I have a progress saver account, if I deposit some money on the last day of the month before the interest was paid, does that count for the month? So the interest I get is higher since I deposited more this month. Also the interest is paid on the last day of of the month, at about what time during the day ? If the interest was already paid on the 31st and I deposited some money after the interest was paid, will this count towards the next month? When I deposit money into the progress saver, can I deposit them any day of the month? Or it has to be on the 1st of each month in order to earn interest ? If I need to withdraw and don’t want to lose interest for this month, do I do that on the 1st? Say now is 1st of April, I withdrew some money now, I will still get interest for April?

Hello
I opened an ANZ progress saver on the 15th Jan 2020 with an opening balance on $100. Since then i have deposited the required $10 minimum per month to earn the bonus interest. On 31 Jan & 28 Feb I have only earned a grand total of $0.20 in bonus credit. Is this normal?
I also opened an online saver at the same time and have already earned over $30 in bonus credit.
Does the progress saver calculate and pay the same?

There are no safe days in the month to withdraw (ha, ha LOL). A withdrawal from an ANZ Progress Saver account will forfeit the bonus interest for that month.

I'm 16. I have three progress saver accounts as well as my access advantage account. One is set up as my emergency funds, so i have $1000 that I don't ever touch or collect interest or anything it just sits there. Then I have a second account to purely collect interest on, i put like $50 a month in that. The third is for my saving where i put whatever i can spare into it, i use to just keep that money in my access advantage account but i find i spend less money this way. My problem is for some reason i cant take money out of that account (My 'savings') I can put money into it easily and take money from another one if i wanted to but not that one. Even though I set all 3 up the same way

I just want to understand this Progress Saver, say I have $5000 and I put the agreed $10 per month into the account, and I get the interest for each month and I do not touch it for withdrawal for maybe 12 months -- or more -- so that means the Bank gets the biggest reward as I miss out on that month -- and it would be the one with the biggest amount in it?

Interested to hear the info, please

You lose the interest for that month. You should establish another progress saver account and transfer the remaining balance to this new account so you can earn interest on the remaining balance for the rest of the month. If you do not transfer to another progress saver you earn zero interest for the month

My understanding is to obtain the monthly bonus interest you must deposit a minimum of $10 and make no withdrawal in that month. It’s all explained on the ANZ website.

If you want to keep getting interest but do transactions as well try the ANZ online saver accounts.
