I was about to use ZIP for the first time, but my account is on hold. I don’t understand why. It’s not because I have any outstanding payments as I haven’t even used it yet!

Simone, take a bit of advice . dont use it . there is a lot of hidden things they dont tell you about,, afterpay may be a bit more dearer with repayments, but 4 payments and you are clear, i am clearing my acc up within a couple weeks and wont be using them any more . you cannot even cl;ose your acc ( they have to do it ).with this mob and if you are not careful it is easy to get into trouble with them,, there are a lot of faults with their web pages,, they will not get back in contact with hardly anyone, i dont think they intend on solving any problems,, all messages are generated,, i have sent an email off to dept of fair trading to see what i can do to get my funds back, zippay needs to either straighten themselves out or be closed down,, totally hopeless they are. spend about 10 minutes and read some of the complaints on here and see what i mean

I got some food using pay with zip i got my food but it still marked as pending how long till the money shows as spent?

i cannot answer that question for you as i only use zip for ebay and online retail stores,, ebay keeps a record on how much you have left to spend on a gift card . but as for any thing else, sorry cannot help there,,
I used menulog but used that one time card my account shows money was used but has it undr as pending.

Zip pay is asking me to pay a difference because of my low credit. How do I calculate that difference and I was under the impression that there were no upfront costs

try contacting them via email and see if they respond. I haven't come across what you are asking me. Is it noted in their terms and conditions? It is up to Zip to calculate the difference...ask for the clause in its terms and conditions stating you have to pay a difference due to your low credit. Unless their terms and conditions have changed there are no upfront costs to my knowledge. Openpay is a good one to use. You do pay %20 of your purchase upfront then you repay the rest of the amount of ex amount of months. It works out better in the end though.

Go to the zip pay app and select your zip option then click available spend balance section that is shown in a box then it shows spent balance and your credit limit so simple
