How do you fix a Kogan 42 with an upside down image?
My Kogan 42" Agora Smart 3D LED TV (Full HD) [KALED423DSMTZB] Isn't turning on, it gets to the Smart TV loading screen, sits on that screen for about 15-20 seconds then reboots and does the same same over and over, I have downloaded the firmware to attempt to rectify this however I get the the blue searching for usb storage screen after pressing Vol + after power on, however it continues to say "No USB device detected" I have tried multiple different usbs, reformatted them several times to Fat32\exFat, I have even tried formatting them to NTFS with the same result.
What can I Do? Is there a way to do a firmware upgrade via a network cable or wifi connection?

Fat32 is the correct format for a USB-loaded firmware update, can you make sure you're using USB port 1? The program runs on USB 2.0, so it's better to try such a device as not all USB 3.0 devices will be fully backwards compatible.

If the image is upside down following the update, it is possible that you have applied the incorrect firmware on your TV.

Hi Can you help as I've just downloaded Netflix and iView apps. I am able to choose the show I want, but then the screen goes black and doesn't allow the streaming videos to play. Is there a way of fixing this, or is there another app I need to install in order to get it working? Thanks.
There are many problems with smart TV's. Kogan technical support will be able to help, in some cases. In other situations its a waste of time. These TV's may have limited ability to do what is required as a smart TV. I wish you well in your decisions... NetFlix and Iview should just work. Re NetFlix, I hate paying for movies I dont own so dont have anything to do with them.
This is a question for Kogan's "chat now", but I will tell you that apps for Iview, ABC do not work. You can upload them select the program but it will not run. Kogan say this is because ABC is using old technology and are updating, luckily. I say Kogan's TV is not suitable for Australian conditions. Make your own decision here. I have just got Kogan it send me a splitter, Bluetooth something or other to make our TV do what it is supposed to. Free of course!!

I have just received my kogan 42" agora tv. A message has come up that the launcher has stopped working. Can't access anything. Prior to that I have also had the same problem as others with the screen going blank after a minute as the tv.

I just got mt 423D, from the start UI am getting channels going to black, very annoying, I only bought this to watch Dakar in big screen, and SBS is one channel that wont stay on :( No phone number for warranty :(

Mine was blanking on all channels regardless. You would see on the right hand side a notification that the TV is downloading EPG then it would go blank. Once I turned off the internet wifi in the agora settings, it has not blanked at all so I assume from this that the EPG is retrieved via the internet. Once the wifi was off no EPG If your problem is only some channels it is reception problem. They will tell you buy new antenna cables and try again. Either way check the signal strength and quality, if they are good to excellent you shouldn't have problem so email their support and tell them the problem and explain or call 1300 304 292
Well, there is nothing wrong with my reception, thats for sure, I would not have bothered them without checking that first. It is only a few different chans and they change. I have since been in contact with customer support, they supplied me with incorrect information and advice that did not fix the problem. Even the download of firmware failed to do anything, using the advice as supplied by Kogan support.
They advised me to send it back!!! As it was now going to be sent back, I decided to do a manual software upgrade, using the menu system,(they never bothered to advise me to do this?) this fixed all the issues. I advised Kogan of the issues with their instructions and told them to add a thumb drive and CORRECT usage instructions to each new TV sent out, to save everyone money or effort, no response from them!
