DeLonghi DEDW645S (Silver) (page 2 of 3)

I have never seen a dishwasher that you actually have to hand wash dishes after they have supposedly been "cleaned" by the dishwasher. It doesn't compare in any way shape or form to the old dishlex that we had for over 10 years. Very disappointed and will not buy DeLonghi again.

Just installed this 4 days ago after a long wait for a kitchen reno to finish. Was looking forward to using it but has since been a nightmare. Have had to rewash nearly every cycle and the dishes are NEVER dry. Dish tablet doesn't release properly, dishes are always dirty and always dripping wet no matter what cycle we choose. I want to find out about getting a refund and getting something better. It's the worst!! Would NOT recommend.

Love how quiet this unit is, cleans my crockery & especially glassware beautifully .
Easy to stack, with lay down or removable racks for larger items . The top drawer for cutlery and longer knives is great. The finish is easy to clean & keep clean
All in all would recommend this product

I had been a dish drawer convert and could not imagine ever going back to the regular dishwasher....Until necessity saw us purchasing the DeLonghi DEDW645 Series. I LOVE it. I cannot understand how I could have fallen so heavily for the dish drawers when I see the many features and benefits The Delonghi brings to my kitchen.
It is so silent that I often wonder if it is actually on.
I love the time count down feature so that you know exactly when to expect the cycle completion.
The cycle delay timer is a Godsend especially with our recent s...

I also love the variety of cycles to choose from, including an 'auto' cycle. I was apprehensive about the cutlery drawer and admittedly, it did take some getting used to, but I see how effectively and efficiently the cutlery is washed and have become used to the use of the cutlery drawer and am appreciative of how well it cleans the cutlery. The top crockery drawer height can be adjusted to fit tall plates in to the bottom drawer. I just love this dishwasher.

- cleans ok and drys well if not to full. The dishwasher aide indicator could be a bit a brighter.
- quiet even when asleep
- drying option/colour/blue led.
Didn't have a problem with it until the heater function stopped working shortly followed by the water stopping getting hot. Drama getting replacement parts

Do not purchase this machine, its doesn't wash, its doesn't dry, the tablet doesn't come out of the dispenser, other than the fact its nice to look at I have nothing positive to say. Good customer service at Goodguys Greensborough for allowing me to exchange it for a different model

Worst dishwasher ever!! If there was an empty star I would pick that!! its criminal they can be sold
Dishes do come out clean if they are rinsed beforehand, and only on the cycles over 2 and half hours.
It is extremely noisy, I have to turn up volume on tv everytime its on.
Favourite features are nothing.. the tray for cutlery nothing sits in the slits they all just slide to the middle .. The racks for dishes are constantly folding inwards ..large glasses &wine glasses fall over I hate it ..
The on button I have to press minimum of 5 times before it actually starts, the "dryer" button does not dry.. sometimes the dispenser door doesnt open ...
Read moreand so the 2.50 hour cycle is wasted because the dishwashing powder ot tablet did not immerse.. My electricity bill has shot throught the roof since i got this. it was not my choice the landlord replaced a beautiful miele one that was so quiet and worked like a dream... The latest dilema is it has been flooding my unit for the last 3 days. I turned off the tap but it keeps draining and there is always morewater sitting in the bottom and it leaks out every day.. (The plumber is coming tomorrow)!!

It was cheap, internal layout with the cutlery dray is fantastic, though not good for wine glasses. Problem takes 2-3hrs to wash! The quick one hour wash is not great. So if you are not in a rush, not a bad purchase but my last machine only took an hour and great job.
Nothing comes out clean even though I rinse everything with hot water before loading. Cups come out dirtier than when they went in, powder residue left on everything. Rinse aid is always topped up and does not make a difference. Doesn't dry anything no matter what setting we use! I would never recommend this dishwasher to anyone.

Got service repair guy out just before warranty ended and he said need to clean the arms weekly. (Never done this on any before). Made no difference when I do it every week

It washes the dishes beautifully and even dries the dishes better
it is whisper quiet but it starts up a bit loud at the beginning
My favourite feature is rapid and 1 hour cycles
If you are looking for a dishwasher that is easy to use and hassle free to load and unload then choose this one

Old dishwasher was a Dishlex 25 years old, so great value ! Finally had to buy a new one and husband wanted S/S . Delonghi is not too noisy but some of the cycles are very long .Does a great job of cleaning and drying my dishes .Still not used to the cutlery tray up top which also does restrict height of mugs and glasses on the next shelf .But all in all satisfied

We were given this Delonghi dishwasher under a warranty replacement for a stainless steel Westinghouse WSF6605 that died, (fortunately we had paid for an extended warranty!)
Overall I preferred using the Westinghouse dishwasher compared to this Delonghi model and would recommend the Westinghouse over the Delonghi, if you're choosing between the 2.
The Delonghi model, like the Westinghouse, is an ascetically nice looking washer and quiet during its wash cycle, which is great if you have an open plan kitchen/living area as there's minimal w...
Read moreasher 'noise pollution.' However, I have found that the Delonghi's wash cycle options do go for much longer compared to the Westinghouse's wash cycle options. With more fuller loads the Westinghouse also had a superior cleaner finish to the dishes once the wash cycle is complete. Which is a little frustrating when you have to re wash dishes manually by hand once they've come out of the dishwasher. If you're like me, I just want a set and forget result with a dishwasher! That means you have to make sure you've thoroughly rinsed off any stuck on scum on pots prior to putting them in the washer. The Delonghi also doesn't have an auto power shut off mode once a wash cycle completes which the Westinghouse did. Which means the dashboard lights stay illuminated until you manually turn the machine off.- 6 reviews

I have found this dishwasher washes the dishes really well but they are quite wet when they come out its best to put on the extra dry option or open the dishwasher for an hour or so once it has finished to let it dry. then the machine is working it is quiet and I forget it is even on. I have found it very good but a little slow. the adjustable shelf is helpful and I love that the knives and forks are on the top in there own section and not stuck down the bottom catching everything. over all I would purchase this dishwasher again.

Moved to new home and had to replace the Kleenmaid dishwasher which I reckon was put in when the house was built in 1980! It worked fine but was noisy and ugly. The DeLonghi stainless steel d/w looks brilliant and fitted snugly into the slot. It is easy to load and unload and is satisfyingly quiet. Sadly it doesn't dry as well as it washes but I am aware that unless you go the whole economic hog and buy a Miele, none of them dry completely. Value for money is great, we'd rather have the DeLonghi plus dinner out once a week and dry the bottoms of glasses for a year than a Miele.

Had to buy a new dishwasher after my Fisher & Paykel one died & it was going to cost more to fix than buy a new one (a sad state of affairs!). Bought this one after reading favourable reviews from The Good Guys at Tweed Heads. Well I don't know who they are but all I can say is - don't buy it! It looks great & is very quiet, but the racking system is atrocious - nightmare fitting pans & plates in - even retrieved my cutlery basket from my old dishwasher so my husband could slide out the bloody stupid cutlery tray at the top which cut down the h...
Read moreeight space. Frequently the soap dispenser flap doesn't open (one wash I had to open the thing manually after resetting 3 times). Plates, when I can fit them in, do come out clean but as for it being a 16 place setting - well in whose world? If I could rate it zero I would! I did send a complaint to De Longhi about the dispenser issue - they haven't even bothered acknowledging it let alone answering it!- 9 reviews

This dishwasher is amazing. I've never had to rewash anything and dishes dry without leaving water marks. The cutlery tray allows items to be washed thoroughly, whilst it also makes handling cutlery easier and more hygienic, with no need to touch the ends when stacking or unstacking. The Delonghi DEDW645S is energy efficient, very quiet and looks stylish, especially when switched on with the display panel softly backlit. It is incredibly easy to operate and is very reasonably priced. I love this dishwasher, it's freed up so much of my time. I'd recommend this product, for sure.

Cleans ok
Not as quiet as our last machine.
My least favourite feature is the arrangement of the racks and the fact that there is no utensil basket. There was a problem with the first one we bought and they could not supply the part, so eventually had to replace the whole unit. Just not happy with it.

Really does an excellent job, quiet and quick operation. Good Quick operation with fast cycles. Tray for cutlery instead of old style dishwashers where put in a container at the bottom of the machine. Easy to load. Easy to clean. Quiet, and great metallic finish in the kitchen, updates the surrounding space, through modernising the appearance of the kitchen.
It is now 8 months on with my DeLonghi dishwasher and it is still one of my best purchases.. performs excellently.

Washes and drys just as well as my previous very expensive Bosch which only lasted 5 years. I bought the DeLongi due to the inexpensive price and the cutlery draw. Positives - looks heaps better and sits into space better. Hell of a lot cheaper than previous dishwasher. Quiter too. Negatives - I find it really difficult to stack and I am hoping I get used to it. Also I can't seem to fit as much into this dishwasher as my previous one. Unable to put tall glasses in middle shelf. Bottom self rollers seems to come off and shelf doesn't roll back a...

Never thought I'd review a dishwasher but this thing is awful, replaced a 10 year old Bosch dishwasher and isnt remotely as good. Dishes don't fit, cutlery tray impractical, doesn't clean well, and doesn't dry. When I called delonghi was told it won't dry if you have plastic items in the dishwasher, so I have to wash these by hand which defeats the point of having a dishwasher since that's about 25% of the stuff we wash. Currently washing by hand as it won't even start now, had it about 4 months and are debating whether to scrap it and take the...

Delonghi has always been a reliable and trusted brand for me. I was due for a new dishwasher and I decided to purchase this machine as it was on sale. I don't think it's too noisy and it has quite a few cycles to choose from. IT also washes and dries well for me, but there is a con. The cutlery rack is up at the top and at first I thought that is a great idea... I didn't realise that, as there is an additional rack, although it doesn't take much room, it still steals space from the two bottom racks. For this reason, my dinner plates (which are ...
Read morepossibly only 1cm larger than a standard one, so they are not huge) don't fit. The rotating arm still works, but I can only wash a couple of dinner plates and I must place them at the very back of the dishwasher. If I place more than a couple of plates, the arm doesn't rotate and the dishwasher doesn't wash properly. Being part of a family of 4, I do tend to have more than a couple of dinner plates, so I might have to purchase a different dishwasher as this is not working out for me, Such a shame as it's a great machine overall.Well, at first it l00ked like the best DISHWASHER in the world.
but
it
wasn't, it is the worse dishwasher that this earth has to offer.
It's loud and obnoxious.
So I thought MAYBE I should drop it on my kids head and it will shut up but nooooooooooo it didn't so um
This dishwasher sucks!!!111!!!11
Machine used 26 days. Spent entire time, configuring DW, Studying User guide, alas, even shed tears of frustration. Good features:Cleans well if items rinsed. DW is quiet, egg rings squeak. Agree about wine glasses and spray arms on bottom plates issue. Courteous DeLonghi concierge follow-up, but utterly frustrated. Last night had another go, took out the top shelf (cutlery one) to fit glasses - still at 20 degree angle, still drain off non-existent. Going to Good Guys tonight. Why is it so hard to get a dishwasher that does the job.GG if you tell me tonight, to put the glasses on the bottom tray, I will surely scream!

Purchased this to replace a Bosch dishwasher which cracked in the inside because it was plastic. Thought the stainless steel interior would work better however this dishwasher does not have the ability to wash well unless you use the longest cycle possible. There is no drying ability on this dishwasher and everything comes out wet - so everything needs to be hand dried which is a complete waste of time.
Called customer service and they just suggested to use more rinse aid - tried it and the dishwasher does not have the ability to dissolve it well. The slimy leftover was on my dishes so I have to wash them twice at the moment. Avoid if you want a good dishwasher that washes and dries well!

OK, an update. The cutlery tray does not work well. On reflection I would spend $100 and get ones that works properly
