Great for Travelling/Everyday
We opened an ING account when travelling in Europe last year. We did this on the advice of two family members. The card was so much better than a travel card we had purchased before opening the account. The rebates for the exchange rate or using a different teller machine were refunded within a day or two. We are extremely happy with ING for our everyday use and savings accounts. On the downside, unfortunately, we have had our savings interest reduced about three times in less than a year.

TRAVEL CARD - HEAVEN
Through endless research 7 days before my partner and I left for a trip to Asia for 16 days, I was in a hard situation. I didn't necessarily want to risk taking a lot of cash with us and my partner felt the same. I looked at all the majors and some of the smaller ones to compare rates and how they charge. It's obvious before researching that you're never going to create a win/win situation but my experience with ING has been very good. I live in the Wollongong, I ordered the card 5 days before we left. It arrived, I did what I was informed to ...Read more
do to get my atm/transactions fees refunded and I honestly never ran into any problems. It was accepted everywhere that accepted cards and it refunded all my fees. I did have a dodgy transaction take place but I'm in Thailand. No big surprise.. All in all, I didn't feel ripped off and it was easy to deposit additional funds. I recommend these guys for travel cards. If you don't believe me, do the research on rates and charges from other majors.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Financial Freedom
I along with my family made the change from the BIG banks to ING 3 years ago. at first I was concerned about not being able to deposit cash directly into the account via a traditional teller. I was relieved wen I found that any Aus post branch can do this AND it is easy!!

The best bank in Australia
I have been with ING for many many years for banking and they have ALWAYS been absolutely fantastic to deal with. There are a few things that they can’t do (overseas transfers) but it honestly doesn’t matter because they make up for in how amazing they are at everything else.

Amazing Card for Traveling With.
We have just traveled for 9 weeks using our ING card. Fantastic! No ATM fees or international transaction fees. The fees were charged but immediately credited to our account. We saved $250 in fees. The transaction requirements to qualify are simple and are easy to fulfill. Thank you ING.

Great card for travelling
No fees on withdrawals anywhere, including overseas (as long as you meet a few small transaction requirements). Saved me a few hundred dollars while I was on holiday. Apple pay compatible as well.

Great everyday account
We stumbled onto ING with our home loan 14 years ago but it was fabulous (as fabulous as a home loan can be) and the Orange Everyday account and debit card work well. No fees for the account OR at the ATM here or overseas. And you can use any bank, servo, mobile ATM, no fees. And if you make 5 purchases per month; transfer $1000 into that account per month (which you can then withdraw when ever you like - doesn't have to stay in there) and have it linked to their Saving Maximiser you get a boost on the interest rate of that account. My 15 year ...Read more
old signed up for one to take to Canada and it worked well for her too. Having linked to the Savings Maximiser means she can transfer money to this account and if she looses her card it cannot be accessed, but can easily transfer to Orange Everyday to withdraw. Have found the online and mobile banking easy to use and customer service people on the phone have always been helpful. Highly recommend.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Best card ever!!
I've used it in Europe last year and have used it in Bali 3 times now. Easy to withdraw money in Rome and Bali, no fees from ATM, no annual fees and no international fees at all. You can notify them of your travels dates on the online app, from a month before you leave. Great communication via email and phone calls by staff. Best card for overseas travel for sure! When a family friend, who works at CBa banks and says the Ing card is the best!!, you know you're a winner here. Only need to qualify with a $1000 dep into the account and make 5 tra...Read more

Best interest rates, Awesome customer care service!
They have the best current account in Australia! Make your salary go in the account, make your 5 pay waves, and you get awesome interest rates, and the best is, cash back on the exchange rate fees while traveling abroad! This was the best part since I travel a lot abroad! Very convinient and simply easy.
I once got stuck in Malaysia, and couldnt withdraw money, called them up with the free international toll free number, verified my account online, and bam, 8 was stupid enough to out the wrong details on the atm machine when I was trying to withdraw money! It was easy and super convinient! Recommend anyone who travels and wants best interest rates and exchange rates.!

Do Not Like ING Orange Account
Before you can transfer your over $1000 straight to the Maximiser Account to earn top interest but now for more than a year now they have made people wait 2 to 3 days to get the top interest where by Maximiser account holders have to open an extra account called the Orange Account to put money in that account first from another bank then it takes a day to get into the Orange account if you did it by 3 PM then if you do not have internet on your mobile phone you have to wait till you get home from work or an outing and transfer the money from yo...Read more
ur Orange to your Maximiser account on your desk top computer and if your busy you loose out an extra day so you could loose 2 to 4 days top interest. Its a Dubious Ordeal ING puts their account holders through and I asked them sometime a year ago why you have to do it that way and ING said we like people to spend money at the shop which is totally false because they just want to make more interest on your money by leaving it an extra 3 to 4 days in the Orange account because I used to use my other banks saving account to buy my groceries and I do not know why the Bank Royal Commission did not outlaw this long dubious transaction system and also Bank of Queensland does the same so please everybody make a written complaint to your lovely bank.Similar opinion? How every bank account should be
I’ve had an Orange Everyday Bank account for several years now and love it. There’s no fees, the app is great, uses OSKA when transferring between family and friends and they also use Apple Pay. So worth putting your salary in it.

I’ be never felt passionate about a banking service till now!
I have two accounts with ING. I think they are fabulous on all fronts- Saving Maximiser rates, customer service, immediate access to an actual person when ringing them, free and unlimited access to ATMs and refunds if overseas transaction fees.
May you stay around forever - I have never had this quality from any other bank I have used in my 64 years - other than a female manager of a St George in the days when banks had managers.
Well done ING- keep on doing what you do so well

They Make you Cry
After three years of holding ING account, I switched to other Aussie banks. If you ever get into trouble wiht your money in ING, you will experience a very difficult time. Only bank with them if you don't need customer service from your bank.

Excellent bank account!
Fee free ATM transactions are what got me to join ING Direct. I like how everything is online and I don't have to deal with branches and phone staff. Never had any issues accessing my accounts. Because I was referred by another customer, I receive a gift card when I joined which was a nice bonus.

Customer for many years. Beats the others hands down for simple clear banking
ING Orange Everyday Debit Card. Easy to use, No limiting ATM access as ING re-reimburses the card holder if the ATM has a charge fee. (Still exists with RediTeller and other privately owned ATM's in Hotel's etc.

Easy to use, customer service no hassle
Opening account is easy online, unlike some banks that ask u to go to post office to verify ID. I called their customer service a few time, pretty much every time they are quick to answer my concerns professionally. Didn’t wait for to long to get the speak with them .
Again, love their interest rates, no overseas transaction fee is s big bonus as I online shop sometimes.

WARNING - Orange Card for OSeas Travel
I signed up lured by the promise of fee free issues overseas. One warning they DONT explain anywhere. And its fatal to some overseas use. It will result in the account AND card being suspended.
The ING Orange card comes with a security feature that REQUIRES a SMS code to your AUSTRALIAN MOBILE number. It must be entered within 60seconds or the transaction is VOID. Purchases at machines or over the counter are fine. But for online bookings like hotels, transport fares (like railways, flights etc) and other online purchases its a concern. And ...Read more
it cant be disabled. So while they brag about the fee free issues it can leave you with an ability to use the card while travelling. Not smart. Glad I found out before I went so I can now close the account and plan a better solution.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
