Fantastic product
I purchased the Yonanas elite model (not shown here) and was skeptical with the final result before trying it . The result with just bananas was fantastic, creamy, soft serve consistency, super fast to process and my partner thought the same. As a sweet tooth this is the answer!

Love it
We love this little machine, uses over ripe bananas that would normally be thrown out. Really does taste like soft serve ice cream and it's instant, no bowls to freeze or waiting for the mixture to freeze like other ice cream makers. Easy to clean, easy to use, healthy and makes areally quick snack or dessert. 10 out of 10.

Great & loved by my kids!
My kids love the Yonanas. We mix it with raspberries and sometimes frozen mango. I love that it's an all natural healthy way to eat soft serve. It really does taste like a soft serve ice cream you would buy from the shops. You need to freeze your bananas when they are very very ripe or you can taste an 'unripe' taste in the mixture. It's easy to clean as well. Great way to use overripe bananas as well.

Yum yum yum
My children had try it at a friends house and raved about ! So we went and check them out. And now me and all the family love it. My youngest calls it ice cream. I can't wait to try more of the recipes. The web site has loads more recipes even banana free ones. Very easy to clean.
Affordable, easy to clean and small size.

tastes like over ripe mushy bananas
I have tried quite a few flavour combinations but the banana dominates. I love bananas but not the taste of overripe bananas which is suggested for use in this machine. Consistency is not comparable to soft serve and if not eaten quickly especially in a warmer climate turns out to be mushy and lumpy and not very appetising. Very disappointed and not as advertised ! Couldn't even convert my family!

Best thing since sliced bread
I love this appliance. I'm the most lazy person and I found this product very easy to use and clean compared to many other appliances. I buy my fruit and anytime I find I can't eat it and it's getting ripe, I cut it up and put them in little freezer bags. As a result I have made all sorts of fruit combination ice-cream but always with bananas included. Other fruits I've done: Kiwi, paw paw, white nectarines (with skin), and even lychees. And when you eat it, it feels light in your stomach compared to ice-cream.
Someone wrote it's noisy but I ...Read more

Pretty much just a blender
Yeh this machine I just bought off TVSN. Its just a blender. Freeze a few bananas and chuck them in the blender. This is simply another appliance to clog up your kitchen and is just totally duplication and nonsense. My machine I've used once and I really can't be bothered getting it out, cleaning it and putting up with the most hideous noise it makes whilst the underpowered motor tries to make creamy ice cream. I'd rather use my thermomix and just do it properly without the noise of a rock concert. It's something you'll use once then chuck it on eBay and rid yourself of the clutter!!

Great dessert - healthy
Highly recommend if you are after a healthy alternative to ice-cream or frozen yoghurt then this does the trick. Just follow the instructions & you can't go wrong. I've only tried plain banana & also banana & blueberry so far. You will find more fruit treat under the kid once you have finished. I use a plastic spatula to get this. It's very easy to hand wash & stores easy.
Healthy desserts, easy to use & clean
Noisy. If you don't follow instructions banana will be icy.

Quick and easy, much better than an ice cream maker
I got one of these for Christmas and love it. If you follow the instructions and make sure your fruit is ripe enough the taste and texture is beyond what you think can be achieved with just bananas and berries.
So quick, so healthy. We fire it up after dinner and make desert when we are going to eat them. In 15 minutes we made 3 different recipes with a quick rinse between each batch.
The 5 parts that get dirty can go in the dishwasher.
Need to be careful pushing fruit in as motor is a bit underpowered.

Ok, but not what I expected
I had tasted a product made with a machine that turned fruit into icecream and it was beautiful. The machine was a big enamel thing and was worth $2000. The yonanas is nothing like that machine. The texture isn't that creamy and I find you can only eat the tiniest amount as it is so rich. Not worth the washing up, although it is not a hard task. My daughter loves it but I am slightly disappointed. Easy to use.
Easy to use. Can use up excess seasonal fruit
The consistency isn't as "creamy" as it claims

the $2000 machine you speak of is a Thermomix

Cool toy
I bought one just a few weeks ago and love it.Its easy to use and clean and I don't have to buy ice cream for my husband anymore.
I never really liked ice cream that much because found them to sweet and I don't like artificial flavors.I'm not to keen on chocolate either so fruit is the only answer for me.I have always liked the texture of sorbet and that is what you get from that machine.Frozen fruit is readily available from any shop and I can always buy fresh fruit at the markets and freeze those as well.

How come it was around $50 last year and now it's $90 rip off motor prone to burn out and if fruit isn't eaten straight away turns to slop

Not wonderful
I found that freezing makes bananas lose their wonderful taste and the texture is not like ice-cream (not that I would expect it to be!) It does give the bananas a smooth texture though.
I don't believe any review that says this machine can make bananas taste like ice cream - I mean, that's impossible! It would be some kind of miracle machine that could do that.
The machine also switched on and off a lot, which was annoying. The bananas quickly turned to mush as it's pretty hard to keep them at the right temperature.
It's a long process. Wai...Read more

Best 'icecream'
Bought one before xmas and loved it so much, bought another for my niece and she bought one for ther sister. We all use them all the time. One girl said it was the best icecream she had ever tasted. Grandaughter won't eat bananas but will eat Yonanas. I mix banana with mango, berries, kiwi, rockmelon, stone fruit. It comes out delicious and creamy and only takes a few seconds. I keep a supply of frozen bananas and fruit so we can grab it and make a batch when ever we feel like some. Easy to do, easy to clean and healthy to eat :) Love it!!
Easy, quick and healthy

Delicious Healthy Treats in minutes
I love Yonanas, it is so easy to use and easy to clean, and takes only a few minutes to prepare. I have made 'ice cream' using bananas and other fruits, I have also made it without banana which I prefer, I bought ripe rock melon very cheap and chopped it into small wedges and froze it ready to use, I also freeze over ripe stone fruit halved, skin and all. I have also added frozen pineapple chunks and frozen berries, I have even frozen yoghurt in ice cube trays and used them along with the fruit. Great healthy treats for kids.
Easy to use and clean

Fantastic
Was considering a cuisine art frozen yoghurt maker but was turned off by the preparation required. This product (with the silly name) produces excellent tasting frozen fruit soft serve in an instant. Bananas are the main ingredient but if you load it up with berries or mango it tastes less like banana and more like the other added fruit. So tasty and so easy! Only bought it a few days ago and so far it's been used at least a dozen times! It's also simple to assemble, disassemble and clean.
Tasty and healthy!

It's fun and easy
I just had to have this machine, and it makes the yummiest frozen desserts. Perfect healthy treats especially for kids especially if they won't eat fruit. Fun, easy to use and clean. Also a great way to eliminate wasting those bananas that no one wants to eat when they go a bit mushy. Just use the frozen berries. Love it love it love it.
So easy to use and clean
Bit on the expensive side

Can you make frozen yogurt ice creams?

Don’t know, maybe u could put a bit of yoghurt into the machine when doing fruit but it’s healthy now with just frozen fruit

Can you refreeze what was already frozen or do you have to eat it as soon as you have made it into a smoothy? I want to make a big batch and eat later save making new batch each time
1 answer
I’ve made small batches and put in a container, I’d eat it within a few days, not long term as I tried banana and berry long term and it went discoloured, like a brown, maybe air got in container, but we don’t have ice cream left in the freezer long lol I just freeze lots of fruits and do it as we need it

Is there a trick to taking the unit apart for cleaning. I can't get the 'chute' to turn to unlock it and I am afraid if I force it the plastic will crack or break. It has been awhile since it was last used. Any ideas or suggestions?
5 answers
I've never had a problem turning it to take it apart unless maybe it has been wet when put away and has perished. I'd just force it and see, but yes it may break.
I agree it can be a bit hard at times. I just turn it sideways, lean it against me and hold the bottom part still and turn the shute part. It gets easier with wear. If its stuck spay a bit of cooking oil between the parts, that worked for me.
Thanks for your response. I actually sprayed it with some PAM cooking spray and it loosened it up.

It sounds as though u may have had a fruit flo where the frozen fruit is mixed with icecream or frozen yoghurt. Or perhaps an actual icecream maker. This is a different product.
