Liked the original Load and Go Better
I brought the card as I had the original one and never had any issues with it, used the original to buy at Coles and Woolies not a problem. I got the card originally for online shopping at Amazon. The $20 reload was convenient especially when cash flow was stunted, now with the $50 minimum I don't reload as often as I have restricted funds. Of the two cards I much prefer the original.

Funds not showing up
I transferred $50 to my Go MasterCard from my own debit card and it says that there was an error. But my money has been deducted and the MasterCard balance stayed the same as before. What do I do?

$80 in one hit of a button!! Absolute CRAP card!!!!
Rude customer service, no help, no respect & absolutely no help for a new user. I rung at least 6-7 times, spent over 3 hours on the phone trying to sort out verification. Then was told a remedy etc for a non payment & got charged over $80 in the touch of a button. My mistake I know but the whole card etc is basically sh#t/not user friendly & their customer service & accounts are absolutely rude & shocking with their attitudes & your definitely 150% tested like a number!!! Don't get this card!
We had a load and go for years and only had very infrequent and minor problems. This new card was painful to register, difficult to find help information on and worst of all, doesn't work many places. Couldn't even use it some places via pay pal. I plan to use it to pay bills at the post office until it is empty as I expect that is the most likely way to get it to work, then cutting it up!

worst pre paid card ever
My 1st, 2nd and 3rd transaction attempts said it was fraudulent/suspicious. Dozens of reviews say the same thing. Overly complicated setup. Worst pre paid card to date and a near useless app. DO NOT BUY!! Try the 7-11 “Just Go” travel visa, it works way better.

Don't bother. Doesn't work with some vendors. Can't access my own money.
My card/account was suspended due to fraudulent/suspicious activity. Was told I would have to get another card (even after I told them I'm not interested in getting another one) or pay $10 to get MY money transferred to a bank account (which could take up to a week). If anyone knows an ombudsman I could contact please let me know.

Problem is the card - not the vendors
I previously had the Load and Go card and there were no problems. This Everyday Mastercard will generally not accept credit card payments unless using Paypal option, yet I can't even guarantee this. Otherwise, it is very rare that other sites accept payment by this card. Convenience and security is why people use these cards - this card does not fit the purpose for which is was purchased meaning that a refund of the card and any loaded funds must be provided if sought.
I rang Mastercard and gave all my details and explained the situation. T...Read more

I wanted to use the card as a secure way of paying for anything purchased online. There is no need to give ones name and this card is not linked to any of my accounts . But the card is Mostly not accepted when I attempt to buy something online in Australia or USA. Also takes at least 3 to 4 days for money to be available once transferred from another account .

For my purposes I found it to be a poor replacement for the previous Load&Go Visa card.
My experiences with this card have been varied, but generally poor. .. It is not a good replacement for the Load&Go VISA card that Australia Post previously sold.
- Was not accepted at AliExpress online website (China)
- Was not accepted at other overseas online purchasing outlets (Europe, Scotland etc.).
- It appears that it can work if you register for Masterpay by Mastercard and select Masterpay upon checkout,... however such sites are few and far between, and many online sites do not support Masterpay specifically.
Beware of fees if recharging from another debit card AUD5.00, although Australia Post Website incorrectly stated as free until mid December 2022 (even though PDS disclosed fees correctly).

Happy with Au Post Everyday Mastercard.
I used my card in the USA, Canada, online and general shopping ( great for budgeting ) and despite my trepidation it worked! My only complaint is that I cant change my pin number on line in App. I haven't rung customer service yet so can make no comment. I found the setting up of the card a little frustrating and somewhat time consuming however App works and I can check balance so all and all card is doing all that I wanted it to do. I do Bpay transfer and it takes 2 to 3 business days to be in account, Au Post sends me email once funds delivered i haven't tried any other ways of transfer. Thanks Australia Post.

Wont be getting one
I have had a Load and Go VISA for about 5 years. It suits me to use this for app purchases, and paying the odd bill. With this card being retired I have to get a new mastercard, but apparently it cant be used on Apple Pay so I cant make any in app purchases. I like to play a few games and used the L&G to buy in app purchases no problem. Top up was easy and never had an issue with it. Reading all the negative reviews online, not only on this website, I wont be getting one. Ill get a debit card from my bank. Bye AP. Why kill a perfectly good product?

Will never trust Auspost again this product is horrible, DO NOT PURCHASE!!!
- Loading time on reload page is horrendous
- Cannot transfer to external cards
- Atm + Auspost fee upon cash withdrawal.
- $10 cash out fee to a bank account transfer
Bought it a week ago, will be cutting up once I take my money out.

Terrible product and terrible service!
How can you go from having the best card on the market (Load and Go) to the worst in such a short amount of time? Card constantly placed on hold for valid transactions. Literally every second transaction. Customer Service (if you can call them that) go through security questions multiple times only for them to hang up on you and you have to go through the process again. Don't waste your time on this card.

Don't bother buying it
I first had a load and go card and it was fantastic, so when they cancelled those you basically had to get one of the mastercards if you wanted to do the same thing. At first its fine, untill you want to purchase something online, you have to put in the same address you gave when signing up. Which is the house address, for lots of places its not feasable or safe to do this, things get stolen if your not home and items get left at the house. Its utter crap! I tried buying and sending a present to someone as a suprise, nope, its the wrong address...Read more
, so it doesn't allow the transaction. You can't change the address for the card and they dont allow a po box to start with. If you have any questions or problems you need to call the special number and go through however many people to get a simple answer. Because no one at a post office has enough 'information'. Its appaling that if I try to order something most of the time it doesn't work. It also doesn't like pairing up to other paying services. When loading money, its easier to go instore and to do it with cash, but they ask for your id every time!. If you transfer money online you have to fill out a form and transfer the exact amount you stated otherwise their system can't handle it. Its a pain to check the balance as there isn't an easy access to the login page, and it never lets me in with the first login try, even if its correct, I always have to login 2 or 3 times before I actually get into my account. I have also been misinformed in my account with how much balance I had, once it seemed I had $60in my account. There was nothing showing as a pending payment, but when I went to ourchase something in store, I couldn't apparently I onky had $20 or something. It was like they showed the purchase without deducting the money. Giving me a false amount of balance. I would not reccomend anyone purchasing this unless its for tap and go.1 comment

Time and money WASTED!!!!!!!
I wish they would bring back the load and go card. I have never had so much trouble checking something as simple as the balance. When tried the website when I could find it my mother's maiden name and my password were back to front. The only way I found this out was calling customer service who told me. The people at the post office aren't able to access the information to change it. They can't even tell you what the balance is either. The load and go card was so much easier. What a waste of time and money. Get your act together Australia Post.

Bring Back Load and Go
I liked my load and go card and used it a lot, easily transferring funds from my bank account. This one has a very temperamental website - I have to reset my password every time I use it - but worst of all the transfer of funds via bpay is a fiddly two step process and takes THREE days to appear in the account - ridiculous in this day and age and pretty useless for a card of convenience.

Quite limiting
I used to use the load and go cards as I wanted to control purchases on things like dating apps (to help eliminate auto subscription and or scammers). These were convenient as it gave separation between this and my standard personal credit card with a much higher limit. Load & Go cards aren't available anymore so had to get this Auspost everyday M/Card. Problem is you can't subscribe at all to dating apps with this card. So now need to find another card.

on it.. but isn't actually able to do anything about fixing a problem.. that is handed off to a third party, who so far have proved incapable of rectifying anything. Having a call centre that can actually converse in an intelligable version of English would probably be a great start. I have gone through both entry methods, where to reset a password requires the entry of a whole card number, and also the system that requires on a partial card number entry..neither work..I sit waiting for a interim password to arrive, as per the process to reset my unrecognized ( but correct ) one.. but nothing arrives.. I am able to receive emails from everybody else.. so right or wrong I assume that there is a fault with the call centre mail transmission, as they are the only ones that dont arrive.. Because of the low amount of credit on my card I will probably just tear up the card and mark it down to experience.. but I hope Aus Post isnt expecting any future business from me, because based on performance they suck.I will approach my bank for a debit card, as they seem to have a working system, rather than a cobbled together hotch potch that Heritage Bank provide.Similar opinion? Hi,
I have been using the Australia Post Load&Go Reloadable Visa Prepaid for over five years and it has been perfect for my needs.
I now understand that it is being discontinued and I will need to replace it with the Mastercard. I have been checking out the reviews and the complaint from most users is the same: The Visa Load&Go was great but this Mastercard replacement is terrible.
So, how it is possible for something that worked so well and had happy customers to be now replaced with something that is not good and is causing so many problems? If it ain't broke ........
Why is the Australia Post Visa Prepaid being discontinued?
I would appreciate a real answer. Please do not give me the some standard marketing spiel. I am now trying to search a replacement and the reviews of the Mastercard are worrying.

Priscilla, Thanks for your response. I do not envy you your role on this site.
Has Australia Post any interest in the feedback that has been offered by customers here? If they took it on board, they would realise that they have traded a good business option for one that is a dud.
As stated in my original post, the Load & Go has been perfect for the reason why I use a pre-paid card.
My Load & Go card expires in March and unless Australia Post decides to bring back the same card in the next two months (and with it all the previous customers), I will have to check elsewhere for a replacement. I don't need any other benefits to a pre-paid card. I have my regular credit card for that.
