Took this while on Roaccutane (isotretinoin) for about four months as a preventative to stop my liver enzymes (ALT / AST) from skyrocketing. As it turns out, it not only prevented my ALT and AST levels from spiking, it slashed my numbers in half. Three times a day with every meal - two weeks per 42 pills in each bottle. Magnificent. I bought this to help with liver functions, and although I do not have any proof that it has helped, I feel confident in using in once or twice in a wekk to take care of my liver. Overall, this is a good supplement for general well being of the liver since Milk Thistle is supposed to aid liver functions.
I bought this because I had read about the good that Milk Thistle does for the liver and for wellbeing.
As with vitamins in general, there is a thought that it is only useful if your body doesnt have any of the supplement, but I like to take this once in a while, just in case it does do some good.
