Solid and durable brand
The Antler Aires are allowed on pretty much all airlines as carry on luggage and are nice and light so that they do not take up to much of your weight. Mine has been used for 3 years and over 20 flights so far. They are still in good condition despite some dust which can easily be wiped off.

After a 6 month overland trip with this bag from Australia to the UK, I'd buy it again if I needed
This bag was strapped on the top of a bus in dusty Siberia, it was drenched by a long heavy downpour, dragged (2 wheels) over kilometres of cobblestones, rolled (4 wheels) over all sorts of uneven surfaces, hoisted onto big and small boats, carried by a variety of planes and lifted onto numerous trains. It got a good workout.

m and things got damp inside. I was totally drenched too. But having it out in a light shower for 15 or 20 minutes should be fine. It's also not quite a strong as a heavy hard case. So there was a little tear underneath, but it's very small and no problem. On the positive side, as someone who used to have, and still has hard cases, this is wonderfully light for the size. I got the 81cm model, in dark blue. I didn't trust the weight rating in the shops, so I took my own scales. This suitcase was the lightest I could find while not being flimsy. Also on the positive side is how easy it is to pack compared to the hard cases which have the opening along the middle of the case. To my mind, these positives far outweigh the negatives.

It depends which one suits you better. Hard luggage is better if you need to put in stuff that requires protection e.g. laptop. However hard luggage will be heavier than soft one.
