Excellent BBQ
I went to the shops with the intention of getting a Webber and luckily got distracted.
This would have to be the best BBQ i have ever owned.
We have cooked everything from chops/steak etc. on the grill to pizza on a stone plate (best pizza ever) and a variety of roasts, we do lamb racks often which are just so well cooked nice and pink all the way through.
The only problem has been the quality of the trolley/cart, it needs a bit of a quality control update (see if you find the book "Poorly Made In China", a good read). The bottom tray didn't...Read more

A joy to use
I have owned and used this excellent barbecue for two years and have been delighted with its operation .
I live very close to the coast and subsequently corrosion has put paid to every barbecue I have owned in the past . Not so with the Ziegler, its stainless steel, ABS plastic and Aluminium alloy construction is resistant to the effects of weather and seems to keep its appearance as well . For the most part it is easy to clean, the smaller sectioned grills fit easily in the dishwasher and the paint finish to the dome wipes easily . There i...Read more

Great Aussie bbq!
After owning a disappointing Weber Q200, then a char broil which was good but burnt out in 12 months, I bought the Zeigler & Brown triple grill. In my opinion, well made with a good design for venting, gas burner position allowing three cooking areas (unlike Weber), and good high heat for grilling and roasting. After two years of cooking with this bbq it is just terrific for a gas bbq. Pizzas through to roasts all come out well with practice of course. Cooked for 11 people first time, used all the grill space. Steaks perfect in 5mins, short cut...Read more
s up to 20mins and roasts about 1.5 hours. Easy to clean, pleasure to use. No issues with any part of this bbq to date. No problems with 9 kg gas bottle, although I feel it is just too big whatever bbq it is used for, the smaller 4.5kg are far easier to manage. Would it recommend this BBQ. Yes I would.1 comment

So Far pretty good
Have only had the triple for a few weeks but so far I am impressed with what I have cooked. . I am waiting for the pizza stone and centre hot plate so I cannot say how they perform . Cooking steaks and chops the triple is slower than my old 4 burner which would burn very quickly . This tends to make the meat better. Using a frypan on the trivet is really good because the temp is very well controlled. will update in a few weeks with more cooking to come.

Have had the triple grill now for about 6 months...Read more
and use it lots for all types of cooking, Pizza Roasting BBQ . It took a little while to get used to it from my old 4 BURNer . But now I'm Flying. Very well constructed and very easy on gas . Would totally recommend it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Looks good but doesn't cut the mustard over all
Love the shape and look (style) with the lid down but when it comes to cooking for a large crowd ( advertises for 10-15 people?) I don't think so. The oval shape cuts off areas that a big t-bone would normally fit on a basic beef-eater. It does have cold areas as does most bbq's. Love the bake tray that fits in the middle and have used it for fish, octopus and baked vegies. It was a hit. Will learn to cook on it. Practice makes perfect. Don't like the plastic side trays. They are not big enough and just seem cheap. The Weber offers nothing m...Read more
ore substantial. Over all I feel I don't have the space to cook a typical bogan bbq in one batch. Will keep my old beef-eater on hand. Like it. But after using it even with it's good points (ie: middle baking tray) I would not have purchased. This doesn't mean I would have purchased a Weber instead. It just means I feel it has less cooking space and nothing more to offer than the good old CHEAPER beef-eater.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Do I have a lemon?
Paid over $1000 for this highly advertised Z & B from Barbeques Galore.
Looks good but the cart is flimsy. So badly designed that a standard 9kg bottle will not fit underneath but has to hang at an awkward angle at the end. An an iron bracket screws into the plastic frame of the cart. The plastic cart split. It could not even hold 9 kg! have Had it replaced and then one of the wheels broke. Had it replaced again. The 3 burners heat rapidly but if it is windy & the over large rear vents in the dome face the wind don't expect a decent temperatur...Read more

Best BBQ I've owned by far!
I bought the triple grill to replace my old clunky 5 burner bbq, as it was difficult to keep clean and used a lot of gas. The new "Big Zig" may not be quite as big, but does it deliver! I was considering the Weber 3300, as Weber have a reputation and customer service that's second to none. Rave reviews. What changed my mind to get the Ziggy instead is summed up in a single word; VERSATILITY. The Weber, wonderful as it truly is, has only the two burners and only has really two cooking combinations, two grills or half grill, half hotplate. The Zi...Read more
ggy has three burners for ultimate control and three cooking surfaces that can be interchanged depending on need. The centre grill can be replaced with a reversible hotplate (flat 1 side, ribbed the other) or a cast iron roasting dish, grill, or a multi purpose trivet that handles pots, pans, kettles, pizza stone, or a wok. The side grills can be swapped for reversible hotplates as well. So the combinations of available cooking surfaces are enormous! The Ziggy range all have a thermometer as standard. All grills and reversible hotplates are porcelain coated cast iron. The side tables whilst only plastic seem more sturdy than the Weber and have notches in their ends for hanging utensils. They can be placed vertically as wind shields as well. Also, the portable cart sports a condiment and tool shelf at the front. The accessory range rivals that of Weber, except for the availability of a rotisserie. And conversion between natural gas or LPG is straightforward with conversion packs available when taken to Barbeques Galore. I've made two roasts in it so far. Lamb and chicken. Both turned out fantastic! And you have the choice of lid up OR down cooking. Lid down gives that same great bbq taste that Weber is so famous for. We did chops, sausages and steaks that turned out fantastic. Pizzas turned out pretty much the same as in our oven which also has a pizza stone. Cleaning is easy and the foil drip tray underneath is generic, meaning we bought them from Coles! We tested that by taking the existing one out of the holder and going to the shops with it. So we'll reuse the tray until it becomes U/S then use another. Take years to use the ones we just bought! The burners are easily removable, though slightly more fiddly than the Weber in that you need to hold the bolts underneath with a spanner whilst using a screwdriver. That said, the burners simply then slide off from the venturi for easier access or clean the burner/s it/themselves. Only issue is even with both side burners on LOW, the temp stayed around 190 - 200 Deg C. Then again, it IS summer! Using just one side burner fixes that problem pretty adequately. Another nice feature s the cross burner control that relights an adjacent burner to a lit one, if it blows out. Constant spark electronic ignition would've been a great feature in conjunction with its Flame Thrower technology rather than the single spark idea. But it still works quite well. All in all, a great bbq and one we'll be using for many years to come. You won't be disappointed!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Questions & Answers
Philasked
The centre plate suffers from uneven heating on my Ziggy triple grill, also the flame height hardly varies from lo to high, any ideas or should I junk it and get something else?
1 answer
My triple grill is useless. I wish I would have bought a Weber Family Q. The uneven heating, thermometer fogging, useless roasting dish (stupid piece of engineering) and their (BBQs Galore) poor customer service should be enough for anyone reading this to realise that the Triple Grill from Zeigler and Brown is a waste of money. Buy a Weber.

flexible cake tester skewer, to find a cobweb and a spider had built a home there. Checked again with the Gas on, all good back to normal. I also had a similar problem with the air vent on the Gas line of my Weber Q200. Just something to be aware of as a maintenance procedure. Not knocking Weber as I have two other charcoal Webers which are great, especially the "Smokey Mountain Cooker". Recently bought the "Roasting tray" that fits into the middle section. Better cooking result than sitting the Roast in a "V-rack" on top of the grills with or without pan. Roast pork with great crackling, just follow the instructions. This Ziggi BBQ just gets better and better!
