Horrible customer service I have ever seen. Headache to deal with.
I have 2 cars also home and contents insurance with Woolworth for years and years. This is my first claim. The car was very LITTLE DAMAGED. I took my car to local smash repairs to get 2 quotes as I have been told by them. Some reasons Woolworths still wanted the car to their network repairer to get another quote. Which is quite far from where I live.
The processing now more than 3 weeks but still not finalised. Woolworths wanted my car to be fixed at their recommended smash repair. I don't have any option. Even though the policy didn't say tha...Read more
t. I have such a Bad experience, waste of time for a very little things. I never and never renew any of my insurance with Woolworths. I had more than enough of headache. Calls back and forth, every single time I call Woolworth, I have different responses. I wonder has Woolworth's contact centre staff have been trained properly or not. Even they are not bother to read the notes on my file. This is such a CRAPPY INSURER! don't ever go with them.!!!!!! I WON'T and NEVER EVER renew my insurance with you WOOLWORTHS. I had more than enough. It completely waste of my time!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Claim was taken care of very swiftly
I submitted the windscreen claim on the Monday and I was contacted within 2 days and had my windscreen replacement completed on the Thursday, I cannot fault Woolworths insurance at this stage, I would definitely recommend.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE
It remains to be seen if ongoing service in event of any claim is satisfactory, but today I wanted to insure my a brand-new car with WW. The phone consultant - Betty - could not have been clearer or more precise in her dialogue with me (Sydney based, not oversea) and the entire transaction took not too long at all. So far, so good!

They increase the renew fee for double
The insurance fee was cheap for the 1st year but they asked for auto renew and the 2nd year renew fee is double.
Think about it the car value is down after 1 year but the insurance fee is double.
For 1 year insured no claim, I got double insurance fee, is it reasonable?

Demand your own repairer
First up- I haven't had an accident for like 30 years so times have changed.
The Good stuff: Policy good, cheap because of pay as your drive option, good intro video after the accident, easy to navigate website and lodge claim.
The Bad Stuff : They told me to take my car to Kara's Smash Repairs Woolongong 30 minutes away. I immediately exclaimed that it had only a 3.6 star Google reviews and Woonona Smash Repair 6 minutes away from my home had 5 stars. But they insisted.
2 weeks later and loads of phone calls and emails still no quote.

Easy to do business with
Claim was made over the phone and could not have been easier. Many thanks to the helpful young lady who handled our claim. Repairs were arranged without any problems. As repairers (Guys Bodyworks, Launceston) were very busy we had to wait around 3 months, but it was worth it as the repairs could not be faulted. When they quoted the job the driver's side door could not be opened from outside - they fixed it on the spot. Would recommend both Woolworths Car Insurance and Guys Bodyworks

Totally disgraceful service.
I was given polite service in making initial claim, then it went down from there. Was sent a couple texts advising assessor processing my claim, then when myself and the repair yard tried you contact received no response. 5wks till I got my car repaired and then I found out it had not been approved at point of when car booked in, totally dissatisfied, had to chase up why I had not been approved. I live in Perth WA was told because of the floods and fires over east my claim was not a priority and I needed to wait. I explained my location and ask...Read more
ed how this could affect my car repairs when police report advised of cctv footage car vandalised. Because of such poor service and communication I will not recommend as car insurer to anyone else. Then to top it off car was painted wrong colour, boot does not open properly and the edge of boot is jagged. When it returned for respray I advised and they never fixed.1 comment

Woolworths comprehensive car insurance is a must have
I must say I was very stressed out enough from the actual incident, but Woolworths came to my rescue, very professional people, it was straight forward settlement, no delays whatsoever, especially in the current situation with the covid19, where most services had to operated from the home office. I say thank you Woolworths for your prompt service, and speed you operate at.

impressed with claim as this is first claim getting policy was a dream and not a pain like a lot of insurers
policy easy to set up
claim 4-5 weeks for settlement, money took a long time after car was w/o and needed to ring and onhold for 53 minutes to speak ( shocking long time and big let down, told money 5-7 days it was double and only after phone call. understand large number claims in ACT at same time.
Fix phones and you are agreat insurer ( in past managed big insurance company so I know what is a good company )
you have agood selection of staff ( based on those I spoke to )

Long delays processing total loss claim and call center staff indifferent, unaccountable and argumentative.
Long delays processing total loss claim and call center staff indifferent, unaccountable and argumentative.
Finance company advised me that Woolworths were sending email correspondence to wrong department resulting in long delays seeking relevant documents.
A cheque for the claim was never received by financier and when this was reported, Woolworths representative was denied this and advised me to continue waiting.
Multiple emails were sent to Woolworths but they were not acknowledged. Details for EFT payment were provided at the beginning of the claim and overlooked.
Attempts to pay by EFT delayed on multiple occasions because wrong data entered. No attempt was made to contact me for further information.

I like how you can pay in monthly installments makes it easier for me rather than having to pay 6 or 12 months lump sum
This is the first claim I've made ever so I don't have anything to compare it to however it took almost 2 months to settle probably due to my still being under finance and working a final payout figure

Competitive priced insurance, easy monthly installments
Easy to set up and monthly installments made it easy to pay. Unfortunately had to make a claim which took them 2 weeks to sort out the location of the car even after giving them the exact location and contact details. After this it took another 10 days to finalise and pay my claim. If you need to claim prepare to be without a car for at least 3 weeks at your own expense.

Not worth one star.
The sad thing nowadays is that Company's do a lot of back slapping, spin and empty TALK. We as consumers only get to see the true nature of them when we have a problem and see how their talk stacks up. Woolworth's car insurance for me at least has been a BIG FAIL. When I took out a policy last year their price was fair and they were as usual all smiles to take my money. This year it comes time for renewal and the value of my car on the policy drops significantly while the price for the policy goes up. This seems counter intuitive since I have m...Read more
ade no claims. Worst of all is that they refuse to take any form of payment other than Direct Debit. In plain English they want unlimited access to dip into my bank account at will. They demand I sign away my financial rights. This is a clear sign of criminal cartel behavior in a time when they cant even pay their employees correctly. So shame on you woolworth's for trying to extort me with your fake offer, it's fake because I can't pay it with any normal form of business transaction that does not compromise my financial security. Shame on you also for spamming me with conflicting e-mails full of lies and shame on you for being a bad corporate citizen.1 comment

As good as it gets!
Best value Comprehensive MV Insurance Policy out there IMO. Claim was handled talking to a live person and she was helpful, a good listener and excellent to deal with.
The claim took about 12 days to process (I was not at fault) and they allowed me a choice of repairer (which I needed to remind them of) because they might otherwise have chosen a lesser repairer (Mercedes Benz metallic colours are hard to match) and I wanted a good job done.
Overall, extremely happy!

Renewal a Nightmare!!
After have a slight MV accident Nov 2022, the Claims Dept were FANTASTIC!! My car was repaired by The Body Shop & they were fantastic. When I was trying to change my Renewal details, it took 2 wks before I had any satisfaction. Staff were useless with no communication between each Dept; a Supervisor would NOT speak to me; no phone calls returned but finally a lovely lady rang and solved everything. Extremely Happy Customer now......
