Hi Deb,
as with anything just check with your practitioner before using it in this way. I use it for generalised pain as needed(wrist, knee etc)

Can fisiocrem help with bone cancer in knees and legs ?

This would have no curative effect. And I don’t know if it would be strong enough for the pain but as it is all natural you should be able to use it and try. Please discuss it with a reputable pharmacist before you do so there is no unwanted interactions with other things you are taking.
Good luck. I hope you find some relief.

Hello John, I found this product unhelpful, and wouldn't put any faith in using it for your purpose but then everyone is different. I try so many creams and oils for arthritis pain and they honestly are disappointing. I'm sorry for your problem and sincerely hope you can find some relief somewhere.

I have very painful heel spurs, and have just started to use this, will it help ?

1 answer

You could try, but heel spurs are caused by a calcium build-up on the bone as far as I know. Fisiocrem is more for muscular pain and inflammation. You could contact the manufacturer/distributor to find out more. Good luck!

Can it be used as a numb cream for tattooing?

I doubt it. It has more a warming effect for bruised muscles, sore joints etc

David B.
David B.

It doesn't numb the skin at all. It penetrates the muscles to provide relief, so is unlikely to be useful even after tattooing.

My daughter uses fisiocrem for her Osgood slaters in both knees. She plays a lot of sport and gets some relief with ice and this cream. Any other suggestions?

Brauer ArnicaEze Joint and Muscle gel. It's more a cold/ice gel rather fisiocrem which I think is more warming.
I used Brauer on my injured (twisted) ankle with some relief.
But I really like either of these creams and find both effective.

First I had to read up on your daughters condition. It sure must be painful. I read about it on the Better health channel done by the Victorian health dept. One good thing is that it does get better in 12-18 months. A couple of things you could try if not already doing it, ie ICE packs to the knee and also see a good physiotherapist to get some appropriate gentle stretching exercises. No sport until it has resolved itself. The website did suggest a Xray or ultrasound to rule out other things that could be the problem and to also make sure that there are not any tiny fractures. Because if so fractures cause pain, ask anyone who has fractured a rib. It is not the bone which hurts it is the nerve endings which cause the pain.
If ICE doesn't help try a heat pack of some sort ie hot water bottle but make sure it has a covering over it. You dont want a burn. Also talk to GP about some mild oral pain relief. She may just get enough pain relief from over the counter medication but also talk to pharmacist if she needs something stronger, I know there is 1 more behind the counter Panadiene that the chemist can give her before going for the Panadiene Forte.
Physiotherapy - she may be eligible for the 5 free visits. See GP as he has to write out the care plan which goes to Medicare (old EPC). Once accepted she will be able to see a physio. She may needs some strapping of the area so the physio can teach you how to strap it to help your daughter. Unless you have Health Cover which includes physio, you will be able to use the 5 free ones first before you use the health cover part. If you undertake to do the strapping as advised by physio I would use mobile phone to take photos of how the strapping is done so you can do the strapping at home correctly.
I really can't help much more but keep up the gentle massage or the area with the cream
I got best relief with the cream and heat not ICE. But not everyone is the same as me.

I have hip and leg pain as a result of back issues. This may not be right for me? Voltaren gel does nothing.

2 answers
David B.
David B.

Unless the pain is muscular or tendon strain or inflammation, it may not help. If Voltaren is not working, that could be a sign. If the pain is a referred pain from back issues, then addressing the source at the back may be the only solution.

gerberry
gerberry

Hi Rick. I agree with David. As you say you have back issues. Sounds as though you have a trapped nerve. You need to see your GP For assessment and perhaps then consulting a Neorosurgeon.
I know what you are going through, it took time for mine to be resolved. Because of the type of injury I had it, what was actually happening to me was that my lumbar spine was twisting on itself. My neurosurgeon after consolidating the lumbar spine then put rods down to my sacral bone and this has stopped the spine from y wishing and therefore resolved majority of the pain.
You should also be using a good physio and if you can -hydrotherapy which also help with the pain.
You may also have to go on to Voltaren tablets or similar and Lyrica which is for nerve pain, but do consult with your GP as he/she will have to prescribe Lyrica.
Hope this will help you.

Can you use fisiocrm for pain from neuralgia in forehead?

6 answers
David B.
David B.

I wouldn't be confident, as neuralgia is a nerve-related pain. I have only used Fisiocrem for muscular-related pain, and the tube says "for muscular and joint pain".

However it would be worth asking a pharmacist or chiropractor/physiotherapist as they may have more information and experience. The smaller tubes only cost around $14, so it may be worth a try.

Like the other person who answered I'm not sure, but it is worth a try to rub a small amount over the area to see. I had Shingles last October and have been left with a neuropathic tenderness in one are. I have used Fisiocrem over this area and it does relieve it a little bit. Another product to trial in the same way is Voltaren Gel. Here again only a small amount. With both you can buy small tubes if you don't have any on hand to start with. Unfortunately with neuralgic pain it is a case of trial and error. The product in Fisiocrem - Arnica is supposed to be good for neuralgic type pains and the other thing in Fisiocrems favour is the products are all supposed to be 'natural'.

Hi,
Can you please tell me if the Fiseocrem actually contains any peroxide or Parabens. I have noticed on another site that the information statedfor Solugel is that it can cause permanent side effects if used. Is this the same medication?

Hi Heath,
No not that I am aware of.
I have just gone and got the fisiocrem container and leaflet which both say that it is made from plant extract. I did find when I was looking for tis product that there were a lot of take off products so be very mindfull of that :). I ended up getting ours locally from a massage clinic. Hope I have helped you with you question and you find the right product.
Kind regards Lou

I don't know of peroxide or parabens, not according to my container. I know of a lot of people who have used it because of me and they are very happy with it. I wonder if you have the right product as you state Solugel and not fisiocrem? There could be two different types. I only know that it gave me a lot of relief. I hope you find the right answer.

Cheers Faye

Thanks for the answers to my question. You are probably right when you say I may have been looking at other products with the same sort of name ( Solugel ). I will try and acquire some locally at my back pain centre. Thanks again for the help.
