Very bad for hands
I bought this product with the belief that it would be environmentally friendly. But I'm not here to comment on whether that is true or not. The product worked well at cleaning dishes however it absolutely destroyed my hands. I have very cracked and very dry fingers and hands as a result of it. I have used two different prescription hand ointments to bring my skin back to normal but this has done nothing to fix it. I am now planning to go to the doctor to see a skin specialist. I really think it's removed a few layers of my skin.
Can't believe how a product like this is so bad on hands.

Not hand friendly!!!!
Toxic !!!!
Use this product if you enjoy having cracked, bleeding hands, blisters or being in pain
My hands were destroyed and I had to have time off work
If you are chemical sensitive I'd say stay away
not earth friendly

I keep purchasing it because it's effective
Historically I did not have a dishwasher, something I have only remedied in the past three years.
However some items always require hand washing. This Earth Choice product is effective on fairly dirty crockery and cutlery. It also has a pleasant, rather faint aroma that is not too 'intrusive.'
I buy it at IGA or Woolworths.

good results for an excellent product
I see some people have reactions to your products, my sister has chronic eczema & cant use even the mildest products on her skin without having a reaction & has to use totally chemical free for her cleaning so I do understand how some people have reactions, but we in this household have used the washing liquid & laundry liquid for quite some time and love them, just recently we moved into a house with polished floors & my daughter bought the floor cleaner, after an application the floor came up beautifully, after a few applications they have come up even better, excellent products at an affordable price

Ok first of all, all the complainers need to read this review.
Because it is Earth friendly that does not mean it is skin friendly? This"drying" action happens with me also, but the very definition of detergent the way it acts is to bind the soap with grease. So ANY moisture in your hands, natural oils etc it will remove. That is the science behind how detergent works.
Secondly it SAYS on the fact sheet / safety sheet that what to do if you get it with direct skin contact. In other words (as I said it) USE GLOVES. Again EARTH friendly does NOT mean it is SKIN friendly.
Also this is NOT the concentra...Read more
te version! Stop reviewing the normal product and complaining you have to use more because it is not concentrate. There is a concentrate version! If you wish, buy that. I prefer this version because people in my household over use the damn stuff otherwise and this seems to work just as well and is FAR cheaper. Product Review should really clear up this mess of reviews.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Earth Choice detergent
Hi my name is Jacquie. l used Earth Choice detergent and my hands became very dry my fingers have cracked and one of my nails are starting to look like it will come off. I should have used gloves so I'm thinking it's not as environmentally friendly as it says it is. Thanks for your reviews.

Love it!
All other dish washing liquids have a very over powering which sets my hayfever off terribly. This doesn't do it it has a faint smell and it washes the dishes great and it's one of the cheapest dishwashing liquids out there.

Works a treat.
Used the laundy liquid for years followed by the dishwashing liquid. So impressed with its price and performance. We then discovered their window cleaner. If you have a 4 X 4 with hard to clean windows. Their window cleaner out shines the blue one. The products have my vote

Disgraceful chemical list masquerading as 'Green'
With a disgraceful list of chemical ingredients, EarthChoice washing up liquid has few actual 'green' credentials, rather it contains known carcinogenic chemicals and coal-tar dyes!
I can't believe we would swallow this - literally! Look into more natural cleaners before taking up this product, for your own safety.

slightly better than just running the tap
As long as you don't use any oil or fat of any kind this product works brilliantly! If you do however you are probably better off buying paper frying pans and throwing them in the recycling bin after use.

about average
I have bought earthchoice dishwashing liquids from Coles supermarkets and they do the job quite well though I prefer the concentration version in the smaller pack though I would advise using gloves for people with dermatitis just like any other dishwashing liquids

Excellent product.
We had previously had superb results at a more than competitive price with Earth Choice products we decided to try Earth Choice Dishwashing liquid. Again, delighted with the result, environmentally friendly, and usually way cheaper than the 'big name' brands. Earth Choice gets our vote for laundry, kitchen, household cleaning, and personal care products. Seldom buy any other brand these days.

'Fragrance' can be anything!
I've had nothing but headaches since using the new, concentrated version of Earth Choice Lemon & Basil. I'm assuming their laundry liquid has had a fragrance revamp as well as I can no longer use that either. The riginal product had a 'gentle on hands' formula; this has been dropped from the concentrate.
In essence, “fragrance” on a product’s ingredient label is a way for the manufacturer to include a whole group of unlisted ingredients under the umbrella

Great for households with a septic
I have been using this product for 2 years now and chose it because we have a septic and we have to be careful of what chemicals we put down the drain. it works well, just like any other dishwashing liquid. I have had no issues and it is great value.
great value

Earthchoice have been lying to us for decades
The original green washers, Australia's Earthchoice detergent range cornered the market early, and have long relied on the absence of packaging regulations to keep the wool pulled firmly over our eyes. Their products contain the big three: sodium laurel/eth sulfate, which pollutes our waterways and allegedly causes cancer; palm oil, which we all now know decimates orangutan populations; and oh, benzoids and heavy metals which have been proven to cause cancer. Thanks Nature's Organics. Great work. Try EcoStore, Seventh Generation, Soap Nuts or Castille soaps instead.
Hmm, that I could choose something else
fraudulent, carcinogenic and environmentally destructive

Very dry hands.
After using 'Earth' for 1 week the skin on my hands is now dry and splitting. I've changed no other detergents, cosmetics etc, and the dry skin is on my hands and fingers only which I believe it is directly related to this detergent. I've never had a reaction to any other product previously.
bad for skin.

Works well
It works really well and is inexpensive. Even though it isn't concentrate it works just as good. Even though I think that I end up using the same amount of detergent for concentrated.
Definitely value for money. It is gentle on the hands and doesn't dry them out like other brands. It is also environmental friendly too so I feel like I'm doing my bit for the environment
