I've been using this product for more than 2 years now. The wide plates make it very easy for straightening thick hair and the ceramic plates make it a 'healthier' option for your hair.
I use it for curling my hair too and it's super easy.
Heats up quickly and maintains it's temperature. Also has a handy alert function for when you've left in on unattended.

Quite happy with the results, although it is quite pricey. It is easy to use, basically plug and let it heat up, which might I add heats up quite fast. Sometimes however if my hair is frizzy it can snag but other than that it is good

Bought it for my partner and they can't get enough of it, its every easy to use, heats up in no more than a minute and it doesn't snag on hair at all

Bough it as a gift for wife and she is extremely happy with it. happy wife happy life. good product with great customer service. highly recommended as a gift if you have to gift it to a female.

I love my GHD! I have a limited Christmas edition platinum styler, and my V gold max. My V Gold max heats superbly and in no time of course. I love how GHD have the feature of the styler switching itself off when left on but inactive also. These stylers straighten AND curl amazingly. I would only ever buy GHD for my hair!

I bought this straighter a year ago, when i first bought it i loved it i am a hairdresser so i use it often it heated quickly and did a great job, about 6mnths ago it started beeping everytime I would turn it on, i took it back to the store i bought it from and they have adivsed i need to send it back to GHD themselves and get a full return

I have extremely thick wavy hair and ghd has been my saviour in that department. I have long hair and it hasn't changed the condition although i have cut back to twice a week. I bought my first ghd over 10 years ago and used it everyday then and always got compliments on how healthy and shiny my hair was. I can't imagine not using ghd..

Not happy, didn't realise they'd changed manufacturers. I usually read reviews but because I was happy with the brand before I made a spur of the moment purchase during a sale.This one takes alot longer to generate the same heat in the hair and doesn't get the same result. Will be repairing my old one and have wasted my money unless I can sell it.

This is my 2nd GHD - my first one broke after dropping it on the floor a million times. I could not live without my GHD, I love it and use it daily.
Do Not get a cheap hair straightener, you will regret it and eventually buy a GHD.

Hair has never looked so straight and healthy due to these wider plates. So happy with them. My only worry is that I may have registered my GHDs under the wrong styler but I assume putting in the codes requested will identify the correct product should I ever have to contact.

As a devout use of ghd for over 10 years I wasn't put off the mixed reviews I read but having replaced my straighteners with the max styler (3rd time) I am disappointed. The plates are smoother on the hair but the final product does not give you that super sleek finish, yes it is straight but my hair just seems a bit fluffy/frizzy when it didn't before - not really sure why, plates not as hot perhaps?? Think their competitors are getting better and considering the cost of them it might be time to try a new brand next time .

Since 2004 I have owned 4 separate GHDs, some gifts and some I have bought myself. I have an unhealthy obsession with straightening my hair and do it every day and take very good care of my straightners. When each of these straightners have stopped working it has therefore been very upsetting and I've quickly rung GHD only to find they're just out of warranty. The first I had an electrician replace the cord, the second one of the plates stopped heating up and the last two simply would not turn on. Foolishly I've then quickly replaced my GHD. I won't be making the same mistake again.

I have purchased 3 of these bloody things for my wife and now her Gold Metallic one just stopped working?
I have contacted supplier but it may be out of the warranty period how unusual.
Its only about 2 years old and never dropped or damaged. Worked yesterday but today nothing.

My husband surprised me recently with a ghd. Ive never owned one before & im just loving it! I've got thick hair and what would normally take me 30 mins to straighten with my old straightener takes me about 7 mins with the ghd. Thank you love this product!
