The printer will not edit or enhance photo's unless it is connected to the net. and when I load Image garden the computer crashes.
Print qual is good but the printer is noisy.
Ink is average priced.
No user manual supplied
Overall the printer is garbage due to the necessity to be connected to the Net in order to find out how to use it. to
a useful degree and be able to edit and enhance photo's.

Hopeless installation
I have been trying for two months via Canon help to install printer and still not luck. Many emails giving same link and nothing works. All I wanted was a simple printer/scanner for home . The installation set up is terrible and not at all simple to follow. There is not warning on the box just says works with OSX but not that it has to be over 10.5. I have bought a new computer and it still doesnt install!

It definitely works
I only read most reviews here after buying and setting up the printer. I want to counter some of the reviews.
The printer is good. Quality isn't great, but for a cheap inkjet, I'm not expecting much.
Set up the printer via WPS to my router, then I could see it as an option on my iPad and iPhone. Didn't need to download any apps from the Apple Appstore.
I cannot attest to the longevity of the product since I only just got it. The only thing that hurts is that maybe it's not that straightforward for anyone to setup. I needed to know where the WPS section in my router menu was to connect it that way.

Poor quality printer
Will no longer buy Canon products, this is a very poor printer that takes a long time to connect to my laptop and does not photocopy correctly. It is hit and miss as to whether it wants to actually work. Uses ink very quickly too. Feels cheap and nasty, do not expect it to last much longer

Prints mutant pages
Printed pages always come out crooked, pictures and text blurred beyond recognition. The Tim Burton version of printed pages. Sometimes takes forever to print after receiving the command from my laptop. Ink and toner mysteriously disappears after recent top-ups. Wouldn't be surprised if the machine is possessed. Will be getting a refund, otherwise will be performing an exorcism on it.

Works without usb
I was having problems at first saying cant find printer until I went to my firewall on my virus protection and unticked block share network and another thing about blocking sharing network and then restarted the printer installing again and turned most of my WiFi devices off and it finally found my device and works.

Useless as a wireless printer
Bought this specifically for the wifi ability but the drivers you download to enable this function are useless. Did a bit of reviewing after and apparently it's a really common problem. So now I have the wireless printer I paid for hooked up by usb to print - waste of money!

Worked straight out of the box...
...just bought it, set it up...no problems. Working via wifi on my PC (Windows 10) plus iPhone and iPad. Am surprised by others reviews... No complaints here. Great value for the price. Through out my HP...will never buy a HP product again...any product. How unethical in that it will no print when a cartridge use by date is reached...even though there is plenty of black ink to print B&W only. HP? Never!

Useless Piece Of Junk.
I have had this 'printer' for possibly a year. I have not used it much because it rarely works. Have had to uninstall and reinstall a number of times because the Bluetooth stopped working. Currently it has stopped printing - spits out a blank page even though I recently replaced both cartridges. It seems if it runs out of paper during a print job it chucks a wobbly and refuses to print. Tearing my hair out as you don't get an instruction manual or a troubleshooter sheet and don't have time to search the internet every time it fails me, which is often, and I can't print them out because the printer doesn't work. Sorry I bought it.

Waste Of $$$
Tried everything to print wireless but no go, had to use USB cable, drinks ink and now not connecting now a piece of junk taking up room on my computer desk. Worked for about 70 pages and stopped working. Total CRAP!!! Takes 20 odd seconds from pressing print to when starts printing.

Low end printer
I got 2 of these printers and tried everything but can not get the wireless to work with the printer, totally useless! Yes, it prints and scans... that's all I can ask for, but can only print from the PC that the printer is connected via USB and unable to print from another PC or device on the wireless network. It's a simple low end printer, spending less on another printer and/or scanner will do exactly the same job; save your dollars.

This Canon Printer 3560 must be drinking the ink!
Since I got it, last year it has used six, can you believe 6 sets of toners!! 640 and 641, and it costs me around $55 each time to replace them. and I have not printed altogether even 500 pages yet. I know this as my 500 page ream is not finished yet! I am going to take it back and ask for a refund from Dick Smith, ask them to give me one that prints, as they say, 500 pages from one set of combination pack tones. I have spent almost $350 already on toners.

one day worked - next day didn't
Having to use this printer for work purposes while working from home I needed a good fast printing reliable printer. Everything was working great until I received a new modem from my internet provider. since that day the printer has not work! Keep getting error message "error printing" - I have spent hours uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, new updates etc to fix it however nothing has worked now I have a very large black paper weight on my desk with 2 expensive ink cartridges (almost new) sitting in it. very disappointed!

Worked. Then failed. Then scanner worked. Now nothing.
My HP failed so I took it back and got this 3560 Canon. It worked for a month until it suck up a whole bunch of pages to print one of them. Something got out of line so I could not use it except for draft printing and scanning. The scanning was good for a couple of months. Now nothing works. Got help from an IT pro... no go still. I'm keeping a list of tech failures - so many of them - and I will publish a book on these asap. I have wasted too much time and money and health on these gadgets. The digi-tech bubble is bursting... novelty is no longer enough... these things need to work as simple as a hammer.

Terrible Useless printer
Worked great until one day it decided it wasn't going to connect to the modem or anything at all. Keep getting printer not responding message and "error printing". I spent 4 hours reinstalling all the drivers and software multiple times and it didn't work and this printer is a huge pain in my neck and I regret buying it. I had the same drama with an old canon printer and ended up biffing it. Looks like this might be the fate of this new printer if canon doesn't help me fix this problem. I will never buy anything canon again. This printer is also bad on ink and drinks up all the ink like water to the point I believe it would actually be cheaper to drive to my local stationary store every day and pay to print stuff out.

Absolutely wonderful !!
Easy setup. My wife's laptop doesn't have a CD drive so I set it up from the www.canon.com/ijsetup website.
Went to the same website and found the app for my iPad and iPhone setup.
Used the CD to setup the home desktop computer.
It's great to be out on the back deck and click on print on your phone, iPad or laptop; and it just works so well printing away in the house.
I also made a shortcut icon for scanning on the laptop and home computer, and set it to save the scanned items straight into My Docs.
A great printer. I highly recommend it.

Perfect for me
Took me a while how to set it up...I only use the app when printing off my photo gallery...(iPad). Only use this at home when I need so it's perfect for me

Total rubbish - would not recommend buying!
As the previous reviewers I did not have any luck with getting wireless connection and Air Print did not work with my iPad2 air. Have followed all the steps in the instructions and followed the advise of others to reboot modem etc. to no avail. Nothing to do with perhaps a weak signal etc. as all of my other wireless devices work fine in the room the printer is located. So, in my humble opinion this printer is not worth your money, time, blood, sweat & tears ;-) Don't waste your money on this printer if you wish to use it with your iPad/iPhone, only if you want to use it with a USB cable ( not provided). As a previous reviewer I too will buy a different printer but only after they have made it work with my iPad and in the store.

Had problems getting it to print wirelessly until...
I use a MacBook Pro and haven't got it connected to the printer at all, nor have I downloaded any drivers etc. I couldn't get the printer to print or communicate with my ph at all. Then I went into the settings of my wireless modem/router and Bingo! Make sure you have it enabled with your modem or router first, after that everything worked as described - Can't fault it, Can print off stuff from iPhone, iPad etc anywhere in the house. Printer isn't connected to any computer and is quite a distance from living areas.

Hi, I was wanting to buy a Canon Pixma MG3060W from Aldi. What kind of cartridge does it use, how many prints and how much is the replacement?

Hi Marcia
besides the Canon cartridges, you can find at the dollar stores inks to match the Canon one
Thanks. I would prefer to use Canon ones. Just wondering what type they use so I can look into it before I purchase. Do you know if this is the smallest wireless printer copier Canon has?

Try holding down the black or colour button for around 10 seconds and this may help. Also check if your ink is empty. Alternatively, Google the manual. Hope this helps
