fantastic watch, poor service
absolutely great watch and cannot fault it.
This is a review about Garmin Australia
the "australian" website and local garmin office (if there is one, I doubt it, probably just a warehouse) are a major disappointment.
Tried to buy several items online and will never now do it from the garmin website (garmin looses out because the items are not in the shops):
Although i am supposedly viewing the Australian website and the URL says garmin.com/en-AU
their website is obviously geared towards the US market and managed from the USA with no specifi...Read more

Worth every penny, still room for improvement tho
This is a fantastic tool for my running, it gives me all the data that I could possibly ever need to ensure that I am getting the most from my runs. It's also a great everyday health guidance tool with a stress meter that's been spot on and a sleep monitor that helps give me a better understanding of what affects my sleep. The battery life is fantastic as well, I only need to charge it about once every 5-7 days depending on use.
Worth every penny
There's really only one thing it needs to improve on, but to be honest I'm not sure if anyone is...Read more
doing this as I didn't think to look while doing research. I find it frustrating that in 2022 I can't change all the data screens and everything else on the device from my phone, it can only be done in the device which is ok but a little time consuming and a minor hassle, but no where as simplistic as it would be if we could do it on the Garmin connect app which is otherwise very good. The good thing is though that this is really a software thing so can change in the future and given you can already transfer workouts and other information from your phone to the device I feel like its something that could be done. Heck my polar bike computer was allowing this feature 15 years ago so there's no excuse Garmin haha. The missing ability to store music on the device or use paywave is a non issue for me so I was happy to save the hundreds of dollars in getting this over the newer version that has them. I will always bring my phone with me in case of emergencies so I use that for music and paywave. I hoped this helped and if you have questions I'm happy to reply to you if you want to know anything about it.
Purchased in December 2021 for A$399.00.

Good points let down by poor performance
Let's be clear - if you buy a Forerunner 935 you are not going to be disappointed. Good battery life and genuinely interesting fitness metrics (e.g. stress level, R.E.M. sleep, etc). Very light and comfortable to wear and supports multiple sports and activities.
So why only three stars?
Firstly because in multiple areas it works worse than the cheaper Forerunner 735xt. It regularly fails to notify of emails/SMSs (and when it does they are delayed). Note using same phone as the 735xt which never failed to instantly notify of emails/SMSs. ...Read more
GPS performance is worse - On the 735xt pressing RUN and almost immediately the watch reported GPS and tracked the distance, but on the 935 the GPS takes at around 30 seconds to lock on. Then there is the display - The same watch face is easier to read on the 735xt than on the 935. The font is slightly bigger on the 735xt. This is made worse because while both screens are exactly the same size (across) the 935 watch case is several mm larger, making the screen look even smaller. Side by side the 735xt display is actually brighterSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great watch... HR NQR
if you want great watch that can be used every day and also have great detail on runs, swims, rides and workouts this is for you. however, i found the HR NQR. i have used other watches and they seem to have better HR monitors. I think if you had a chest strap it would 5/5

Best runners watch ever!
My Garmin Forerunner 630 had a cracked glass. Insurance paid for a new Forerunner 935. $579 from Rebel when they matched an online price I had. This is a substantial step up from my 630. For starters it’s a triathlon watch and can be used in open water whereas the 630 is simply a great runners watch. The 935 is essentially the Fenix 5 without all the extra weight only weighing about 13 grams as opposed to 20 something for the Fenix. Might not sound like much but I really noticed the weight difference in my wrist when I was deciding between the ...Read more
2. The 935 gives a lot more data than I will ever need and I only use it for running so really overkill for me - but hey - thanks to insurance I got a great watch that gives me all my running data including heart rate, cadence, gogg gps tracking and maps of where you go, VO2 max data, work load ... you name it it tells you. Download the Garmin app and you also get it in more detail on your phone but I’m relying on the watch itself more and more to check out my runs. Unlike the overly touchy touch screen on the 630 it uses 5 buttons on the sides which are really easy to work out and help you navigate through all the data. Like all Garmins it gives you notifications through blue tooth from your phone so I know who’s ring me at work when I haven’t got the phone on me - very useful for what I do. Good size if you like a large watch and I downloaded a big easy to read watch face from the free Garmin store- lots of widgets and watch faces in there to choose from. As I said - overkill for the average or even serious runner and even at $579 an expensive option but I’m really glad I broke my 630 ... I love this watch!Similar opinion?
