Used to be great ... until they merged with Equip Super
I have been with the fund for 19 years and have never had any issues. It was a high performing fund which provided great communication on the growth of your super. This year, after being notified that they would be merging with Equip super, I have yet to receive my yearly summary (usually at the beginning of June) and my super amount has not been reported to the ATO for well over a year. I am also unable to login to my account to see my current balance even though my login details have not changed. I'll be looking for a new fund now.

Extremely disappointed
I ended up with Catholic Super because my employer at the time sent my super to the wrong fund. Both myself and my employer tried unsuccesfully to transfer the misplaced funds to my usual super fund. In the end the funds were chewed up in fees.
I did some research that seemed to indicate that Catholic Super were a good performer, so I decided to stay with them. In retrospect this was a mistake.
I recently decided to change Super Funds to a better performing fund. This process, again took months. In the end, they only released my super after ...Read more

Worst service
Worst service I have received. Charged $75 to leave this superfund. The service over the phone was terrible and I was left with a lack of information.

BEWARE: Locked into buying insurance policies I didn't ask for and didn't need
Thousands of customers are unknowingly paying for unwanted insurance - using money that should have been building your superannuation nest egg. Yesterday a financial planner employed by the Australian Catholic Superannuation and Retirement Fund informed me I was paying about $530 annually for income protection insurance and around $210 for life / total disability insurance. These are insurances I NEVER requested and have NEVER thought I had needed. For 12 years, in a DEFAULT OPT-IN REGIME, they have diverted funds from my income stream, into th...Read more
eir company insurance policies. Thousands of dollars, via my own money, and the compounding interest of super funds, has been effectively STOLEN from me without my EXPLICIT consent. They defended their position by advising their DETAILED and effectively INCOMPREHENSIBLE annual statement showed me this insurance had been issued. My CANCEL THESE UNWANTED POLICIES - in writing request - is in today's post.

Very good product
Catholic Super does not have buy and sell fees which is fantastic, fees a little above average, web site updates could be faster than 1 week but over all good returns and customer service is very good well done.

Quite happy with Catholic Super!!
My monies have done exceptionally well with Catholic Super who I've have been with for about 15 years! Was thinking of switching however upon researching other mainstream Superannuation companies and having read such negative responses on them has only proven that I should stay with Catholic Super!!! ALSO, I am presently submitting a claim for Income Protection Insurance with their insurance company TAL who have been more than courteous, helpful and super friendly. Thus far, TAL have been expedient in making contact with me and have been sup...Read more

Hi i have an income stream pension from equip super ($178000 receiving $340 fortnight ) paying $1700 per year in fees.Wife has $360000 still in accumulation phase with same co. pays $2600 per year .Does this seem excessive? Thanks for any comments

Hi 2600 for 360000 comes to 0.72 of 1 per cent its seems on par with most industry funds, as in a retail fund it will be well over 1 percent, it all depends in how the money is invested, the equip super comes to 0.955 percent per annum and your returning 4.97 percent per annum, hope that helps.
Thanks for the help .We both have the balanced option .This superannuation business is certainly a minefield
