I brought the one with the longer lead and the remote, ! It's no worth the extra cost, 3k in nz, might sound to much but I am very happy with the easy clean filter system,. better than any others. Don't believe all the hype about it cleaning the walls,, but it's the only way to clean the pool ! It shows in what comes out in the filter

Hi, I have a vx55 that’s about 3 year old. I seem to have the same problem that others have raised. Originally it was very good but now it seems to run backwards when it should be going forwards and it flips on its back and does a pretty useless job cleaning the pool. Just out of warranty so it’s an expensive and frustrating way to keep the pool clean for a couple of years. Anyone else resolved this kind of problem?

I purchased the vx55 4wd 12months ago and the first 12 months worked brilliantly. Now for some reason it doesnt go the full cycle and the error code 4 appears on the control box.
I have washed and cleaned all parts .

I brought a 200 micron filter in addition to the 100 micron filter that came with my Zodiac. I can not tell the difference now they are out of their box. Is there a way of identifying which one is which? Numbers or markings on the filters?

Hi there.
My zodiac 4wd display panel has issues, the screen turns on and then goes blank, I have to switch it on and off from the mains. Sometimes turns back on and when I press start the screen goes blank. Any ideas

My zodiac VX55 pool cleaner is doing 3 things wrong
1. It is losing its way in the pool and doing a poor job by not covering it properly
2. It is rolling over on its back and not returning to the upright position
3. It will not lift itself out of the pool

I had the same 3 problems with my cleaner. It worked great in the first year except it had to be manually removed from the pool. I have a very large pool (90,000 litres) so I had to manually move it to the opposite end to where I placed the cleaner as the pool is very long. It seems this cleaner is only good for 2-3 years, usually when it is just out of the warranty period. I purchased the fine filter as well but the cleaner is only good for picking up dirt but no good for picking up leaves. I now scoop the leaves out manually. I paid about $1,400 3 years ago which is a lot of money for something that will only do the job properly for 2 years.

Hi, I read in one of your reviews about a 100 micron cannister.
Is that supplied with the VX55, or is that an extra cost?
if so, how much please?

The 100 micron cannister is an extra cost and sells from Maple Pools for $79. Please be aware that most of the reviews for the Zodiac VX55 Robotic cleaner are saying that this cleaner is only good for around 3 years and then stops performing. Brilliant in the first year, very good in the second year and not picking up leaves in the third year.

Where can I get a new cable for the VX55 please and how much is one worth, I'm sick of untangling it.

I think I sorted the twisted cable, I suspended a 5 kg kettlebell weight from the cable which keep pressure on the cable over night to stretch it, heaps better now

You can buy a new cable from a Zodiac repairer for around $240

My VX50 with anti tangle power lead still tangles badly ! Can it be adjusted to rotate easier, it seems quite stiff

I suspended a 5 kg kettlebell weight from the cable which kept pressure on the cable over night to stretch it, heaps better now does not tangle as much

Just a quick question
How does it handle algae on the walls?
Does it give it a good scrubbing?
And lastly
Does it navigate ALL areas of the pool?

hay victor i find it navigates the pool real good and does a excellent job. on the algae side of things dont know if it dust or hair, for the dust you well need a 100 micron filter bag. good tip usually when i run my cleaner i run the filter for the pool as the machine will stir up the very fine particals that it cant pick up . hope this helps .

I have the vx55 4wd a bit over two years, it constantly gets stuck at the waterline until it times out or empties and floats away. Can I somehow reset the accelerometers, it also climbs to this position even if I set it to not do it ie. floor only mode? Thanks

I own the VX55 and it has been great, just lately the cord has been getting tangled in the pool, The normal place to deploy the VX55 is the centre of the pool and leave enough cord floating, with remainder run out on the pool side.

I'm on my second attempt of running the cord out and trying to untangle it, leaving it to sit played out for a while.

Any ideas?

Many thanks for the call AAAA++++++ Customer service and advise. 20181201 tried the advise and worked great, 20220127 and it is the same as before still getting tangled.
