Great product
i heard lots of comments said the sensor is useless, but there is nothing wrong with it.
i got xiaomi air purifier 3, phillips 2000 and an air quality meter they all got simular readings,
the difference is the phillips 2k thought under 30 means that the air quality is good while xiaomi is 50.
some air purifiers want u to use it more often to shorten the life time of the filter, they intended to lower the numbers.
for example the phillips 1000, it will start to think the air is polluted with a reading for 10+.
you could use a none water base air spray to test out c if the sensor works, just spray a little near the sensor, the reading should jump instantly.

Auto mode is useless
While I believe this unit may work well as a purifier, the fact is that I and other people have reported that the auto sensor is next to useless.
In Sydney with our current smoke it always read below 10 which is super low. While I believe the filter part of it works, the auto sensor can not be trusted. Use one of the manual settings instead, which is a shame.

Good choice for a HEPA filter
Purchased the Xiaomi 3/3H Air purifier with the HEPA filter from Kogan and the purifier was shipped by Gearbite (Melbourne). The purifier does work without pairing to the Xiaomi Home App. Of course, pairing to the App has its benefits but you can just plug the purifier to the power and turn on the device to work.
Product was delivered in 7 days from the date of placing the order and was delivered by express Australia Post. The Xiaomi Purifier comes with a separate electrical cord which can be used in Australia (the plug that has three flat pins...Read more

Hi everyone. I can’t find any info on exactly what it does. Air purification but it shows humidity levels in the app so does it lower humidity too?

No Carol it doesn't lower humidity, it isn't an air conditioner. It filters the air in a room and improves the air quality. The Xiaomi 3H air purifier gives a reading of the temperature and humidity in the room merely as an additional feature.
Thanks for that Greg. I wasn’t looking for an air conditioner, more a 2 in 1 dehumidifier and air purifier but I guess they don’t exist yet.
Hi Carol. Actually Air Purifier / Dehumidifier Combo units do exist. Do a search online and you might find something to suit your needs.

I have just purchased two of the 3H air purifiers and out of the box they picked up readings of 6 and 8 (bedroom and living room, respectively).
They are now down to 1 and 2 respectively.
I find this extremely hard to believe given I live in Sydney, right next to train tracks.
Has anyone else has any potentially incorrect or questionable readings?
@Jeremy I know the air quality in Canberra is worse than in Sydney ATM but what was yours when you first booted up your Xiaomi and what was it able to get it down to?
Thanks everyone

The sensor is useless. In the middle of a smoke haze in Sydney it hasn't gone over 10. However if you manually turn it up (no auto mode) then I believe that it is effective.
if u close all ur windows and doors down to 1 and 2 is normal, just get an air freshener spray a little near the sensor to test it.
and sydney using electric trains, is ok to live next to train tracks, also fine with the high ways, its the main roads with slow and stuck traffic u need to worry about.
