Nice car, but terrible support from closest Audi dealer when a problem occurred. Another Audi dealer
We bought our Audi TTS new, as a special order with numerous extras. For the first 2 years I had no problems. The suspension is perhaps a little firm for the country area in which we live, but that is more to do with my choice of car rather than a fault with the car. More than enough power, fantastic grip from the haldex based part time quattro system, especially in the wet. No problems with the DSG. Lovely cabin and comfortable seats, though the rear seats are tiny - don't expect to get adults or older children in there for more than a few min...Read more
utes. Even fitting a baby seat is not easy. Optional BOSE sound system pretty good, same for the optional Bixenon adaptive headlights. After about 2 years the haldex pump failed and the car became front wheel drive. No warning lights came on, but with 200kw there was wheel spin and poor grip. We took the car to our closest Audi dealership (Barry Bourke Audi of Berwick) and were repeatedly told there was no fault with the car, no error codes and that we had bought inadequate tyres - despite these top tier tyres being fitted to Porsche, Ferrari's etc. So... bought 4 new premium tyres - car did not improve. In frustration we went to a 3rd party mechanic who immediately confirmed failure of the haldex pump and the error codes were there in black and white. Armed with this information we went back to the dealership who initially still tried to dismiss the issue. Eventually they admitted they had seen the error codes but were concerned about ordering parts which they felt Audi might not reimburse them for. Went to Penfold Audi of Burwood who sold us the car. They confirmed the issue and fixed the car under warranty. Audi Australia were not really very supportive in this process.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
