I bought this washing machine late January 2020 to replace a F&P Smartdrive washing machine that I'd had for over 20years. The new machine is ok but it always beeps and flashes "no hot" when filling even though the hot water tap is obviously on. I have to pause and unpause to overcome this issue and it resets and starts again. This has been happening as since the second time I used it. This is becoming very frustrating as I have to wait around to pause/unpause to reset. My husband has checked the tap hose and it is fine. The load is hot at the end of the cycle so I can't understand why this is happening. Apart from this the machine works well. What can I do to try and fix this?

How do you stop lint build up on clothes?

Maz
Maz ·

I have only had this machine for one month so I don't have that problem as yet. I asked the salesman before I bought my machine about an extra filter. He said there is a built in filter so no need to put in another one.

I have the same problem fluff on sheets and blankets so nice sleeping with fluff and no help at all F n P the built in Lint Filter must be pretty slack as for the Agitator how do you get the fly thing out

Does this model have bowl straps

I've gone through the manual and there is no reference to bowl straps

Wow. I am 69 and never heard of Bowl straps. I never needed any such thing. lol This should tell you that F & P know this machine goes out of balance. The trouble with this machine is that it is bigger in diameter and shallow compared to normal depth to other machines I have had. It has no filters, No water level button which i missed. The no filter and big diameter should have sent alarm bells. I have to wash everything on Bulk wash to get enough water to wash the clothes. They have put a front load machine into a top load which you cannot do unless you have water level button. These stupid water saver machines are useless. Other machines have a water level button to over ride the mind the machine. for 1300.00 biggest waste of money. if lived closer I would give it to you for 500.00. the other problem with this machine and others, the motors are not seperate to the drums like good old days. I find more noise . the inside of this machine is different to other machines with no agitator. Has raised bit in the middle and is so rough on the clothes. Clothes come out looking like rages as well. First time i have purchased a F&P never again. also never buy from Good Guys. they do not back their product.. Hope this helps. do not wasted your money. I would look at LG

When my machine is off and not running it slowly leaks water into the bowl. I have found the leak. It is coming from near the spray water at the top of the bowl directly underneath the control panel. It is coming from a round rubber Gromit about the size of a 20 cent piece. The gromit looks as though it is designed to pass water build up. How do I fix this leak?

Hi Brendan. I never had any water leak issues so I'm not sure what the problem would be. It may be an internal hose or the pump or something else.

My machine fills up, very slowly because we have low water pressure. I open the lid and watch the level of water covering the clothes. Then the lid locks, it does some kind of surge sound, and when I can open up the lid again it seems to have emptied itself and the detergent and then it starts again. After 10-12 minutes into the cycle, it then starts washing. It doesn't matter if I choose auto fill or not, or Eco wash? Also it is very noisy clonking sound as it is detecting the water level.

We have lost necklace in the washing machine? Do you have any idea how we could get it out?

Terra
Terra ·

Easy, hopefully.
Make sure there no water in it. Disconnect water hoses, and lay on its side.
The water pump is underneath the tub, with a rubber house coming out of the bottom of tub into pump.
Remove all the screws which connect it to tub.
Loosen both the metal wires on the rubber hose off their connect point, moving then to the middle of the hose to enable pump to be pulled away from the tub. Remove rubber hose also from pump.
You should be able to see the impeller inside the pump. Move its blades around with a screwdriver or such, and see if you can find the necklace stuck in one of the impeller sections.

I just removed a 3cm big ball of thread out of my pump, which had caused it to stop working. Now it runs fine again. It was easy enough for a complete novice like me to do, but did take an hour. Well worth it.
Best of luck!!!

Mine was bought just over a year ago. Since last week it begin to beep and display the error code 'too full' about half way through the wash cycle. The load is in no way full or heavy. I tried it with nothing in the tub yet it still displays the same error. Anyone got any ideas?

Same problem for me too. Also about 12 months after purchase. Lack of responses suggest there is no solution. Bummer!

We had this issue today but found a screw stuck under the agitator causing it not to agitate properly. Once we removed it, it worked perfectly fine again. You may need remove the agitator whilst the machine is empty to see if there is anything stuck underneath.

My cleansmart clothewasher wl1068P1 10kg is not taking in water. I tested the 2 cold water inlet valves and one is open circuited. Can I replace it with the hot water inlet valve because we are not using hot water? We only use cold water for washing.

Tom
Tom ·

Yes you can then follow instructions on page 28 of your user manual to change pre-set options to use cold water only.

My washer won't do full cycle of spin dry just run for 2 minutes n stop but giving this letter on screen OF,B AL,O UE. Any help?

Tom
Tom ·

You can’t mix clothes with towels and sheets otherwise they will become unbalanced. They must be washed separately. Is your machine level? If not check with a level gauge and adjust feet.
Hope this helps?

My machine is a wash smart WA 856OG1 ( 8.5kg). The autodrain function is a pain. Is there a way that it can be switched off, to enable soaking for more than 2 hours. There is already a lid lock function, so this feature is not necessary and removes one of the functions of a top loader.

Why does it take 39mins for a quick wash nearly as long as a normal wash?
