Carbonator II Matte BlackThe unit is stylish and looks nice on the bench - but it's a very ordinary and expensive carbonator. The bubbles don't last and it doesn't carbonate much past a poor bubble - flat in 5 minutes. Cylinders last half the time of the major competition soda maker.

Looks fabulous. Works well. Gasket change is IMPOSSIBLE!!!
Carbonator II Stainless SteelLove love love the look of this on my bench. (Would have given a 5 star review if not for the gasket.)Easy to keep clean and shiny with a wipe over every now and then. Carbonates well. Easy to use. Easy to insert the gas cylinder. I am a frequent user, atleast 2L per day. I am 18months in and have just had to change the gasket. AAAghhh. horrible experience. There were no youtube videos on how to do it for a reason - it was impossible. So difficult to get the gasket out. Aarke suggests tweezers - um….no. Managed to get a long sewing needle under the gasket then slowly edge it out. Really a serious flaw in this machine!!

Carbonator II Matte BlackThe machine looks great which is important since it sits out on the counter all the time. A massive let down though is both my bottles have broken bottoms which didn’t take long to happen and now one has the lid coming apart. I commend the nice design and looks but what is a soda machine without bottles. One last thing to mention is the bottles are around 30$ each. For such an upper end appliance I would have expected stainless ones available or as an option.

Worked great until it broke after only 3 years of normal use - and Aarke won't do anything to fix it
Carbonator II Stainless SteelI was really enamoured with the style and function of this device in the first couple of years we had it. It worked well, we used it pretty much daily and I probably would have given it 5 stars at that time.
About a month ago, it completely stopped working. I contacted Aarke and they said they don't offer repairs or refunds / replacements outside of their 2-year warrantee. I have friends who have used their SodaStreams for over a decade without any issues, and I think a product that markets itself as premium and costs nearly $300 shouldn't be sent to the tip after only 3 years of normal wear and tear.

Does the job and looks better than soda streams
Carbonator II Matte BlackI got the Aarke carbonator as a christmas gift from my parents to replace my old blue soda stream (which they had given me for Christmas about 5 years ago!). I had recently had my kitchen renovated and the blue soda stream didn't really match any more and was bulk on limited bench space. Happy with the Aarke - I haven't noticed a big difference and for me, it does pretty much the same job as the soda stream but looks better on benchtop. I have replaced the gas cartridge about 6 times now and have had no issues at all. Overall happy with the product and would happily repurchase.
Cheap plastic parts
Carbonator IIPurchased AARKE CARBONATOR lasted two months . Cheap plastic part inside broke where handle attaches inside . Cheap plastic at a premium price . What a disappointment. More crap from China made as cheaply as possible

Dangerous product
Carbonator II Stainless SteelWe purchased this product with the expectation of quality as well as stylish design.
When placing a new canister into the unit and depressing the lever the gas continued to build up and not stop until the bottle was violently ejected from the stand. This caused all the gas in the bottle to be wasted, the bottle was damaged, the stainless steel drip plate was bent and I sustained an injury.
I have reported the issue to Aarke who have as yet not given me any personal response except a computer generated response .
Very very dissappointed

Something we’re proud to leave on our bench top. It works perfectly every time. We’ve given it as a gift and recommended it to people. Once they see how stylish it is, their off to buy one. AMAZING customer service and Product
Carbonator II Matte BlackAbsolutely impressed with how they dealt with my enquiry about my carbonator having stopped working for some reason and they got back to me straight away offering me a replacement for it, which I of course accepted! The delivery of the new item took a bit long but was understandable due to the whole COVID thing happening. So yes, this guys are awesome and their product is amazing!

Carbonator II Stainless SteelI was very impressed to see and feel the build quality of the aarke. It is very well built and solid, no wobble on the countertop, even when gassing up.
It comes with a carbonated water bottle, I 'd recommend buying a second separately. The carbonation process is much more effective on cold water so keep one in the fridge and carbonate it when required, that way you can always have two on the go as one will run out too quickly.

Carbonator II CopperMy hubby bought the copper AARKE II for my birthday. I always used Sodastream and loved them. I liked the look of this one and was happy to forego the sodastream.
Ive probably used the AARKE II 5-6 times in the last 2 weeks.
Tonight it stopped working. I pulled the arm and there was no noise, gas or anything happening.
I’m so annoyed!
It’s going back tomorrow!

Carbonator II Stainless SteelI purchased my aarke carbonator in late 2018 and have been very satisfied, using it practically every day since then. It not only looks fantastic but performs very well. More impressive, however, is their customer support. In May 2020 I encountered a problem with my unit - it seemed as though the gas was leaking from the neck of the unit. Following just one email to their support team with a video of the problem they immediately offered to send me a replacement unit which arrived promptly from their wholesale distributor. Machine Looks Great and Works Well!
Carbonator II Stainless SteelHad a Sodastream and it worked well, but I loved the look of the Aarke and my partner bought me one for my birthday. You have to make sure you use it properly or you can waste a lot of gas. I'm currently counting how many bottles I get out of a 60L gas cylinder to see if the numbers stack up - even if it's close, I will be happy, as it's a lot less plastic and it's easy to do at home. (Normally buy soda water for $0.75 for 1.25L at Coles or Woolworths.

Carbonator II BrassWe were demonstrated this at Harvey Norman Holmesglen by Michelle - Immediately it was a wrap ! Once at home it was easy to unpack and use ie ., all that was needed was to insert the gas bottle and fill the bottle with fresh tap water and then press down on the lever ! With this unit you can charge the bottle with as much co2 as you like ie., for extra fizz ! It is expensive- the gas bottle is not included and you really have to purchase extra bottles for the water ( once filled keep them in the ‘fridge as water will absorb co2 - more readily if cold ) But no more store bought
soda water in plastic bottles ! Also bought various flavoured cordials to add to your glass from Woolworths ! Um fantastic for a whiskey and soda !

Should I buy a carbonator?
