Hi I am wanting a quote for my comprensive car insurance please.
I am currently insured with Seniors I was hoping you could better. I have never had a claim had my license since 1964.
My car is kept under 24/7 security day & night unless I’m driving it obviously.

Quite please
Josie. Considering Youi is before the Royal Commission Inquiry for NOT paying claims, perhaps you should consider an insurer with some history of being there when you need them, rather than being price driven to only find yourself left out of pocket after a claim. Cheers
Hey Boris which word would you consider your favourite, absolutely or fail?
However, you’re on the money with Youi, most complained about insurer in Australia for several years in a row, part of the Hollard group from South Africa. Serial offenders for sales tactics, claims issue and overall conduct, just like most online insurers.......!

Why are all the reviews from outside of Victoria? I have tried to get quotes for car insurance before and youi have been the shitest by far. Why does everyone on here claim they are the best? Have they all been in car accidents and sustained head injuries?
5 answers
Never claimed they are the best, but they gave me the best deal for my dollar ...
Shiraz. How can you state Youi are the best when you have not claimed. Youi has been under investigation by the Royal Commission Inquiry for NOT PAYING CLAIMS and investigated by the ACCC for defrauding customers. Additionally, Youi NZ was just sold and Youi Australia is up for sale as they have been losing market share due the 15 convictions and fines they received. You may as well throw your money in the air because it will have the same outcome if you do make an at fault claim with Youi. Cheers
Boris, I have had a run of bad luck in the last few years. First my dishwasher sprung a leak and ruined all my wooden floors in my house. The whole kitchen had to be removed, the damaged floorboards replaced, then kitchen put back in etc. Then after Cyclone Debbie, my retaining wall collapsed. Then someone ran into my car at the supermarket and just recently my partner had to swerve off the ride to avoid a head on with an idiot that veered into her lane. 4 claims in 4 years I think it is, and all with Youi and it hasn't been one drama. In fact its been easy. My premiums have remained fairly steady (I get a few other quotes when it comes up for renewal) so I at this stage can't say a bad thing about them.

Hey Youi representative monitoring this site.
Is it true that Youi New Zealand has been forced to sell off the business because of the criminal convictions Youi was charged for in the courts of NZ. Is it true that Youi New Zealand is being sold to Tower Insurance. Is it true that Youi Australia is to be sold off to IAG Limited ?

Hi Boris, I'm not associated with YOUi (was just on here checking reviews). Here's an article to answer your questions. https://www.afr.com/companies/financial-services/youi-sells-out-of-stunted-nz-growth-sharpens-aussie-focus-20190924-p52uee
thanks Carolyn. Yes, Youi is selling off. Cheers

Has anyone else noticed that Youi's 5 star reviews are about service at the time of quoting or inception of a policy and 99.7% of reviewers have never reviewed another product ?. There's less than 1% of all reviews relating to a claims experience (which is handled in China and South Africa), however watch that change after submitting this question/comment !. Youi = Fishy !.
3 answers
I am from South Africa now living in Straya and you can be glad it's handled in South Africa. South Africa has one of the world's most developed financial sectors and a lot of insurance companies in Aussie are actually SA companies. Don't confuse South Africa with Africa mate... huge diffs.
Leon. Your reply does not address the question. Whilst you may still be patriotic towards SA, that does not relate at all towards what Youi gets up to in Australia. Unless you can add a valuable comment, I would suggest you take on board a great saying by Mohammad Ali "its better to keep your mouth shut and appear uneducated, rather than open your mouth and prove that you're uneducated". cheers
YES I have noticed this, they are a dodgy insurance company.. all the reviews are about is saving money, not one comment is about a claim someone has had to make why because they hide it. according to Youi its never their clients fault they are more interested in claiming money of innocent drivers that do the right thing. I'm currently dealing with their corrupt company for a not at fault claim with leaving me no choice but to use my own insurance and be out of pocket because of their corrupt system they use of accusing the other party of at fault regardless of what happened at the scene. all because they have more money.. what a JOKE this company is..... GOOD LUCK TAKING ON AAI

Seems convenient that Youi has an employee write an amazing positive review straight from the advertising spiel to counter a negative review time after time. What do you think ?.

Suddenly two new reviewers (Youi Staff) are calling Youi employees 'ADVISERS". Smells fishy as usual !.
Totally!! See how many reviews the people who write. "i saved $xxx by switching to Youi, and not only that ....." Youi, scam company.
Check out the rating stats graph. 2 stars average for five years in a row, then in less than one year it exponentially jumps to over 4 stars - yes I'm mad....

Yet again being overcharged and no compensation
1 answer
This is the same response Youi will give you when you try to make an "at fault claim". Avoidance is Youi's way of dealing with anyone trying to get what they paid for or are owed. I think the Royal Commission Inquiry in to Youi for not paying claims should send a message to all potential customers to avoid Youi, but you be the judge. Bye

is your call centre in Australia and please is there a way you can give me a quote online without calling me?
3 answers
From my experience, Youi has an Australian call centre for SALES and QUOTES, but when you need to CLAIM, you will find your call diverts to South Africa, China, India and so on. Your call will also divert outside Australia after hours. Youi does not do online quotes and will only give you a quote after about 30 - 45 minutes of interrogation over the phone. bye
ok thanks for that
Pleasure.

Hi could you please give me quote about your comprehensive car insurance

You may want to try another insurer as Youi is most likely too busy to answer questions because the "Royal Commission Inquiry" is investigating Youi for not paying claims, but you be the judge. bye.

What is the basic excess for a comprensive car premium
1 answer
Youi has a $1000 additional excess for the first 90 days on top of the basic excess you agree on. That can add up to thousands of dollars.

Based on Youi's history, Youi can guarantee a ZERO payout on claims.

Can I seek confirmation on a few questions I have about Youi's PDS?
We will not pay for any loss, damage or legal liability caused directly or
indirectly:
-18. when the car is being driven by a person who:
• i s under the influence of alcohol and/or a drug and/or any other
intoxicating substance;
• has a blood alcohol level higher than the legal limit;
Does Youi consider influence of alcohol to be anything above 0.00 BAC or only above the legal limit of 0.05?
22. when the car is being used on a permanent or temporary racetrack or raceway, or in a four wheel drive or adventure park
Are public gazetted roads/tracks/4WD trails where the vehicle is legally allowed to be covered on the policy?
26. by the use or application of car parts or accessories which are not recommended or specified by the manufacturer;
If I have a Toyota with, for example, ARB Old Man Emu raised suspension (2" lift which is legal in my state) is Youi's view that because it is not Toyota OEM parts then I am not covered by the insurance policy?
Thanks, Tim

Trevor D.Youi
Hi Tim, cheers for your questions.
Regarding alcohol it is the legal limit so if you are a P driver & your limit is zero this is the limit we follow, if you are fully licenced & your limit is 0.05 we follow this.
Public roads are OK as long as it is not classified as a FWD adventure park. Off road is OK as long it's not a 4WD adventure park.
If you have modifications of any sort we need to know about it & we list it, so can add to your vehicle however we only cover for a certain amount of after-market accessories. Cheers & I hope this helps. Koppo
Tim. Considering most National Parks in most states are rated as "Four Wheels drive Parks", you may want to consider another insurer !.
