Great all-purpose monitor
When people see the Dell Ultra Sharp U2412M for the first time they're always amazed by it. Top quality IPS, terrific viewing angles, colours, clarity second to none. At 1920x1200 the fine detail of tiny text or photos or whatever is quite something. Rotates to portrait mode, adjustable height and tilt so you can get it exactly right for your viewing. I've had mine for two years and am completely happy with it. They usually cost $400 and you certainly get your money's worth. I picked mine up on special - 30% off, $270 - which Dell do occasionally.

Its LED back light so it generates almost no heat.
