Is there a trick to taking the unit apart for cleaning. I can't get the 'chute' to turn to unlock it and I am afraid if I force it the plastic will crack or break. It has been awhile since it was last used. Any ideas or suggestions?

I've never had a problem turning it to take it apart unless maybe it has been wet when put away and has perished. I'd just force it and see, but yes it may break.

I agree it can be a bit hard at times. I just turn it sideways, lean it against me and hold the bottom part still and turn the shute part. It gets easier with wear. If its stuck spay a bit of cooking oil between the parts, that worked for me.

Thanks for your response. I actually sprayed it with some PAM cooking spray and it loosened it up.

I just used my Yonana Elite Red for the first time, and the motor didn't work at all. However, I didn't buy the machine in Australia (my auntie is in the US and she bought it for me last year). Didn't have time to use it until now... but it didn't work at all. I wonder where I can get it fixed here. Such a waste if it cannot be repaired. Also I would love to know how much is the cost for reparation? I am in Sydney. Thank you very much!

Hi, I just bought it but I have a question. When it's on isn't the white stuff with knife spinning? Cause my is not and it's nothing coming out just all stuck in the tube. Is my machine broken? If it does. I'm so bad luck.

As I recall from the manual, you are not supposed to add frozen cubes. I think it has something to do with the blunting the blades.

Yes we have put left overs in the freezer and eaten it some time later.

I had that issue a number of times. It's still as good but it will freeze solid again. So I have done is put them into a plastic cup and stuck an ice cream stick and there you are, an ice pole.

Yonanas has stopped working, made one batch, cleaned it and went to make another. Everything is in the right place but it will not turn on.
