fridge that looks great
Temperature control is easy to operate and the unit maintains the set temp. Our main conce was the noise from fridges. This one is quiet, no gurgling noises or noisy compressor operation. Easy to clean with glass shelves that simply wipe clean with a damp cloth. Lots of storage spaces in door. The ice cube maker in the freezer is a delight to use.

Westinghouse Fridge
I have found the temperature to be good over the summer period. I especially like the fruit and veggie compartment as well as the dairy as food seems to stay fresher longer.
I find it a little noisy, but in saying that I think it is only when it is defrosting.
Very easy to clean, I just use a damp cloth, and spills are quickly absorbed.

Not a bad fridge
Had this fridge for a few weeks now and generally happy with it so far. The only problem is the crisper. It's so small! It doesn't open and close smoothly unless you use 2 hands.
The fridge runs quietly but makes some pretty weird noises at times. From what I've read this is normal (sounds like a yeti moaning softly, can be quite soothing)
All in all I'm happy with my purchase so far.

Bought this brand new fridge last Friday 3 March through Appliances Online & it simply doesn't work. Fridge & freezer both not cold. Milk has gone off along with other food. Called Electrolux Care. No empathy from staff member at all. Didn't think I would be having problems from Day One. Very disappointed.

One Cool Fridge...
What do you do when your fridge stops working a couple of weeks before Christmas... and you’re not flush with accessible funds? Search the www for the best deal, and check Product Review to see if that bargain find is really good value :-)
Two months after doing exactly that, we’re very pleased with our Westinghouse WTB4600SA (especially considering it cost $757 delivered, after RT Edwards discount and Westinghouse cashback).
First up, RT Edwards were simply perfect to deal with – a 22% off sale + free delivery and installation. Our loca...Read more
l store only had a display model, but we had a brand newie delivered to our home (regional location) within the week. Now, about the fridge – for starters it looks great. The brushed stainless finish really is resistant to fingerprints, and the recessed handles are streamlined (no space-wasting sticky-out bits). The 699mm width is compact and perfect for our available space. It runs beautifully cool on the ‘mid’ setting, even in the recent heatwave conditions. With a 3.5 star rating, it’s reasonably energy efficient and is whisper-quiet – both important considerations for us. It’s easy to keep clean, inside and out – another big plus.Similar opinion? Excellent fridge
We bought our new fridge in November and went with Westinghouse because of the excellent reviews, because we could get left hand hinges and because our other new appliances are also Westinghouse. We are also very happy with our duo oven and cooktop.
It works really well, keeping the food very cold and items in the freezer like ice cream are also kept very cold.
As stated in the manual it does make some interesting noises but they are by no means loud.
I realise the glass shelves are to stop spillage but would prefer my old metal rack type shelves.

Westinghouse for me
I chose Westinghouse a well known Brand for decades always reliable and trustworthy, quiet and easy to clean and maintains correct temperatures. A pleasure to have in my kitchen and the LED lighting illuminates all shelves as well as the big spill proof glass shelves. The fruit and vegie divider a nice addition as well as the twist and serve ice cubes. Plenty of door storage and easy inside controls. The Brand Westinghouse Refridgerator for me always.

Great refrigerator with old fashioned quality.
I find the top mount freezer easier to use and the refrigerator works extremely well on Medium Cool, as does the Freezer. Freezer keeps ice-cream just perfect. Recommend as price very good too ...around $1600.

What a great, robust fridge.
I'm about 18 months in, from upgrading. This is a much larger fridge - and for only 2 adults, it has been a perfectly working fridge.
It holds a large variety of specific foods (eggs, meats, cheeses, medications) in special compartments, and the crisper works a treat.
Quiet as a mouse and super easy to clean. At times the tray's can be somewhat difficult to remove, given the fridge door only opens a certain distance. I like my ice cubes large, and the ice cube tray only gives smaller sized cubes.

Crisper drawer
The problem with the opening and closing of the crisper drawer is a real pain - is there a fix? Also to NON SELF-CLOSING door is a pain in the backside as well. It is quiet and cools effectively and so far not hard to clean but the above problem is a real bad one. Would NOT recommend the fridge to anyone...

Still no further reply from Electrolux. Harvey Norman have however replaced the unit with another of the same brand/model and that has no problem with the crisper, although the door problem is still there. Bob Davies

The nearly just ok of an average bunch.....but...
The greatest feature is the LH hinge. The best feature of Appliances Online is their price & (eventually) service.
Sadly I am not overly impressed with what is only slightly better than the equivalent in bottom mount design (I tried for 2 weeks), but still nothing compared to the old top mount 540L sadly unavailable as new anymore LG.
Unfortunately these new models are not as high or as wide as in the past, so high liter versions are not suitable in older fridge spaces, so, drop to a poor 460lit.
The greatest feature is the standard...Read more
LH hinge, but that is the only great feature that is particular to us. It is efficient and quiet to a point, but not wonderfully so - average and better than some, so half marks here. The stars are only just in my spec acceptable level.3 comments

t less than 3 weeks old. The tracks, slider tracks similar to wardrobe sliding doors, hang the drawer but I feel 'slide' is the wrong word. It does not fit correctly, there is not a good weight or displacement balance hence even with the door fully wide open, it is a pain to remove and refit, let alone just fully open and close, with out a fight. Hence when it jammed on my wife, and I pushed and pulled, I ended up apples over turkey backwards and the drawer landed on the tiles and smashed into many pieces.I have had it with this now well below average Westinghouse piece of rubbish.
The noises have started, and now we sometimes wonder if it is about lay an egg it gets that bad....every night.... Read more
Now the freezer plastic door compartment fell out and smashed. Brittle ill fitting as I thought but gave it the benefit of the doubt for the first 6 months. The crisper/veggie drawer is now gone from this fridge. It still refuses to fit onto/into the slider slots, and if it is out by just 5mm, it stops the door closing and the whole fridge runs continuously while it defrosts everything. 3 times we have thrown everything perishable out and replaced. I will give this piece of junk away with a big warning to who ever takes it to be aware of the faults and Westinghouse know as well, and still have not responded to my issues in over 12 months. Great fridge but the crisper draw is terrible and is impossible to stop if dropping off its mounting
For almost 12 months we have tried everything to fix the vegetable crisper draw and slide mechanism. We're not at all happy with this feature and are seeking a positive resolution to appears to be a common problem with this model fridge. Apart from the crisper issue, the actual fridge is great.

How do I reduce temperature in refrigerator
2 answers
Hi John, I'm not a refrigerator mechanic just someone who bought a dodgy product from Westinghouse and listed the complaint above when I didn't get satisfaction. Obviously you've played with the thermostat dials and now if your fridge is reasonably new contact the shop where you bought it. If it is outside the 1 year warranty tell them that ACCC (think that's the right body)state that a purchaser can expect the product to perform within the reasonable life of the product. I can't remember whether it's 5, 7, or 10 years for a fridge but you want the shop or Westinghouse to fix it now. All the best but Westinghouse are as slippery as a wet eel when it comes to excuses.
Great response thank you but as they say we think we have a lemon. There are no thermostats dials I can find to adjust. Thats the main issue. Thanks again. John
