Better then Dyson
I was using dyson for couple of years, it is futuristic company ( sorry was) But all products are fragile.
So I decided to try something different but same.
Xiaomi Dreame v9 is fantastic for the price. Better quality plastics for less money, why would you buy Dyson.
No more Dyson for me.

Awesome vacuum
Large house can be vacuumed completely with a single charge. The job this does is far superior the other larger plug-in style vacuum I used to use, and its easy to empty and clean.
Purchased in September 2021 at eBay for $279.00.

Excellent cleaning and battery life
Having had a Dyson V6 prior to this I can honestly say the Dreame is a far better product in every way. It is quiet, powerful and cleans wooden floors and carpets equally well. Having all the attachments on the wall hanger is a boon.
I have only had the Dreame for 2 months but gets a full workout 3 times a week. It does not get clogged up as much as the Dyson and is easier to empty. It is too early to comment on durabilty but it is very well made plus it does have a hepafilter which the Dyson does not have. The Top line Dysons maybe a better long term bet but also cost more than twice as much.

Far superior to the V6 Dyson it replaced, and cheaper to boot
Had a Dyson V6 hand stick for a while, which had an issue with batteries. Seems a common problem with them.
Having had previous positive experience with Xiaomi products (phones, TV box, USB powerbanks), I bought this. It just *sucks*.
Other pros:
* The charger automatically stops charging when done.
* The multi angle floor head is much better than our V6 Dyson - very quiet and smooth
* Long battery life
Apparently the motor is more powerful than the V8 Dyson's - and it's around half the price...
Purchased in June 2021 for $282.90.

Great stick vacuum
Very light, easy to use in any room of my house. Comes with lots of accessories, which are easy to switch out. There is also supposed to be a carpet head accessory being released for this vacuum later this year. The three suction settings are great for saving the battery for areas that aren’t too dusty.

Does it seem good for pet hair specifically and has anyone had to replace the head? And if so, is it expensive?

Pet hair I haven't tested, but mine has happily picked up a LOT of human hair.
The roller slots out for easy access to purge all that sort of thing, really easy to do.
I've managed to get something hard stuck in there and damaged the roller, but even that hasn't impacted its performance that I can tell. I've found a replacement roller (with filter bundle) online for about $20.
Like all stick vacuums they need to be emptied as soon as the dust reaches the max. mark, even tough it may not seems much. It s very easy and quick to do and therefore is ok for pet hair. I have had 4 stick vacs over the years including Dyson Nd the xiami is by far the best
thanks guys

Where can this vacuum be purchased?

I bought mine off ebay. The seller was gearbite. I highly recommend them as they provide 12 month Australian warranty and an Australian plug. I have dealt with their after purchase service and they were quick to respond and great service - they also paid for return shipping with an AusPost shipping label for me to send an item to be repaired.
Xiaomi direct in Melbourne I think

Is this the same stick vac that is being advertised as Invictus or Kogan. They are all made in a China factory, right?
2 answers
No. This one is made by Xiaomi. The Xiaomi brand makes a lot of home appliances and even smart phones. They might all be made in China but they all have different settings. I saw on Kogan they are selling an older Xiaomi stick vacuum (F8) which is less powerful compared to the V9. It is possible the Invictus and Kogan vacs you’re referring to are the same just different names, but I can assure you it’s not the V9.
Definately not
