I'm getting Er:10. I suspect the wires broken between floating cable and cleaner. How can I unplug the floating cable from the cleaner so I can inspect the wires?

It's the controller unit that needs to be replaced. If you unplug the cable and still get the error 10 code it's the controller not the cable

have had a vx 50 for 3 years . it has been doing a good job. now only one side turns . cant find any obstructions and no error no. coming up . is it cactus ? dennis

Mine has just started to do same, only one side working. Three years old and nothing but trouble with tangled cable.

I've had it for 18 months it has been not too bad but the last few weeks I've noticed it doesn't pick up the dirt like it use to, and it basically just blows it out again from the fan, the pool is always very cloudy after it has been through its cycle., is it time for a new micron filter, do they wear out? It picks up leaves with no issues, thanks

Could you let me know how long we should run the zodiac for in an ground concrete pool measuring 22 feet by 11 feet by 4 feet deep (Capacity 27,000 litres)? We have been using the default times of 1 hour 30 minutes for base only and 2 hours 30 minutes for base and walls but these seem to be more than is needed.

I would steer clear of running it for 2 hours 30. The shorter length should be fine. I would also set it to the shorter clean time unless like mine it gets stuck on a step for one third of the cleaning cycle. There is a video from Zodiac on YouTube which says don't put it on wall mode unless necessary. I would suggest this reduces the work-load the motor has to do?

Would like to know if any of the reviewers have jacaranda tree debris in their pool? The long thin brittle stems from, I think that he flower stalks keep the rotating inner wheel on my Hayward cac from working. Would like to know if VX55 would work better without the clogging up.

Not sure about jacarandas but the cleaner works well on gum tree debris including leaves, small bits of twig and gum nuts.

Do you have to use the pool filter as much if you have the zodiac vx50?

Pool filter is still run twice a day in QLD. Cleaner put in and used as required. Not always daily. Depends on weather/wind.

Hi Scott,I still use the filter for the same amount of time, twice daily as our pool is salt water. To be honest having used the cleaner a few times now, I’m kicking myself for not having bought one sooner. Regards Don

I have just purchase the vx-50 and I should of gone for the Vx-55 as it has the remote, can the 50 be upgraded to accept a remote control, the only reason why is that it misses parts of the pool and it's annoying.
Also I haven't done the walls and steps yet as it really struggles and ends up just sitting in the middle afloat

Hi I have a fibre class pool and would like to know what pool cleaner would be best the pool is 8 meters x 3 meters and has a seat up one end?

Mine is 3*10 and it sometimes gets caught on the step.
Also, it doesn't clean the top two steps just turns back down.
I have to brush those steps before I use the cleaner.
I give it 3 stars see my review.

I have this vx20 model and the cord keeps tangling and so it doesn't clean the full length .Is there a way to stop it tangling?

I am now having a similar problem. It goes for about 5 minutes then rolls on it's back. I am contacting zodiac this week regarding the warranty to see if they will fix it or refund me?

Hi, Our current (other company) pool cleaner has died for the multiple time and is now out of warranty so am annoyed we paid a lot of money for a product that only lasts for its warranty. Would this be the same with your products? I don't mind paying for quality but it needs to last more than 3years. (It only got to 3 years by having it in for repair the last entire year each time we wanted to use it.) SO lets say it started getting faults at any stage during the warrenty period, would you replace the unit if the same thing happend again (Lemon Machine in other words)?? Or would you keep repairing until warrenty was up and then say goodbye?

Hi - We have a major gum leaf problem. Is the VX50 going to handle a lot of leaves or will it stop like most other cleaners I have used?

We have a big gum near out pool and the VX50 has no trouble picking them up. You may fill the basket sooner, but I tend to empty it after every use as it's not a good idea to leave the cleaner in the pool.

My Zodiac VX50 has just blown up, water got into the unit and has burned out the motor and wiring. Does Zodiac provide a warranty on such issues? I've had the unit now for around 12 months.
