My MX-6 isn't allowing enough water to flow through the system. When I have just the hose in the pool, the returns are fine. But when I add the robot to the end of the house, the waterfalls trickle down the wall instead of flowing freely. If I open the skimmer any more, it sucks air. If I open the floor drain at all, the robot gets stuck on the drain. Is there a different product that would allow for a greater flow through the cleaner?

I installed my zodiac mx6, but the wheel hardly turns. Can it be that my pump is to weak?

Hello, I just installed the mx6, drain is closed, the yellow wheel does the proper 10 rotations in the 20-25 seconds. When the unit climbs the pool wall the unit goes above the water line and then sucks in air. What can I do to correct this? Sammy Ray Morris

Mine does that too, has since I got it but the higher the water level in my pool the less often it happens.
Hello Brooke, I raised the water level in the pool with the same results. I am at a loss as what to to do. I'm going to give Zodiac a call for some advice. Thanks for responding.

My MX6 spends a lot of time climbing the walls, reaching above the water surface causing air bubbles.
Is there any adjustment I can make to make it spend more time cleaning the pool floor instead?
Thanks
Leon

I had the same issue, after I raised the hose float so that it was only about 1 foot underwater, the cleaner could no longer climb the walls because the hose float took some weight/force of the back wheels and it can no longer propel the cleaner forward after the front wheels have started up the wall. Once the cleaner gets to about a 30-degree angle, the suction pressure is not enough to assist pulling it up to become perpendicular to the wall. I don't really care whether the walls get vacuumed by the cleaner or not because I can use a brush for that. I discovered this quite by accident and thought I would pass it along. I think the problem might have also been fixed by reducing the suction pressure/flow rate, but I did not need to test that theory.

why does my mx 6 always lean back on the two back wheels?

Try adjusting the position of the lead weight on the hose . It may have to be further up the hose.

My MX6 cleaner just stops. There is no debris in the cleaner. I have been told that it could be worn tracks. I would be surprised as the cleaner is only 14 months old. Is this normal?

If there is no debris in the cleaner, then I usually trace through the hose connections, filter basket, pump basket and then the pump filter cartridge. It’s often the pump filter basket.
Thanks for your answer. After pulling off the cover to the paddle mechanism I found a thin piece of fibrous material wrapped around the shaft. Problem fixed .For now!

MX6 continually getting jammed by debris. Driving me mad. My old Kreepy Krauly would run for so much longer without jamming or tipping backwards and getting stuck.

I have a Zodiak MX6. Have had it for almost 2 years. It has done a great job. Now it gets stuck in the deep end. The rotation on the wheels is at a good speed. Sometimes it runs on only the back 2 wheels so it isn't sucking because it isn't level on the bottom of the pool. The wheels on oneside changes rotation frequently. The other side keeps going the same way. Can you let me know what you think is wrong?

I have had a MX6 now for the last three years. Happy with the machine but recently it started tipping over. Don't know if the cold water is making the pipes stiff that it is not bending as well as it should and therefor the pulling exceeds the bend?? Please help. Is there another explanation, perhaps a softer more flexible leader hose??

Love the zodiac cleaners, had a mx8 for 8 years and now an mx6, the problem I have it is now getting stuck on ledges and steps, it seems to always be the side with the yellow tab on wheel, it swivels fine. I’ve lengthened and shortened hose length and also adjusted hose weight, no change, it’s very frustrating, any other ideas would be appreciated, please?
