We have recently moved into our new home and could not be happier with the outcome. We knew we wanted to demolish our existing home, subdivide and build at least one new house. Good Things: I was reading a review about something else and thought it would be interesting to see if any were on here about Wilson and Hart who built our home. We built a few years ago but the staff names from Wilson and Hart are still the same.

The nature of construction is that there will invariably be a few points through the build that will require some troubleshooting especially on individually designed homes and having a builder who is communicative is crucial to tackling these issues head on. Being our first home building experience we didn't know where to start. From the moment we walked into Wilson & Harts display home in Iluka (after looking at what seemed like hundreds) we felt comfortable dealing with them. 2012. we were happy when keys were handed over, there was some issues but the supervisor was working on the contractors who did the works, as there was a couple of issues with the ceilings, but these were ceiling contractor and painters mistake. brick pavers didnt follow council plans, one of the shower floors was too level, no flow or little flow to drain, electricians missed a crucial wiring point in theatre room, foxtel and lan point. plumbers messed up some gas bayonet plumbing.

We went down the building broker and custom design route, Wilson & Hart offered good value – and then the council rejected our plans and we had to redesign the elevation (garage with parapet wall not allowed on boundary).

We had parted with our original designer, Wilson & Hart offered us the services of their favoured designer to sort that out – the outcome was excellent.
4 months after the original quote we finally had planning approval – and they still honoured their quote.
