Just some insurance in case of accident
I am happy with the insurance I got although I had to cut my trip down, I would use Worldcare Travel Insurance again for my next overseas trip as it was the most economical and comprehensive insurance. I cannot rate the insurance as I did not require to make a claim however, I would welcome another survey if I did have to make a claim.

A first timer
Our first time with Worldcare them again. Very easy to organise online and a fair premium. We had no claims so we are not able to comment on claims experience

Costs vs Age
Most people don't get the chance to travel overseas until they have retired. By that time they will most probably fall into the age group that attracts an age based levy on their insurance premium. For example a couple aged 32 and 40 travelling to Vanuatu for 1 week in December 2022 will be quoted $93.66 for Comprehensive Duo cover. However a couple aged 71, 79 will be quoted $244.91 for the same cover. As we are a couple aged 71, 79 the "value for money" component no longer exists with us.
We have used Worldcare Travel Insurance probably more than 20 occasions for overseas travel and maybe 5 to 10 times for travel in Australia. We have not had any need to lodge a claim.

Wouldn’t travel without it
My policy was a great price even when I made a mistake with the dates I was able to correct it with no trouble. This is the second time I have purchased Worldcare travel insurance and I have had a great experience both times

I wouldn't trust my health on this company again
The phones provided are not working. By email is not effective, they don't answer fast and seem they don't care really about the problem. There is no other way to communicate, as messenger or WhatsApp. NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!

I did a mistake with the dates of my policy and you couldn’t help me.
A waste of money, I wouldn’t recommend.
Next time I will used a different insurance

Terrible experience
The policy was easy to setup.I did it online like I always do when I'm travelling overseas. I always used worldcare for my travel insurance. This time I had to make a claim because my phone got damage on the trip. I thought I could just get it repaired and don't have to worry about making a claim, but when I enquired at Apple, they advised it has to be replace which will cost $479. I put through a claim online, didn't get any confirmation via email or anything but I had a claim number from when I submitted it. Over a week later, I called beca...Read more
use I had not heard or received any correspondence vai email. The consultant I spoke to was so rude and condescending. I explained what my enquiry was and she told me "so why are you calling when you submitted your claim a week ago, it takes ten business days to process the claim." I said well I haven't heard or receive any correspondence since I submitted my claim, not even a confirmation email hanse my call. she then said "well you will have to call back after 10 business days if you don't hear from us". Her tone was so rude. I received a text from them on the tenth business day to say my claim had been processed, I should receive the funds in 3-5 business days. Six business days later I still didn't receive the funds, so I called to find out why, I was told the payment wasn't processed but it's going to get put through and I should receive it in another 3-5 business days. Up till now I still haven't received it. You get to know how good the insurance company is when you have to make a claim. Well this is the last time I or any member of my family and friends will be doing business with them.1 comment
