Reliable, affordable
I have dualis +2 for almost 6months. Yes it’s absolutely reliable yeah it uses a bit more fuel for its size apart from that every thing is flows like butter with this. Interior is basic but have everything I want. Presently enjoying with what it is.... happy buying dualis +2.

Great people mover
My family bought this car for a few reasons:
* Our family size is five.
* We want something spacious.
* We occasionally need to give someone else a lift.
* I sometimes need to carry big stuff.
After doing some research, we found out that Nissan Dualis +2 was the most economical people mover to run.
The cruise control is OK, although, it occasionally gives you a noisy sound if you try to bring it from a slow speed to a speed you have set.

Continued problems
I bought a second hand Nissan Dualis from a Subaru car dealership.
Both endet up to be a nightmare.
First problems with electrics right after three months. Could not start the car, repeated problems with the battery key. Had to change lights front and back already 3 times in 8 months. Subaru car dealer rejected any liability since warranty period had expired 2 days earlier. No support at all.
Tonight the car left me stranded again, starter and ignition did not work.
Stay away from Nisan Dualis and from the Subaru car dealership.

Perfect car for occasional 7 seat use with young family
I went from a V6 to the duallis and really noticed the difference. The lag in the CVT I find could be very dangerous. You have the a/c on and need to take off, your foot is on the floor and the car is hardly moving. I liked the display, but did find the Bluetooth regulary drops out and the LCD display goes after about 3yrs and cannot be seen in daylight. I loved that 3 carseats fit into the back seat (quite close) however found the middle seat belt (from the rear roof) was hard for young kids to get the handle of. Other than that the interior was poor and the coating peeled after 2yrs. Other than that no issued.

Great reliable and fuss free
Bought a 2013 model TI-L with the 7 seats, because I love having the extra room in the boot which is handy for my job as I often need to take a wheelchair with me. The SAT Navigation has never missed a beat nor got me lost which is more than I can say for Google Maps which has got me lost a few occasions. The sequential gear system has taken a bit to get used to as it is a bit whiny and having changed from a 2.4ltr engine to a 2ltr engine I have noticed the loss of power in taking off but once your moving there is plenty of power even with t...Read more
he air conditioner running. Fuel economy is reasonably good and love that I know how many KM's left before a refill. Easy to park and the all-around cameras makes this even easier still. Cosmetically it is a great looking mid-sized SUV with the black glass roof adding class. Mine is the Pearl White which makes the black glass roof stand out more and the fact that it has the full-length Moon Roof is an added bonus. Fold in mirrors makes it less likely to be hit by other vehicles in the smaller car parks, and automatic wipers and headlights just make life so much easier. If I had to find fault it would be the lack of storage nooks in the front. As a girl whose car is her office most days, I really miss all the nooks for placing items in for easy reach. Overall this is a great car for business and the family and the +2 means there is always room for any extras or just for the added boot space which I find lacking in so many of the mid-sized SUV's these daysSimilar opinion? Nightmare. Regret Bought this car!! Not HAPPY Customer at All
My reasons why I bought a new car; because I don't want any hassles come to me like breakdown in somewhere as I have Children and I work full time. This car is my life, take me to work, drop children to school, shopping and I only have one car which is Nissan Dualis. I expected this car will last LONG BUT the fact IT WON'T. I was wrong, My car just breakdown on Thursday and I can't believe the car already one week still in service. How come new car can breakdown like this. I did regularly service to nissan and still 90.000 km. Sometimes I am th...Read more

Love my Dualis+2
I've had my Nissan Dualis+2 Ti-L since 2012. I absolutely love this car. Nothing has gone wrong with it all. I find the Sat Nav fine and user friendly to use. My kids and I love the moon roof. The kids love lying back and looking out of it. The leather seats are great quality. The car has all the bells and whistles for thousands less than its counterparts. I bought this car brand new and have no intention of selling it. I would highly recommend this car. Three of my friends bought a Dualis each, and they all love them too. The boot space is h...Read more
uge with all the seats down, I have transported cabinets, bikes, and big items. Probably the only negative I could find is the 6th & 7th seat in the third row are pretty ordinary. I have 2 kids & hubby, so the kids only sit in the third row when we have other adults in the car. It is a little squeezey back there. Great, comfortable, extremely reliable. I love it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Bad GPS system car good though
A good car bad the navigation system is very Bad. We brought the top TI-L model with 7 seats. Car interior started to peel on the door handles after 2 years and nissan won't replace it. The navigation system is that bad that we would not consider another nissan car with the same system.

Reliable+safe, Great for city/escape, Frugal 7Seat AWD
Fun to drive the family around in, feels safe in wet
Supportive leather seats, helpful heater in winter
Over 5 years and no major problems
Frugal fuel consumption for 7 seater AWD: 6.3L/100km in urban, 7.2L/100km on hills and highway on premium petrol. The part time rear seats for the +2 are really handy for that extra friend or family member and are reasonably comfortable and well ventilated even for adults. While being no longer than other 5 seater SUVs it's easy to park, the extra length of the +2 with flat folded down rear seats makes it...Read more

Very bad interior, poor after sales service
Bought a nissan dualis+2 from mcgraths liverpool before 4 years. I was promised 2012 model but was given 2011 model. cant do anything as they make you sign paperwork before you take the delivery of the vehicle. Let's talk about nissan dualis +2. The last two seats are useless. my 8yr old cant sit in it. At the end of 2 years, the boot door starts to rattle. fixed by service guys. Brake pads due in 20k kms, tyres in 30k kms......capped price servicing is a joke.....they charge $390 to $490 for capped price service. The vinyls in the interior sta...Read more
rted peeling off in 3 yrs. great Continuous Variable Transmission, but that's it. Depreciation costs too high, noisy engine after 2 years, engine drags a lot when AC is turned ON.....cant give them more than 2 stars (and that is for CVT). Thank God it is discontinued now. I would definitely THINK TWICE before buying NISSAN brandSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Top car, never missed a beat
Had this car from new since 2012 and recently sold it. Did over 50,000km and nothing ever went wrong with it. Now discontinued but still a great choice for second hand car buyers. Economical with a 5 star safety rating with every feature available on cars costing twice the price. Has very nice ambience with the full panoramic glass sunroof. The only reason why it did not get a perfect rating was that the CVT gearbox can be a little noisy however despite this I never had a problem with it. Perfect with two adults and small kids.
Buy with confidence, this is a very reliable car which still looks fresh especially the last of the series which I had in the TiL variety. Will miss this car. Well done Nissan!

I love this car!
We purchased the +2 T-iL model and have been very happy. Boot space is large and can fit a pram and shopping, leather seats with front two heated, sun roof etc. Good fuel economy. My husband does say that it's not as roomy as he would like (he's 6ft tall) and I've heard this from others too. The 6th and 7th seats in the back are only good for small children as they aren't elevated and so hardly any leg room, but we bought the +2 for the boot space not the seats.

We agree
The car cruises well, although a little under powered in some conditions ... Fuel economy seems fairly reasonable, but as said earlier the Radio tuning seems to be very unpredictable & the ops manual must have been translated from another language .... Not at all helpful !! (Google translator probably would have done a better job)

radio crackling
I have 2year old Nissan Dualis +2.
The radio has crackling & whooshing noises on the am stations. This occurs when turning, going around round abouts & particularly when reversing.
Not only is it frustrating but I find it distracting when driving therefore compromising my safety and that of my passengers.

Gears slipping while towing a boat
Loved the dualis +2 for the 4 years we've had it. Very smooth to drive. I find it a little difficult to paralel park. Cant see well with rear view window. My girls found it quite hot in the back with no air conditioning back there. But lately we bought an aluminum boat and the cars gears are slipping badly. My husband was driving and had to constantly change it into manual to make it keep going. It was a huge disapointment. We will be selling it soon.

Underpowered and flimsy
Bought new in 2011.Top of the range +2.Lots of car for the money except in the important area of 'go'. Heavy car and small engine mean poor fuel economy- we'd get 15-18l/100km in city driving. Stereo and bluetooth pretty ordinary.Door trim would catch on our (raised) gutters and unclip.Rear hatch handle broke twice- very flimsy.Non warranty : plastic bit cost $280 plus $100 to paint.I fitted it myself, but otherwise another $100 or so.
On the plus side, it handles OK, moon roof looked good when clean (!) and it was cheap.
Not recommended. We traded it for a CX5. Not an issue.

What's with the radio
Bought a near new Ti L just recently with the worst radio we have had in any car since the 1970's. It's scratchy and tinny around the city and will not receive the lower band FM station. In the country it's hopeless, even with ABC regional broadcasts. Can anybody offer advice. John

good small family car
the Dualis+2 AWD Ti-L so far suits our family's needs...we all know the engine is not the responsive compare to other cars and we have no problem with that since this will function as a family car mostly. The 2 seats at the third row fits nicely for kids..or if you have some occasional visitors to accommodate... the SAT nav is a bit old...i think its better to have your own sat nav compare to updating the Nissan sat nav. Overall..if you like a compact crossover SUV that can fit 2 kids occasionally at the third row....this fits the bill =)

3yrs with our dualis+2 Ti AWD
3 yrs going strong, pleasure to drive, feels safe and is safe, clever AWD grabs slippery roads and dusty fire trails very nicely, glad to have replaced our 12L/100km V6 sedan with this suv. Have really appreciated the 7 seat capability and extra versatility for ikea transport and even camping-sleeping with a double airbed in the back with seats folded down; even though the dualis+2 is only 20cm longer than the std dualis, and identical in length to most other 5 seater 2L suvs and hatchbacks. The dualis+2 seems to be the most parkable and fuel e...Read more
fficient 7 seater we've come across to date, well suited for narrow inner city use but still suitably capable for escapes to the country & coast. Now have no doubt that lack of familiarity with the nissan dualis' cvt is leading people to a perception of lack of power and also leading to higher fuel consumption than necessary. Having had a close look, the british build quality appears better than the korean kia sportage but doesn't seem quite as polished as subuaru xv's japanese interior finish, but the better value spare parts and local nissan servicing seems a lot more sensible/cost effective than subaru's. The noise suppression levels for subaru xv are best, while dualis and sportage are similar to each-other. The long-term (incl for 2nd hand vehicle assessment) functional build quality coming from uk nissan's plant & renault's dualis chassis has been independently rated as high if not higher than most other european vehicle builds (vw/bmw/volvo/ford/audi/porsche) from same era. Compared to the subaru XV and kia sportage, even with sunroofs, the nissan dualis+2 Ti feels far less claustrophobic, partly due to the panoramic roof, but also the higher seating position, especially for both rear rows, which are each tiered, as in a stadium. This makes trips pleasant, even for those in the compact back row. Aircon achieves good lamellar flow to the 3rd row of seats. The practical sliding middle row seats accommodates quite well for leg room for those in the rear and there is sufficient ceiling clearance in the 3rd row for most adults. My folks have an equivalent year release subaru XV which also has a cvt and 2.0L engine but geared for far more sensitivity. Both driven in inner city region on premium fuel, XV sits on 9.5-10L/100km consumption (though spec'd for 7L/100km) while our dualis+2 on premium fuel consistently sits on 7.1-7.5L/100km. On a drive through to the great australian bite in the dualis+2 from sydney with 4 adults + luggage, my father found the transmission very different to the XV's initially, but once used to it, and the accelerator pedal's "rest point" (not mentioned in the manual) said it had very good pull. The city consumption level in the 7s would creep up to 8.5 on hilly freeways with the full load and overtaking on steep straights. At no stage did feel we needed any more power than could be offered from the naturally aspirated 2L petrol. Overtaking in right lane with full load on inclined freeway the revs would comfortably reach 5800 but could still give more. For context, both I and my father have previously owned v6 sedans where we would rev up to 5000 in similar overtaking conditions. Owing to the cvt being tuned for economy and longevity, the dualis+2 AWD Ti doesn't initially feel as zippy as the XV, but it certainly has more than enough pull to get it around smartly and safely in the city or for escaping from the city.Similar opinion?
