OK, as an artist I've been hanging out to buy this baby, watching all the hype and yes!! I purchased her and have been up and running for a couple of months. At first it felt a little weird and a bit hard to handle after my iPad 4, I guess I was so used to having it on my knee. When I first got her I freaked as I didn't have a screen protector or a cover, now I have the whole caboodle, which was a little hard to source. I use a Y frame on the Pro for artwork as it needs the support and I purchased the Logitech keyboard instead of the Apple as i...
Read moret has the protection on the rear. It's quite versatile, a good compromise, as a notebook with the external keyboard and a most brilliant art canvas and I guess that's why I am so excited...can't wait for the pencil to come, however I've been using my old trusty Wacom stylus. I guess it's definitely better standing on a flat surface, which I guess some people might think defeats the purpose of an iPad. To me it's not a problem and quite brilliant to be able to take a whole art studio in a gorgeous piece of technology out when you are on a boat, in the car or just painting on a walkabout. Yes it's a little bigger, with a case, a little heavier, but a hell of a lot lighter than carting art supplies. The screen is amazing, the sound brilliant and I guess I'm only touching on the surface, lots to explore. Let's say that so far I'm totally ecstatic with my purchase and I love her to death, she's my art studio away from home!!- 16 reviews

I do like the big screensize and being able to watch something while typing away on an email. However, Apple tried to keep the ipad light and hence changed the cover from a metal to a plastic shell. I don't like the feeling compared to my old ipad. It seems not as robust.
