I am finding its taking far to long to make ice even when you set it to make fast ice and we are getting a build up of ice stuck to the ice draw floor. Do we have a problem starting to develop ?

Hi Paul,

There could be a couple of reasons for this. Just double-check that there aren't any ice cubes underneath the ice storage box. Remove and inspect and check no ice cubes have fallen over the back and gone underneath it.

If the ice tray has been removed, make sure the ice tray lock lever is in the correct position.

Take a look at the troubleshooting section of the User Manual (Downloads section, bottom of page):

The fridge comes with a soft plastic insert which goes on top of the metal of the ice cube container. If you don't have one a sheet of baking paper helps. The instructions explain that the plastic insert is to be used when making ice cubes

Is there a way to disable the door alarm temporarily while cleaning the interior of the fridge? I mean apart from turning the unit off.I'd rather not turn the fridge off as I want to keep the freezer running.

Seeing that your fridge is so new you should probably enquire with Mitsubishi directly regarding the temperature

If the door fits flush with the adjoining bench (i.e. the fridge is not proud of the bench) can you open the doors sufficiently. Or do the door hinges need to be clear (i.e. about 100) set out from the adjoining bench to allow the doors to open properly so as to access the inside fully and allow the shelves to be taken out etc

Why is this fridge not able to stand up to high humity.
The seals are weak and moisture comes out on the side resulting in the seals going black.
I have had the fridge replaced once for this before bad design

i was wondering if there is a warranty pertaining to the finish on my fridge? It is showing signs of rust and discolouration appearing under the finish, particularly around the edges of the drawers.

The Platinum Light quite a warm tone to it in the showroom. I'm sold on it, but the colour is really throwing me, we can fit the MR-WX627 which comes in Argent Silver, but I've been told it's been discontinued (is this correct?). Was it the lights in the store, or is it a warmer colour?

Hi Nik,

The MR-EX655 does have a warm tone to it. It has been described as slightly champagne. Customers have answered this exact question before here. Take a look at what some people say:

It has been discontinued and retail stocks are starting to run out.

Hi All,

Just got the EX-574-X-N-A multi-drawers. It's been plugged in since 8:30am - but still can't see any ice being made...

I've press the panel and selected rapid ice making - YES - but still nothing...

How long do I need to wait?

Thanks

Hi,

It takes 4 to 5 hours after first starting operation for the refrigerator to cool and 24 hours or more in summer to make ice.

Is the ice making setting for the ice making compartment set to “STOP”? Cancel the "STOP" ice making mode. See Page 17

If the ice making compartment is set to Power Saving Mode, cancel Power Saving Mode. Set to "REG" or "QCK" See page 24 of your manual.

As it has been a few days, you should have ice by now. If not please get in touch with our Technical Support team on 1300 651 808.

MR-EX562W-N-A (562L, Platinum Light)

I am keen on the 574 L model after seeing positive reviews about the model 562 that the 574 has replaced). I have seen the fridge at retailers and like it. The issue is that my current fridge cavity can accomodate the fridge height (1696 + 25 clearance at top) but read that there is an adjustable support cover to be inserted at bottom of the fridge. I am not clear if this increases the overall height of the fridge? Can someone confirm how much height I should be looking at post installation?

Hi Asehagl,

Thank you for your considering our MR-EX574 refrigerator.

The leg cover is just there to cover/hide the legs of the fridge, it doesn't affect the height of the fridge.

Hope this helps!

Hi All,

I'm really keen on getting a new Mitsubishi fridge after reading all the reviews, but just have a couple of
questions for peace of mind:

1. There is a new model - MR-EX574 (to replace EX562) - but how can I tell the difference in the store ?

2. My fridge cavity height is 1775mm - and I was thinking of EX-655 - but the website says 1821mm...
Is there any way to make it shorter to fit it in without problems in the future ? Someone mentioned in
previous posts - that the ice and versa draws can be removed ...does that mean the fridge can be shorter ??

Thanks for your help.

No the draws can be removed for cleaning, not to make the fridge shorter !!

My neighbour bought the bigger fridge thinking she could make it fit. You cant shrink a fridge.

Well unfortunately after 12 months we are as confused as you are, we thought the versa draw was to gently freeze food you wish to use the next day etc.
Plus We are wasting more vegetables in this fridge than in any other fridge over 30 yrs .... why ? we do not know, we have asked Mitsubishi but still no change...sorry I couldn’t be more help.

Kerryn
Kerryn

Hi
I've re read the instructions. So to use super freeze in the versa drawer you need to first run it on soft freeze for at least a couple of hours before you can select the super freeze option. Once the food is frozen it will revert to soft freeze I think. You can't switch it to super freeze when it is in normal freeze mode.

If it was working but now is not working then it might be that the ice is stacked high at the back where the ice height sensor is located. Try opening the drawer and bringing all the ice forward.

Hi
Can anyone comment on the colour "platinum light"? How is is different to stainless steel in colour? On line it looks almost like it has a pink tone. This is my pick of fridge after much research but I am hesitant over the colour and there are none in stock locally for me to look at.
Thanks in advance!

It's no where near the pink that it looks like on line. It's a warmer silver than stainless steal and frankly is very close to stainless. Look at the difference between stainless and selangor pewter.....is has a softer appearance. It doesn't get as marked as the stainless and is easier to wipe clean.

I agree with Joanne — warm silver is a good description. Think champagne or steel lightly bronzed. My other kitchen appliances are steel (oven, dishwasher, etc) and I don't think it stands out as being very different. Colour was my only hesitation before I purchased, too — but I haven't regretted it!

Hi, I have the largest model in mahogany WX743. How long can you keep home cooked food in the. Versa drawer. I have made a chicken curry and it seems mostly frozen (on soft freeze M) but slightly soft on top. Being chicken I'm wary of leaving it too long. The Manual says 1-2 weeks. Has anyone tested this timeframe on home cooked chicken dishes??

Hi Alison....I can't properly respond to your questions just yet, as I am still finding my way through the 'workings' of this so far, wonderful fridge.
I do definitely agree with you in regards to re-using chicken. We need to be very careful indeed.
