Lovely Oven - Till now! The fan makes a noise!
Purchased this oven at Masters in Oct 2016. Up till now, it has performed excellently, especially the fan forced aspect of its cooking as it heated the oven space up very quickly. However, now the fan is making an intermittent metallic "pinging" sound as it knocks on something while spinning. Sometimes it only happens after cooking starts which means that the timer start is not useful when no-one is around to check.
Unfortunately, with Masters no more, the warranty is questionable.
If you buy one, be prepared for this fault, as I see that others have had this problem too.

Really nice oven
This oven is very very easy to use, it has a quick heat up time and love the bottom browning feature..
It is one of the better ovens I've had for cooking cakes scones pies etc and is relatively easy to clean. The automatic off feature is really handy and so simple to use
Just love this oven

Good Cheap oven but nothing fancy
It cooks and it looks good in the kitchen. The door gets steamy when it cooks though and you cannot see inside. I have not seen other ovens do this so not sure why or if it is faulty but I just put up with it. It is in a rental property that really need a whole new oven otherwise i would have bought something better but I am happy given the price

Terrible, replaced with another and doing the same thing
The oven is great and cooks fantastically. However, soon as after purchasing this oven the fan started making a very loud noise as if it was hitting metal. The oven was repaired four times as Electrolux explained that if It could be fixed they would do that rather than replacing it. After it had been repaired four times Electrolux finally decided to replace the oven. (Thanks to Harvey Norman). Long story short, it got replaced with the same model a couple of months ago and NOW my new replacement oven is doing the same thing. I will be ringing Electrolux and telling them to take the oven out and give me a full refund as this is not acceptable.

Great oven
Overall very happy with oven. Purchased this and other kitchen appliances following installation of new kitchen. Previous oven temperature fluctuated so great to have a working oven/kitchen.
Great for baked dinners which we have regularly. Only noticed last night that front of oven doesn't get much heat due to double insulation which is great with 3 young children.
At times can be difficult to clean, but for the most part easy to maintain.

Really happy with this stylish and roomy oven
Decided on this model after lots of online research and noting that it's the largest volume oven in this size range. Simple to use, great functions and fairly even temperature throughout. Cleaning is easy using vinegar and baking soda, and I love the fact that you can grill, roast, bake, broil and toast enough for a large family in this space saving oven. Good value for money.

Perfect option at a low budget
The meals have always been cooked perfect and came out better.
The glass is double insulated, hence pretty safe with kids around!
Had one of the rods on the tray broke, called Customer service and they actioned it straight away.
For the looks and ease of operation, will surely recommend it.

Awesome oven, shouldve got it earlier
Purchased for kitchen reno - upgraded from old electric stand alone oven/cooktop. Easy to use, instruction booklet was only needed for first couple of weeks. It has a delay cooking function which I wasnt sure I would use, how wrong am I!! Friday night put pizzas in when made up around, set end time & cook time, settle down watch footy and bingo - pizza ready and I dont miss any footy. Also, done it with roasts and casseroles.

Wont maintain temperature faulty at install and no help.
We bought the oven 2 years & 2 days ago, however it was installed only a couple of weeks ago. We tried to roast veggies in it a week ago (while still under warranty) & noticed it didn't get hot enough to roast. Tried again last night and same problem. Now with a thermometer inside we can see the temperature doesn't reach the setting. I suspect one of the two temperature switches shown on the wiring diagram (120C and 190C) is faulty. I spoke to an Electrolux representative on the phone, who said they have no technical department I can discuss this with, and no hint of honouring their 2 year manufacturers warranty. Not at all impressed.

another dis-satisfied customer regarding th eWVE 615 oven.
Purchased stove late January tried many times to do roast potatoes no success even after par boiled and 1hr 30mins later at various temps still not browned or cooked. Costly in electricity due to non cooking, thought Australian made would be top rate how wrong can you be, so so disappointed. Are we now stuck with a lemon? my last stove still cooked and operated at much better temps even though it was 16 years old.

Think I've bought a lemon!
Purchased the wve615 couple of weeks ago. Only used it twice due to the warm weather but both times big fail. It takes ages to reach temperature and twice as long to cook as my old simpson oven. This just isnt acceptable - should not have wait 2 hours for vegies and a chicken pie!

DO NOT BUY THIS OVEN - THERE NEEDS TO BE RATING LOWER THAN TERRIBLE
I just purchased the Westinghouse WVE615S electric oven . The amount of air blowing out of the top above the handle is ridiculous. Even standing 1 foot back from the oven it blows your hair all over the place. This CANNOT be normal. how are you supposed to open the door? Very disappointed - I will be taking this much further. Please explain ASAP. I have already been in contact with consumer affairs and the issue has been logged as urgent due to dangerous heat from the oven. I haver reported this issue to the Electrolux centre. I expect a response immediately.

Love my new Westinghouse Oven!
This oven comes to the selected temperature quickly and I'm very pleased with the way it cooks everything. I particularly like the slightly wider inside dimensions that allows for more dishes to be cooked at the one time.
It's very easy to keep clean and looks amazing in my new kitchen. I would recommend this oven.

Does not brown food and takes too long to cook food
I am writing this on behalf of my elderly mother who purchased a Westinghouse oven in the belief that they are a reputable brand but instead she has an oven that does not brown the food, scones turn out like rocks and roasts take forever to cook. She is very disappointed. I have told her to take the matter further; what was promised is not what she got! Expensive and very disappointing.

Dangerously overheats exterior panels and glass, may cause fire
This oven gets dangerously hot after it is switched off. It over heats the exterior of the oven potentially causing burns to skin when touched especially children. I have this oven installed and when its turned off it does not have the smarts to cool itself down, the fan should stay on after it is switched off to cool the oven down progressively but instead it does not cool it gets hotter and hotter on the exterior surfaces. It allows all the heat in the oven to escape from the seals and heats up the glass clock face and stainless steel panel a...Read more
t the top of the oven to the point that it is almost on fire. My microwave which is positioned above the oven also gets excessively hot. My guess is the oven, over time will show signs of burning and the clock and electrics will fail due to excessive heat exposure, and my microwave will more than likely also show signs of burning and failure likely. Not to mention kitchen cabinets showing signs of burning. This will end up being a very expensive claim. Electrolux: PLEASE recall this unit and fix the issue immediately. You need to review this issue and upgrade the software to cool the unit down. If someone places a tea towel on the oven it will probably catch fire.5 comments

u cook is ANNOYING, it heats up the kitchen with HOT AIR. This is really really ODD as it means the oven must be using a large amount of power to heat the inside of the oven ONLY TO SEE it being wasted and pushed out of the oven and into the kitchen area??? WHY?Just got feedback from Electrolux and they advised this oven DOES NOT cool itself down from the extremely dangerous HOT surface problems.

Extremely happy with this oven
Haven't had this oven for long but we have been very happy with it so far. Compared to the (VERY) old gas oven we replaced, this is a dream. Heats up quickly, cooks evenly and in the expected time, and while cooking the door gets warm but not super hot. Timer features are handy. Really nothing I can fault.

Love it so far!
We bought the oven approximately a month ago now.
Have cooked main meals including lasagne in it as well as desserts. Have used the grill function as well as the "keep warm".
Heats evenly and quickly.
Very effective.
Cost is appropriate and easily fitted into the settings that we already had in the house. Would recommend to others.

Hello, Oven and grill elements intermittently turn off then back on during cooking/grilling programs. Temperature drops well below the thermostat limit and food stops cooking.

We have just had a Westinghouse WVE615WC electric oven installed and I cannot find where you see the oven temperature once its reached the temperature you want. Can anyone please help as there is no manual that comes with the oven and the web site tells me nothing helpful, thanks in advance
3 answers
You only have the dial on the right which selects the temp there is no means of telling when it has reached say 200 C It's guesswork...... dont forget you have to turn the dial on the left before hand otherwise it wont turn on
Thankyou for that information, I was going crazy trying to find something that wasn't there. I've never has an oven that doesn't show the temperature. I assumes they all did. It will teach me to ask more questions next time. once again thankyou for taking the time to answer me. Linda
