Had insurance with youi they automaticly renewed policy and removed money from bank account

Taken money out of account and renewed insurance automatically beware of this happening to you I feel this is quite wrong to just renew policy and would not recommend them for future insurance

Danny from Youi has been awesome. I have been a member of NRMA for 40 years and had multiple policies. I have signed up for 3 policies with YOU I and have saved hundreds of dollars. It's been so surprising that I've been paying such high premium with NRMA even though I've been a loyal member for 40 years. I phoned NRMA and that couldn't be bothered to match the price of YOUI. Thanks Danny

Expensive

When we had the vehicle insured in my wifes' name the premium was $382. Now the vehicle is insured in my name the premium is $478. Why is it so?

Great customer service and easy to deal with Joshua. He listens and let me feel that I am not an object of a deal, but a customer, who is here buy a car insurance from Youi with the right value and terms. Prompt response from him to acknowledge that he will call after I request a return call for a quote. If you like to deal with someone who knows and cares about his work and customers, there is one at Youi.

I was told because of recent events in Australia that is why my policy is more expensive. No reason given as to why my insurance is getting more expensive other than recent events in Australia

Highest price of all insurance

They ended up 60% higher than the company i chose although I'm a rating one driver and only drive less than 12000k a year

Its funny how in a few minutes on the net you can save $300 Got a heap of online quotes and youi came out on top again. Very happy with the how easy and quick it was to get.

Complete waste of time

I called youi after seeing all these satisfied customers on their tv ads. I have tried getting comprehensive insurance for two cars and they won’t cover them. Why? They say they don’t cover THOSE sort of cars. A Holden SS and a Holden Epica. Come on, I have a fantastic rating with my current insurer so why can’t Holden’s get cover?

I received one quote via email for $760, then when I clicked on the link and completed all the information it was $1200, then when I called them to clarify a couple of details it went up to $1500 - even though on my screen the quote was still finalised (with the buy now button active) at $1200. Sent a screenshot to them of the $1200 quote, they then came back to tell me they would honor the $1200 quote but they hadn't fed all the information correctly and the quote they were matching was not like for like - then it went up again to $1296! A absolute ridiculous waste of my time. I would avoid them at all costs, their methods for calculating your premium are seriously shady.

Also recent roadside assist was excellent with old policy - battery flat in old car in garage !

I really didn't like the Youi approach of wanting payment details straight after the price is quoted. Austin eventually agreed to e-mail the quote and details so I could review the offer - we then established payment 24 hours later once I was happy with the offer.

The policy was easy to set up, the agent was very helpful and thorough and knew his product well. I was a little discouraged at the push on trying to get not only mine but other household members to sign on with Youi as well, other than that though, I was amazed at how much I saved, and how comprehensive my policy actually is with the coverage I have on the policy.

Positives:
The calls are answered in QLD and it's easy to get what you ask for

Negatives:
Expensive!!!
premium is based on how far you live from the city/work and traffic incidents on the roads close to your area high/low.
$500 excess for windshield replacement on top of the $$$ you fork out for "comprehensive" insurance so do a youi and go the other way

Appreciated the level of customer service and value for money received in setting up my car policy with Youi that I even transferred my contents insurance too! My husband will now to do the same for his car as we have recently moved from interstate.

They ask too many personal details over the phone. On and on and on...

The online form asked for too many personal details prior to a simple quote.
Then they get you to give your phone number, then ask many more personal questions.
I just wanted a rough estimation.
Be careful.

Caylen was so informative and helpful, and made purchasing the policy very easy. And I saved an awful lot of money from what I was paying Allianz. I think the bigger brands are complacent and will always be overpriced so it pays to make the comparison

Way to expensive

Youi was over $200 per month for me, just switched to another provider for $50 per month - for something you pay for 'just in case' way too much and not a sustainable monthly amount for me.
I did have to lodge a claim with them after only being a member for one month and they were mighty helpful and really went out of there way to give me my preferred outcome.
I was a member from Nov 2017 to Jan 2020

I have always had a great experiance with youi, from claims, roadside assist and now with an update of policy for my new car. The people are lovely to talk to and take the stress out of it all and are fast with getting back to you. Amazing.

What percentage of Youi claim centre staff are based overseas? What companies still have their claims staff working here in Australia? I have had many bad experiences with robotic, unhelpful Manilla-based call centres.
