... Read moreWhat is that stench???
Cenovis multivitamins have always had a bit of a stink about them, but after a few years off them, I decided to start taking them again as I was on a fairly severe diet. When I opened the bottle, my gag reflex kicked in straight away. A foul stench emanated from the bottle. I figured ah well, probably just a change of ingredients and quickly swallowed it down. It wasn't until reading the below reviews that I drew the link that others have suggested. I too, have developed hideously itchy hives all over my body, experiencing headaches and nausea (which I NEVER get) and no sense of any health benefit...Based on the anecdotal evidence alone, the TGA should be investigating this...I will be taking them back to Woolies and demanding a refund.

Started taking Cenovis Mens Once Daily multivitamin a fortnight ago. The dizziness and nausea started in 2 days. It took me 2 weeks to think to look up reviews on the supplement. I see many others have had the same reaction. I threw what was left in the bin. Beware!

Taking for 4 days and gives me horrible indigestion and heartburn.
The last couple of days, this has escalated to difficulty breathing and horrible raised, red, itchy hives on my arms and legs.
Didn't take one this morning and feeling much better and hives have completely settled down. Putting them straight in the bin

Fish taste and smell
I bought mens multi that I always buy.
A few years ago they smell and taste like fish. I was told to post them back. The team said the pills were stored incorrectly.
Today I bought them again like usual.
They had the fish smell and taste again.
I don't have time to waste sending back vitamins.
I tried to notify you online but you expect me to accept cookies. I called cenovis the line was so bad we couldn't understand each other.
If you are going to have this issue randomly I'm not going to buy your brand again.
I usually buy all cenovis brand

Almost threw up
5 mins after taking the first pill I felt large waves of nausea and thought I was going to throw up. Luckily it passed after 5-10 mins but it's not worth me taking another pill to find out. Especially after reading other people having the same experience.

I took these for a week, in the first 2 days I had crazy Indigestion and on the other 5 days I had insane headaches that wouldn't stop even with Ibuprofen or Panadol.
In terms of benefits, since I've only been taking them for a week, I couldn't notice any.

These are my go too multi-vitamin
I'm surprised by some of the comments. I've taken on & off for years always with food, no issues, only have when my diet's lacking adequate fruit & veg as top up

Don't take this stuff, been to doctors numerous times with, bad nausea, dizzyness, anxiety, diarrhea, any way had numerous blood tests, these things caused my thyroid to flare up, had been taking them for 6 months, then I realised that all this stuff started when I took these, so I did a test, didn't take them for a week, then bang problems gone, so then I took 1, bang sick for 2 days again, been a week since I took them problems gone and so are they in the bin, crap pills don't take them.

Gross
The contents of the capsule tastes utterly revolting. Like an iron capsule mixed with a fish oil capsule. Repeats on me all morning and makes me feel queasy. I cut one open and was surprised to see how thick the capsule is. It's mostly capsule and the capsule tastes gross too.
Headache Sick And Runs
I took these for a week. Gave me Headaches, felt sick in the gut despite taking them with food in the morning and played havoc with my bowels. I was taking the multi vitamin with ginseng boost for about a week and my wife started to complain I smelt funny ie the Vitamin B leeching through my skin. Also some reflux - I now see the MV with ginseng is not even on the cenovis website and not on the shelves? - never again - just better to have a good diet.
Excellent for inducing indigestion
I am not a Chemist, so I cannot say with any authority that what is in these big brown sticky things contains anything that is good for you. I have been taking them for a short while now. Around one month, and I don't know whether my health has improved or remained the same. You would have to think they must be good for you, having all those luscious vitamins and minerals in there.
I can tell you one thing. They create dreadful indigestion, and my wife, who works in the medical industry says anything that causes so much grief is a warning si
... Read moregn. I am starting to agree with her. I will probably go off them, because I just don't think they are doing much, if anything, and burping up their awful taste in your mouth all day is not cool. They could be good for your garden. I threw some underneath our orange tree last month and already we are starting to see more oranges on the trees. They have a slight brown glow, and if you look at them under an infrared light they glow green as though they are radioactive, but apart from that they should be perfectly squeezable. Here's another clue. A colony of small ants found one last month and took it back home to their nest, and all I can say is they must love it because the small ants nest they once had is looking more elegant than the Taj Mahal.Questions & Answers
Have noticed a strong odour coming from these capsules. Has anything changed.
I have been using your men's multi vitamins for some time. I have just been diagnosed with coeliac. Am i safe to keep taking them. The bottle label indicates one added gluten but not does not contain gluten
If it contains a gluten then it isn't gluten free that's pretty basic if ur "Celiac" correct spelling..
Uhh, 'coeliac' is the correct spelling in Australia. That's why the peak organisation for the disease in this country is spelled 'Coeliac Australia'. Also, read his comment. He has said the label reads 'NO added gluten' but is concerned about any hidden or unproclaimed gluten ingredients. Life isn't 'pretty basic'when you're a coeliac and when companies label products ambiguously.
I made it on here looking for the same answer about their other supplements, Geoff! Had a vitamin c this morning and felt sick all day. The labelling is very confusing. I'm going to contact Cenovis directly, that's my best suggestion.
