Terrible online service
So ordered two books online to keep myself occupied during covid, got told that ther might be a bit of a delay fast foward a month still waiting for obe of my books, one came in 3 weeks after i ordered while they were keep changing dates and shipment days(got told that they will come together) ended up orderingthe other volumes from a different website and came a week later, ( both were based in sydney) so basically trust all of tbese bad experience go to a physical dy mocks and don't order from them online, or just order from somewhere else would be the best option.

Terrible service
I ordered an outfit for my son’s birthday at least 3 MONTHS in advance. All the items I ordered said in stock. They sent through some of the shirts I ordered months later but didn’t tell me until the week before his birthday that they ran out of my size, leaving me literally no time to order another one. I had emailed them countless times prior throughout the 3 months asking if they would be able to deliver the item in time so that I could come up with a backup plan if they told me it would be late. Worst retail experience I ever had
The online store lists items they do not have in stock, take your money and then hope that they can source it from somewhere. Ordered an ‘Instock’ item 7 weeks ago. I had to send several emails asking for the status of the order. Each time receiving the standard pandemic excuse. This cannot be used as an excuse for selling out of stock items!!
Today, (7 weeks after I ordered it) I received a generic email saying they will not be sending my item and refunding the charge. Not a personal apology, not an compensation for their lack of service.
Absolutely appalling customer service and my sister is without a birthday present.

Seems I'm not the only one.
So I ordered 4 books. All listed as 'in stock'.
3 weeks later I emails to enquire where my books were at. Only to be told they weren't in stock and would be shipped once In stock. No apologies. Nothing.
Fast forward another 2 weeks and I go my shipping notification. Delivery was slow (but I thought, ok. Covid).
When they arrived I only had 3/4 books.
When I contacted them about this they didn't even apologise. But said they would check with the warehouse.
One week later when I AGAIN contacted them I was advised it had been packed but not yet shipped.
Again, no apologies, offer of credits or anything. Incredibly poor customer service.
I will NOT be buying through dymocks again.

Worst service ever
I placed an order and paid at the start of april and have today (2months later) been advised that my order has been cancelled. When I called customer service they were rude and no help at all. I will not be buying from them again!

Paid for items, received nothing.
Bought an e-book that I needed urgently for uni. The website timed out, took my payment but never received the e-book. The only reason I got this was because I could download it and use it straight away as needed. When offered a refund, I confirmed and got no response, I called and was told I will have to wait for the confirmation as I'm in a queue, then wait again for the refund to be processed. Regret buying from here, will never make the mistake again.

Horrendous
I ordered 5 books in April and it took them 3.5 weeks to arrive despite being told 7-14 days was when I’d be receiving them. On numerous occasions I called and was not able to speak to anyone, I finally received an email and was told there were delays. Eventually I got on to someone on the phone and was told 3 books had been shipped in staggered increments so as to allow some orders to get to me faster. cancelling last 2 books and having them delivered by my local store (Camberwell) in 2 days. I also went online and purchased 3 more books from Angus & Robertson. They arrived in 2 days. I do not know how an online store can be so dysfunctional and unorganised. I well and truly understand delays, but I had waited close to a month. If you can manage a staggered order, I suggest you spend the additional time locating the rest of the order and shipping that as well, or let me know it needs to be ordered. The worst service, l have ever had with an online shop
Purchased 3 items for my mums birthday, the online shop stated that items were available. 8 weeks later and 6 weeks passed her birthday the items have still not left the warehouse. Terrible service and just excuses from Dymocks no answers. Would give a -0 if possible

Like others, would give it zero stars if I could.
Ordered two books (said they were in stock) on the 19th of April. I ordered with express shipping, as boyfriend's birthday was 13th of May and, with the whole COVID thing going on, would expect them to at least arrive within a month of express shipping. Nope. It's the 26th of May, and boyfriend is still waiting for his books. They've been sitting in the warehouse for weeks. Dymocks are trying to blame the abysmal shipping times on COVID, but seeing as they haven't even dispatched my books to Auspost yet, this is on them.

ce isn't bad enough, trying to get in touch with them is even harder. Sent an email a week after the estimated delivery date in early May asking about the status of my order. No reply. Sent another one. Nothing. Called up during operating hours. Straight to message bank. Tried again, message bank, and repeat. I just want to either a) know when my books will finally be shipped or b) organise a refund. FIVE WEEKS with express shipping without even having SHIPPED THE ORDER is unforgivable. Just not good enough
I ordered a book to be delivered to my niece's so they could use it during the time when there was no school due to Covid19. I understood that there maybe a delay however 31 days and it still hadn't arrived. The customer service line is pretty no existent. Do not bother ordering from them you will spend your money for the worst service you'll ever experience.

NOT HAPPY WITH SHIPPING
Ive been waiting a month for 1 book to come and still not here.
Was meant to be for my hubby's birthday and I haven't been able to give it to him. Even with Covid, other deliveries have come way quicker with this. If I haven't received my book in a week, I'm demanding a refund and I'll get it elsewhere.
Never online ordering from here again.

Terrible delivery service (if you can call it a service)
I ordered months ago, spent about $500, and have not received one of my orders. Don't give us the Covid-19 rubbish excuse, as I have ordered many things from Myer, David Jones, JB HI FI and a few other stores and the deliveries have taken as much time as normal. In fact, I even received free delivery from those stores. Dymocks should be PAYING us to cop this lousy delivery service. I intended to read these books while in quarantine, though now I guess I won't be seeing them until we're back at work and I no longer have any time to read. There you go, another lost customer. Plenty of great businesses going bankrupt at the moment, I really hope the bad ones like Dymocks go soon as well otherwise what a waste of a crisis!

Been waiting months
Ordered 7 books back at the start of April - so far 3 have arrived. Haven't been able to reach them over the phone and just got a generic reply to an email. I understand COVID is causing delays but I have used other onlines book stores (both amazon and Booktopia) during this time and received books within weeks. If they can't get hold of the books/don't have stock then Dymocks should not be taking people's money. I would not advise anybody to use them online (even if they provide a decent service in the physical stores).

Total disaster. Less than even a star.
I have ordered about 5 books at the end of March. No delivery, no contacts, no reply for email, voice message, and no response even at the chat on the website.
Finally, after a month, they have sent wrong books.
Whole refund requested, and I have sent the books back using my personal time.
And then, they have sent correct books again, even though I requested return.
From the beginning until the end. Totally, totally disasters.
I am sure even every local book shops would do much better than this company.
It seems like they don't communicate each other, and there is no proper customer service.
Totally sucks.

Waiting, waiting, waiting....
Dymocks offered to provide a service, with a <14 day delivery, with potential for delay. It has now been over a month and i received an email stating they havent even packed it. Looking around i see that this is a common issue. I appreciate they are overwhelmed and this is a difficult time. Sometimes people rise to an occasion, sometimes they let an oppurtunity pass them by. Dymocks blew the oppurtunity that fell in their lap with this crisis and that all there is to say.

If I could give these people negative stars, I would.
Why say the order will arrive within 14 days, and then take 8 weeks to deliver it. That is the most deceitful act I have ever experience. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE. I hope these people go out of business.

Unreasonable delay
Ordered 3 books 'in stock' on 24/4, estimated delivery 29/4 - 13/5. I sent an enquiry on 13 May and was sent an automated reply just that order was in progress.

You could write a book faster
Site indicated around 5 days for delivery. Took almost a month to be actually delivered. No communication from Dymocks and when contacted they blamed Australia Post, which simply cannot be true as the book wasn't even shipped yet. Will certainly never use gain.

Delayed shipping
Books I ordered were in stock online on 30/4. Still haven't been shipped. Will consider ordering books elsewhere in future. Maybe they should employ extra staff to help with dispatch.

Since providing these comments, order has now been placed on hold. Original order stated delivery between 4-7 May. Still no response from Dymocks. Extremely disappointed.
Finally a good email advising items sent. From past experience once with couriers usually arrive 2 days later.

laws. Dymocks please provide response. I certainly hope there is a reasonable explanation to why consumers have been told items available when they haven't been.
