Great commuter - perfect for around town

published

First thing's first - this is a small capacity, single cylinder bike... so don't expect a rocket.

Once you've got over that, you'll start to appreciate the torque this little engine does have. Keeping the bike in the 4-6k rpm range will keep you tracking along perfectly in most traffic. It runs out of breath once you try to accelerate from 80/90kph upwards, but is still perfectly capable of cruising at Australian speed limits.

Great fuel efficiency too - I'm regularly returning 3.7-3.9 litres per 100km with my daily peak hour commuting.

Purchased in October 2021.

cb300f. What a wonderful bike!, perfect in every way!, handling, braking, acceleration, and fuel economy(30k per litre, depending riding style, for me,a bike for life, hopefully 20y?.), a cruising speed of 140k if required!, so far a hard run-in and the bike has not missed a beat!, I have given it 4 oil changes, as recommended by some schools of thought, see cb300r forum, a wealth of information for the cb300f also, I went for a ride with 40 other riders and easily kept up with the 1st, 10 or 12 in the group!
