poor customer service
Today called the customer service line at Chadstone to inquire what interest free options are available to purchase an i phone. Reply was to ask latitude or the bank for the details, was unable to tell what interest free periods are available response was "go and ask the bank" . and the line was abruptly cut off. I called back but unfortunately the same person spoke to me and again terminated the phone line.on the 3rd attempt a different sales person spoke and he was helplessly helpful as he was unable to find a manger to talk to me. But af...Read more
ter going to and fro (presumed he spoke to some one), i was informed someone will call me back. Since i preferred to speak to some one at apple to call me at a time more suitable to me the sales person again appeared to to hold a number of conversations with another person before i was told to contact at a certain time. Apple products are good but the customer service at the local store is very poor It is good to try out the product at the store but when it comes to purchasing on interest free option i find the service is very poor in the end i didn't purchase the productSimilar opinion? 4 attempts to get a phone on a plan. Still no luck.
Have been in to the store 4 times to upgrade a phone and plan. 1st time the system was down, second time Telstra system not working, third time there was inadequate time to process the 30 minute application even though the store was open for another 40 minutes and fourth time there was no Telstra contract expert in store.... on a Friday evening. Horrible experience at Highpoint Apple. First ios 13 and now this. For the first time in almost 10 years I am contemplating going over to Samsung.

Very slow service due to poor equipment.
Today at the Sydney Broadway shop I traded in an I Phone 7 for an 11. Deal went well, then I tried to fix my watch 2. It cannot be updated, only 2 years old. Crazy
I decided to trade it in for a new watch. It took 2 hours to work out how to cancel the old watch. I had to renter my information and sign five times.
Once resolved, then the shop had to use 3 devices to make the payment. My poor dog was waiting.
The service provider was helpful. I asked for some water as we were there 4 hours in a heat wave, Apple does not have water, crazy.
I complained to the Broadway store manager, he just looked at me, no comment.
Poor service from Apple.
I do like my new phone and watch.

Horrendous! Apple GENIUS Deleted 8 Years Worth of Data Including All My Photos.
Went in the George Street Apple Store with a faulty display of iPhone X. During the process, the Apple GENIUS Technician I was handed over to asked me if I had backed up my data. I said no. He then said: well I can see that it was last backed up 2 weeks ago; if you have time I can back it up now. To which I advised that I was not in a rush and happy to wait. I said: to be honest, I dont care about messages, I only care about my photos.
My daughter is now 12 years old. All photos and videos of her and our special moments together over the las...Read more
t 8 years are now gone forever. No longer in my iCloud account (I thought the purpose of an iCloud account was to store your data). Previous to this, I had upgraded phones and never had a problem with losing data. I entered the store with a very simple problem and left without over 8,000 photos. I have asked if I can recover data previously saved at ANY point, say from 2 years ago but apparently there is no data to recover as the last backup has overridden everything. I have been offered no compensation whatsoever. My response from the Apple software team over the phone has been that data backup is the customers responsibility. I appreciate that, however I didnt override or delete anything. I wrongly put my trust in an Apple Genius Technician. Jesus Christ if they dont know what settings your phone should be on and how to safely backup your data, then how do they expect the average customer to.Similar opinion? Terrible customer service
I visited the Apple store in Robina, Gold Coast on few occasions. The staff are not caring, and you have to wait long to buy a product such as an accessory. I think the staff are not well trained to provide a good customer service. They just show that are busy with a small tablet they are carrying.

Fixed all issues - no charge
First time I went in, i had issues with my 6s. Camera wasn't focusing at all and battery was draining quickly. A quick look and they saw there was dust or something in the lens, so they gave me a whole new phone for free. Amazing, since i bought the phone second hand on eBay! So i had no insurance or anything for it.
Battery issues happened with new phone, it was draining when off. Went in, they plugged it in and checked a few things, again gave me another new one no issues.
I then sold it and bought an X and haven't had an issue since.
Super responsive, super efficient. Very happy.

Get your act together Apple and start treating your repair customers with a bit of respect
I took my laptop into the Sydney Apple store today to have a battery replaced. It's a mid-2014 Macbook Pro Retina, and I was advised the repair will take 7-10 days and cost $289.
How is it even remotely acceptable by any standard of customer service that a battery replacement can take so long? The price I expect, but the time to repair is unthinkable. Either they have too few staff, or they are receiving too many faulty products back for repair. Either way, this is something a customer should be shielded from.
One of the battery segments ...Read more
was swollen up like a pillow. How is it even remotely acceptable that such a poorly designed product can have such a short life span, and not be covered by a fit-for-purpose warranty? I advised them I would be commenting on the experience, and this is my first post. I don't have high expectations my next post will be any more flattering of Apple, or of their products. If they do come through within a reasonable repair time, I'll gladly update this post to reflect that. If not, I'll take more time to articulate exactly why I will not be purchasing any further Apple products, either for myself or my family.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Apple repair - ridiculously long timeframes
My MacBook Air is giving the message that it needs a new battery. Apple Store Brisbane are quoting a 5 to 7 DAY turn around - yes DAYs!! not hours. Apple say they won't order in the new battery until I've brought the MacBook into the store and handed it over to a technician. I suggested they order in the battery now for next week and book a day for me to get it repaired when the battery arrives, but no, they won't do that. I can't do without the computer for that long. Ridiculously poor service. Will buy a non-Apple laptop next.

Lousy service
I paid $650 for an Apple Watch at Robina. Best Life I got was 4 hours a day. Took it back 4 days later. All I got was some fast talking idiot that said I needed to book a Genius Bar in two weeks time. Really? This, and I repeat, fast talking idiot, would not accept the fact that under Australian Consumer laws, I have rights.
It got to a heated argument, to the point where I said that I would get his Genius Bar, smash the watch with it, and then beat him with it. With that, the fast talking idiot got a manager. Wrath replaced. No problems now.
Why does it have to get to this? Apple at Robina need to look at their fast talking idiots and sack them

Apple Chadstone simply shocking service
We went to the Apple Chadstone store to swap our waterlogged dead 6s Plus 64 gb phone for another . I phoned first and the salesman said no problems. He said Apple could swap it over for a cost of about $460. No problem I said. On Saturday afternoon, 12 October 2022, we wasted more than an hour in a very very noisy hot store. The young lass serving us was speaking so fast and in technical terms I did not understand. She kept on about how they could do this and that. But I explained to her several times - I just want to buy or swap for a new ph...Read more
one and they kept on asking for the ID of the old phone. Why on earth would they worry about the old phone? We just kept going around and around in circles. The original 6s Plus we bought was rubbish and was swapped over for another as it was under warranty. I really think these Apple iPhones are not very good. More than $1,000.Similar opinion? apple service worth less than an apple with a bite taken out
I have purchased for my business over the space of ten years 4 desktop Macs, 2 MacBooks, five iPads and I have lost count of the amount of iPhone I have purchased lets say maybe a dozen. 18 months ago I brought an iPhone X for $1800, within a couple of months I dropped it at work, and put a crack in the backside of the phone, the phone worked perfectly fine but I had it repaired at my own expenses nonetheless. only about two months ago it began to freeze up it got worse until it completely froze up. apple refused to fix it (despite paying for t...Read more
he extra warranty cover at the retailer) they said it had an "unauthorised modification", this apparently voided all warranty and possibilities of repair through apple despite my offer to pay for the repair. I then see on their website that you can trade in your old phone and pay $599 for the latest version, I asked what they do with the old phone they explained that they are recycled, I said so they are chucked away? Yes!, so I offered to trade in my phone then they back peddled denying me this option also. I have never claimed a repair on any of the above mentioned apple devices except this one time, and I'm denied any and all possibilities to replace or repair my phone its disgusting. I will never purchase another apple again!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Terrible service and warranty handling.
Tried to get an Apple watch replaced which battery had swollen and popped the display off the metal frame.
Watch purchased with Apple care+ was over warranty period but I had reported the issue of something appearing to press against the back of the LCD display during warranty period and it was noted on the file. Representative in the store and Manager told me that, in their opinion the reported issue during the warranty period, which could not be diagnosed with Apples diagnostic software and the fault are not related. It seems that Apple's extra warranty (Apple care+) are not worth purchasing anymore and that stores are trying to get out of warranty issues no matter what. This is not the Apple experience I knew and loved.

Poor service at Chadstone store
Hi
Just wanted to let you know my terrible experience at your Chadstone store by a apple assistant named Nick H.
I went in to get my iphone replaced, but he was either helpful or knowledgeable. It ended up been all my data from my old iphone getting erased and could not recover on new phone.
Nick did nothing to help, he's product skill was poor, did not know how to use itune in windows....
I hope this feedback is looked into so other customers are not affected by his disgusting attitude.
Regards

Apple laptop - iMac PC Firmware EFI chip password locks
Buyers beware of 2nd hand Apple laptops or iMac PC purchases. This is an expensive lesson I've learnt this week.
Those particular items should be listed as "Faulty & for parts only!" Whether they are able to turn on or have been wiped with a new install.
My experience recently with this is an issue world-wide that the Firmware EFI chip is locked.
I cannot unlock the Apple EFI (BIOS password) as the original owner set it up.
The business I purchased my iMac from cannot provide an original 'Proof Of Purchase' receipt either & Apple will not u...Read more
nlock it! So paying hundreds of dollars for Apple products you could be left with a dud. Especially if the HDD fails then it's an expensive paper-weight. It is also very difficult even as an experienced IT Tech to remove the password which could cost a couple of hundred dollars.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good stuff! Caring people!
I recently went to this store for data recovery for my Mac. Plus replacing my Ipad Air after my baby crashed it. Apple Bondi Junction store really have amazed me with their caring service.
Charlotte is the young lady who served me at their genius Bar. Professionally resolved my problem after with my Mac after my dramatic incident. There were chances of cross selling a new IPad where they can charge me more. However they thought ahead for me, judging I have a young baby, it’s best not to upgrade with something too fancy in case my baby accidentally ruins it again. Will definitely go back to this store.

Bad service Garden City Apple Store
Unfortunately I was waiting for my 3:50pm appointment till 4:30pm. All the clients in the table were served and I waited patiently. Then a friend happened to rock up and I said you have to wait for a bit when he asked. He was served within 2 minutes. I said to him while another staff member was there if I don't get served soon I would have to buy a google pixel instead of the iphone XS if they cant serve me soon and if my current iphone cannot be potentially fixed. So no one came for another 10 minutes and a new client came in to my table and g...Read more

Extremely Inferior and unreliable Product. Abusive and Absurd service to scare customers away.
A near new iPhone (cost $1000) broke, no screen at all.
Store assistant refused to fix and refused to provide the escalation path to complaint within iPhone
When I asked for her name for legal action, she refused to write it down, claimed that she sent it to my email (which is obviously never received) and instantly refused to provide service to me.
The Technical Support line is what they referred to as legal dept which is misleading.
Products and services from the 10 dollar shops may have been more reliable and trustworthy.
