My friend who wishes to remain anonymous is confused about payment methods as when she checks out it only say full 6 month, 12 month or 24 month payment in full, but no sign of paying only in monthly installments hence why she's reluctant to pay premium as its too much to pay in one go. Can anyone help or explain please?

I am starting a class action lawsuit against Eharmony - they recently lost a 2.2 million dollar case in America and will lose here too. To start a class action there needs to be seven people who suffered a loss of the same - I want my money back from their dishonest auto renewal practices!
Get in touch if you want to get involved with the class action against these rip off merchants

They are harassing me also. I told them I joined on the belief there was a cooling off period. I used it less than a week! I'm all for fighting these con-artists.

A match and myself were both online and I was in the process of responding to a message when I received a goodbye message from her and a request to delete the match. Fortunately, I already had her phone number. The match says when she tried to review my profile she found it missing and assumed I had deleted it. My profile is still active (I hope). How could this happen?

I cancelled my subscription the same day more than 6 months ago after stupidly signing up. I also cancelled my card. I’ve had 2 emails from Collection house to pay $370. Anyone have them come knocking? I want to ignore and block the email. What should I do?

I highly doubt anything more than threatening letters would get sent, hoping it would scare you enough to pay. Unsure about credit rating. I would block and ignore.

If I signed up on the 19th Jan (monthly) and asked to cancel on the 23rd Jan, does a cooling off period apply? I'm in Victoria.
If not, cancelling my card is easy if they can't pursue debt collection.

I did exactly that too. I signed up on a Friday, it wasn't for me so I sent them a email on the Saturday. I cancelled my card, and now I have the collections onto me, stiff, I'm not paying. I'm in Victoria too

Hi all. I'm in Australia. I have been able to get them to cancel my account and I have cancelled my credit card so they can't keep charging me. I am still getting emails from them demanding payment. I cancelled my account 30 minutes after subscribing when I realised how much they are actually going to charge Me. If I just ignore the emails and don't pay will I get into trouble?

I am unable to establish an Australian phone number, only US number so forced to communicate via email which takes 24 to 48 hours for each response : (

eHarmony is certainly a rip off. I cancelled my subscription less than 24 hours after I [stupidly] signed up, only to be told they'd continue to deduct charges for 12 months. Now they are sending debt collectors after me. I cancelled subscription within 24 hrs and never contacted anyone online. Does anyone have any recommendations about stopping this???

Update
I blocked eharmony from my gmail.
I called them multiple times and were getting aggressive with me.

My account was made without my consent. (Saying they done a full investigation) even though the account is a under a different name. Wouldn't the investigation had to be 100 true? Well i guess not! They didn't do a proper investigation

I called debt collectors (Australia) and legally they cannot take me to collections because they would waste their time for 135 dollars and Australia doesn't have its own set of terms and conditions.

And they cannot sue, or given court hearings or take someone to debt collectors.

Even if i do receive a phone call. I simply deny because the name is wrong and the account was made with my bank details stolen.

And on top of that its in a different country laws work differently between countries.

Their terms and conditions is terrible they do not even follow through without. It makes me angry how they state to read the terms and conditions yet Australia doesn't have terms and conditions and i cannot follow them. Sooo i ask myself (what can i follow"
They failed to respond.
